Gestational Diabetic mellitus Evaluation and

Treatment

PPT Notes

Student’s name:

Student group Programme:

Slide 2: The first slide aims to discuss about a report from the World Health Organization
estimates that there will be 366 million diabetics in the world by 2030, an increase of more than
171 million in 2000, and this represents an enormous increase in the number of diabetics
worldwide since 2000 when gestational diabetes mellitus was first recognized. This is a disease
that affects both mothers and babies throughout the world. It is responsible for several million
deaths and morbidities annually as a result of this disease.

Slide 3: In this slide, the author aims to discuss that it is estimated that 3 to 10 percent of
pregnant women are suffering from gestational diabetes mellitus (GDM), according to the World
Health Organization. As a result of uncontrolled gestational diabetes, women can develop type 2
diabetes, depression, preeclampsia, or even undergo a Caesarean section as a result of it if they
are not able to control or manage their gestational diabetes well. In light of the prevalence of this
problem, clinical audits have become increasingly important as the disease continues to grow.

Slide 4: This slide will explain the structure of the study. The author has used three types of
methods to conduct research methodology. The audit design, inclusion criteria, and exclusion
criteria are the methods used to conduct research which will explained in the following slide.

Slide 5: In the context of quality assurance, a design audit is a systematic approach to reviewing
and evaluating products as seen from the perspective of user experience to ensure that they meet
the standards for accessibility, continuity of user interface (UI) components, and design unity. It
is important to note that in order for a study to be considered for inclusion, there are a number of
inclusion criteria that must be met. Exclusion criteria are used to determine what makes a study
ineligible for inclusion. When selecting studies, there are several factors to consider: Type of
studies: When selecting articles for your research, it is crucial to make sure that they address the
research question in the most appropriate manner possible.

Slide 6: Using an audit methodology, adherence rates can be calculated for individual indications
based on the following metrics: adherence, non-adherence, and over adherence. This can be done
by using adherence, non-adherence, and over adherence as metrics. In order to avoid any
misunderstandings, I would like to point out that one part of the audit will include a diagnosis of
gestational diabetes mellitus as part of the design. As a team, several colleagues and researchers
worked together on the study as a collaborative effort to ensure the success of the study.
Slide 7: Considering that the clinical audit must be carried out in a secondary environment to
ensure the quality of the results, it was decided to perform the audit in this environment. When
the objective is to collect data from secondary sources, it is necessary to acquire secondary
information in order to collect the data at hand. At the beginning of the field of diabetes research,
systematic reviews and meta-analyses were carried out to compare the effects of dietary and
insulin treatment on the treatment of people with GDM at the beginning of the field.

Slide 8: As it is important to keep in mind that pregnant women with diabetes mellitus type 1 or
type 2 have a three to four times higher chance of dying during childbirth than pregnant women
without diabetes, it is very important to be aware of this. Consequently, a person's diabetes needs
to be managed as much as possible during pregnancy as well as a child. I have adapted and
revised a manuscript that was previously published in a journal, and that manuscript has now
been published online as well.

Slide 9: Early detection of GDM in women before they become pregnant is vital to preventing
adverse perinatal outcomes as a result of the condition. Pregnancy and the postpartum period are
very important periods in which the fetus's development needs to be closely monitored. As part
of the treatment of this condition, you will also need to take medication and keep your diet under
control. A lack of efficiency may make it impossible for implementation issues to be addressed
properly as a result of inefficiencies.

Slide 10: This slide is the continuation of the discussion, obesity and glucose resistance in
offspring with GDM are minor but potentially serious hazards. Obesity signifies unhealthy diet,
and resistance of in taking healthy nutritious. According to the analysis, there haven't been any
published audits in the field that are comparable. A nutritious diet and a healthy glycemic level
must be maintained for the management of GDM. The author has signified that a nutritious diet
is an essential aspect in maintenance of GDM. Pregnant women should maintain their diet in
response to nutrition, and in-take healthy food to provide nutrition to fetus.

Slide 11: This slide will provide information regarding action plan to mitigate risks, and
uncertain situation under the influence of management of GDM. There are certain strategies, and
plans that can help resolving unhealthy dietary impact on fetus. Gestational diabetes mellitus
should be identified using prenatal screening testing. In a hypoglycemia state, symptoms
including dizziness, tremors, and excessive perspiration are present, while a hyperglycemic state
includes disorientation, increased thirst, frequent urination, and abnormalities in eyesight. Pay
great attention to the client's vital signs, uterine contractions, and the fetus's heart rate.

Slide 12: This slide includes the reflection review of the research study. When we first started
our investigation, we had no understanding how the clinic operated, but as we went along, we
came to know how it functioned. In this study, gestational diabetes mellitus is covered in great
detail. The study explained the functions, significance, implications, and challenges faced by
people who are suffering from gestational diabetes. People wants healthy life, body, and mind,
which cannot be achieved if they are not focusing on their dietary system, and ignore the concept
of healthy lifestyle.

Slide 13: This slide is the continuation of the above slide which provide reflection review of the
study. As it also gives information on managing diabetes and the impact of stress on it.
Informing the client about techniques for reducing stress. The study also contributes in informing
and implying the significance of nutritious food, and implementing techniques to avoid risks
involving in the survival of fetus due to poor maintenance of GDM. The client should be
informed of the treatment options for symptomatic hypoglycemia.

Slide 14: This slide will provide information considering our past experiences working in a team.
Five people from our group contributed to this particular study effort. The group's medical
professionals, nurses, nutritionists, and clinical psychologists are researching gestational diabetes
mellitus. Despite first being unaware of how the clinic operated, the entire circumstance and
studies were examined. Eventually, the group made a great research study that can be continued
for further study. We are also eager to gain more information in this aspect, and will try to
implement it on life.

Slide 15: In this slide, we will have discussed the feelings we experienced at work place. The
reflective cycle developed by Kolb will be used in the investigation. The nurses will need to
physically encounter the issue for concrete experience. Gestational diabetes mellitus will be the
subject of the reflective observation. The study will be very effective if done a group of people.
The people were friendly there, and this is the reason our group did not shy away to ask question
about the things. We gained great significant knowledge, and this will eventually grow more
reasons to collect more information in this concept.

Slide 16: This slide will explain the evaluation report of our experience. We were previously
unaware of this illness, but it would provide me with a wealth of new information. According to
our evaluation experience, the success depends heavily on paying attention to the scenarios. Each
and every procedure is meticulously assessed while conducting the research. Even though the
whole group was unaware of the challenges of the illness, but by conducting research and
gaining experience with experts, we acknowledged most of the information.

Slide 17: In this slide, I will explain my experience working in the group. Along with the facts I
acquired about diabetes, I appreciated the group work. In this paper, the treatment regimen for
gestational diabetes is described in great detail. It is acknowledged that several things need to be
addressed in order to offer the people better options and direction. I have gained more knowledge
on the concept of gestational diabetes, and my group also conducted research on it. The research
is based on factual and experienced individuals that have quite knowledge about the things that
occurs on a daily basis.

Slide 18: This slide will conclude the reflective study of group project. In the clinical audit, the
team's objective is to gain more knowledge on gestational diabetes mellitus. Reflecting on three
techniques allows for a complete presentation of the entire scenario. The discussion of the audit
is then offered in the form of a justification. The whole procedure is conducted on a detailed
research, and implies on the significance of healthy dietary. The whole group also explore about
the concept of healthy food, and nutritional food that can be breakdown thoroughly.

Slide 19: As I mentioned in the previous slide, this slide will elaborate on the plan for
implementing the action in the future. During the following years, I am going to conduct a
clinical audit once again. It is my hope that I will be able to continue to develop managing
gestational diabetes while managing my gestational diabetes. I will pry open new things and a
healthy reaction to diabetes, and a healthy diet. I will properly manage my diet structure and
encourage others to follow it for health and safety. The impact of gestational diabetes occurs
significantly on the immune system as well as on body health.

Slide 20: Continuing the above slide which had described the action plan, this slide will describe
the next step in developing the action plan. In order to find a cure for gestational diabetes, I will
continue my research into this disease. For the cure of this disease, I plan on working on a
variety of techniques that will be necessary. Additionally, I will spend time trying to manage my
gestational diabetes in order to improve my health.  I have gained quite good experience with the
group that I ad work with, I will pursue the implications of healthy diet in my life, also ensure
others that are in my reach to pave the things of healthiest life.
