WORK BREAKDOWN STRUCTURE
1. PROJECT GOAL
Define and document the specific goals we wish to achieve with
the new website.

2. PROJECT PLANNING
i) Preparation-
• Gathering Information - brainstorming on the project,
research on user functionalities, traffic of site, nature
of users, cost and time required to build the website
• Making a contract
• Choosing the perfect domain

ii) Structure
• Deciding and creating a blueprint of the layout of the
website
• Deciding allocations of various functionalities of the
website
• The website should contain subdivisions in the main
page in order to access different content easily

iii) Design
• Deciding the colour palettes of the website
• Choosing colour frames and font
• Making a page index for easy navigation for the user

iv) Content and Assembly


• Content creation for the page - should contain
understandable and useful information required for
the customers
• A systematic order of proceeding in the website
• Addition of links, images and directories wherever
necessary

3. PROJECT EXECUTION
i) Production/Coding-
• Code the necessary requirements for the page
(bootstrapping the code)
• Type an error free code for both design and the
content part of the page
• Program the functionality and writing of the page
• List the tasks in each page
• Link related documents
• Insert texts and images
• Write the working of the page
• Make a document for every page
• Align all drop-boxes one after the other
• Add necessary illustrations and details displayed with
right and apt information
• Integrate the back and front end of the website

ii) Testing, Review and Launch


• Debugging the source code
• Quality check of the contents in the webpage
• Run all commands and codes in the website
• Check response of drop box
• Set cookies for the website
• Check for the integrity and performance of the
website.
• Look into quality control and user experience
• Discuss the various flaws in the run and rectify them
• Prevention of viruses
• Applying Changes
• Publish the website

iii) Server
• Connect your website to the server
• Fetch the right domain and have a mock run for the
website
• Find a host

iv) Final stage

• Launching the website


• Marketing and advertisement for the site.
• Get feedback about the site, user experience and
recommendation.
• Providing service for the users through the website

4. PROJECT COMPLETION

Maintenance

• One the website is launched, it must be monitored


continuously so that updates and changes can be made
as and when necessary.
