I. OBJECTIVES:
At the end of the lesson, the learners should be able to:
a. Identify the defective and non-defective hand tools.
b. Tell the importance of defective and non-defective hand tools and;
c. Present scenarios that involve checking of defective and non-defective
hand tools.

III. Methodologist/Procedures
A. Preliminary Activities
a. Prayer
The teacher will ask one student to lead the prayer.
b. Greetings
The teacher and students will greet each other.
c. Classroom Management
The teacher will ask the students to pick up the pieces of
garbage under their chairs and throw them into the
garbage bins.
d. Checking of attendance
The ask the secretary who are absent today.
e. Classroom rules
The teacher will ask the students to recall the classroom
rules.
1. Establish sense of respect to each other.
2. Avoid talking to seatmates when the discussion is
ongoing.
3. If someone would like to answer, raise the right
hand and wait to be recognized.
4. Lend one’s ears and pay attention to the person
who is talking.
5. Participate in every activity.

f. Review
The teacher will ask the students about the previous topic
that they tackled about the different tools and equipment
in Welding.
g. Motivation
The teacher will conduct an activity called “Fix Me”.

h. Presentation
The teacher will ask the students to guess the topic
based on the activity.
The teacher will reveal the topic which is about the
Defective and Non - Defective Hand Tools.
The teacher will let the students to read the objectives
that they will attain after this lesson.

At the end of the lesson, the learners should be able to:


a. Identify the defective and non-defective hand tools.
b. Tell the importance of defective and non-defective
hand tools and;
c. Present scenarios that involve checking of defective
and non-defective hand tools.

B. Lesson proper
The teacher will present an activity regarding to the topic.
The teacher will instruct the students to identify the different practices
in identifying the defectives and non – defectives hand tools.
After the activity teacher will check the answer of the students and
discuss the following practices in identifying the defective and non –
defectives hand tools.

C. Application
 The teacher will divide the class into 4 by letting them
count from 1 to 4.
 Ask the students to be with their group mates to discuss
the activity.
 Provide the instruction of the activity.
 They will be graded with the criteria or rubrics presented.

Collaboration: This component assesses the
student's ability to work collaboratively with other
participants in the role-playing activity. This
includes factors such as whether the student is
listening to others, contributing to the discussion,
and building on the ideas of others.

D. Generalization
 Ask the students to give at least one practices in
identifying the defective and non – defective hand tools.
 Ask the students to give their insights on what is the
importance of different practices in identifying defective
and non – defectives hand tools.

IV. Evaluation
The teacher will let conduct a general quiz regarding to the topic that was
being discussed.

V. Assignment
Research and advance study about the procedures on using different hand
tools and equipment.
