GABBAR IS BACK PLOT

Akshay Kumar plays the role of Aditya an extremely virtuous professor of the

National College. He is a common man but with an iron will to wash away
corruption and other evils that prevail in the society. Aditya has a tragic past in
which his beloved wife Kareena Kapoor who was pregnant dies in a building
collapse. Furious with the incident, Aditya gathers all the proofs against the
corrupt and evil builder Digvijay Patil (Suman Talwar) but it all goes in vain since
he is just a commoner.
The canvas of the film further unfolds when Aditya after five years forms his
team with his ex-college mates and present National College students. He
forms the army of 'Gabbar' in order to teach Digvijay Patil and other corrupt
bureaucrats a lesson. As the story moves forward Gabbar meets Shruti, a young
journalist who helps him to gather evidence of corruption and bring it to light.
Gabbar also confronts the corrupt officials responsible for his wife's death and
metes out punishment to them. Meanwhile the laid-back set of Police is shown
in the scenario; they are unable to crack the mystery of Gabbar. Sadhu (Sunil
Grover) is an honest constable but the most undervalued one by his seniors.
The major purpose of this tale is to aware and make the youth and the citizens
rise against corruption and other evils of the society.
In the end, Gabbar is able to expose the corrupt system and inspire others to
join his cause. He is hailed as a hero by the people, but the police continue to
pursue him. Gabbar's fate is left ambiguous, but the movie ends with a
message that corruption will not be tolerated and that justice will prevail.

Ethical problems shown in the movie

"Gabbar is Back" is a Bollywood movie that revolves around a vigilante who
seeks to bring justice to corrupt officials and politicians. While the movie is
intended to entertain and inspire, there are some ethical problems that are
depicted in the film:
1. Lack of transparency: The movie highlights the issue of corruption and
the lack of transparency in the government system. The officials are
shown accepting bribes and hiding important information from the
public. This lack of transparency and accountability can lead to a culture
of corruption and can erode trust in government institutions.
2. Revenge vs justice: The movie blurs the lines between revenge and
justice. The protagonist seeks revenge for his personal loss, but his
actions are justified as justice for society. This can create confusion about
the distinction between revenge and justice, and can lead to the
glorification of vigilante justice.
3. Demonization of politicians: The movie portrays politicians as universally
corrupt and evil. This simplistic portrayal can create a negative
perception of politicians and can undermine democracy by promoting a
distrust of elected officials.
4. Vigilantism as a solution: The movie presents vigilantism as the only
solution to corruption. This can send the message that the legal system is
ineffective and that taking the law into one's own hands is justified. This
can lead to a breakdown of the rule of law and can erode the trust of the
public in the legal system.
5. Use of force: The protagonist resorts to violence to achieve his goals, and
this violence is often depicted as heroic. This can promote a culture of
violence and can normalize the use of force as a means of solving
problems.

Reviews on the movie

"Gabbar is Back" received mixed reviews from both critics and audiences.
While some praised the film for its entertaining action sequences and strong
social message, others criticized it for promoting vigilantism and glorifying
violence.

Critics appreciated the performance of Akshay Kumar in the lead role and the
film's bold portrayal of corruption in Indian society. However, some felt that the
film lacked depth and nuance in its exploration of complex issues.

Audiences were generally divided in their opinions. Some found the film to be
an exciting action-packed thriller with a powerful message, while others felt
that it was too simplistic in its portrayal of corruption and the solutions to the
problem.
Overall, "Gabbar is Back" was able to generate a lot of buzz and discussion
around the issues of corruption and vigilantism in India, but it also sparked
debate about the appropriate ways to address these problems.

Conclusions from the movie

"Gabbar is Back" raises important ethical and social issues related to
corruption, transparency, and vigilantism. While the film may be entertaining
and thought-provoking, it is important to approach it critically and consider the
ethical implications of the actions depicted in the film.

Some possible conclusions and learnings from the movie are:

Corruption is a serious problem that needs to be addressed: The movie

highlights the pervasive nature of corruption in Indian society and the need for
a concerted effort to tackle this issue. It also emphasizes the importance of
transparency and accountability in government institutions.

Vigilantism is not a sustainable solution: While it may be tempting to take

matters into one's own hands, vigilantism can lead to chaos and a breakdown
of the rule of law. It is important to work within the legal system to bring about
change.

Violence is not a solution: The use of violence, even in the pursuit of justice,
can create more problems than it solves. Non-violent means of protest and
advocacy should be explored and utilized.

Stereotyping can be problematic: The movie portrays corrupt officials and

politicians as being universally evil, which can lead to a simplistic
understanding of complex issues and may unfairly demonize certain groups of
people. It is important to approach issues with nuance and avoid falling into
stereotypes.

Change starts with individuals: The movie shows how one person can make a
difference and inspire others to join a cause. It emphasizes the importance of
individual action and the power of collective efforts to bring about change.
