About Me:
My name is Muhammad Hamza Taj and I live in Lahore, Pakistan. I belong to a kind and gentle family.
Educationis an integral part of my life. Receiving higher education from UK would be like a dream come
true for me. I want my future to be bright and become a good lawyer for my country. I’m a very
hardworking person and like to take up challenges as I remain calm under stressful situations.
Moreover, I enjoy participating in various activities. I’m firm in decision-making, communication,
teamwork, organization and time management. I’m fluent in English, Urdu & Punjabi. My extra-
curricular hobbies include, travelling, gaming, movies, cooking, and sports, eg., cricket, badminton and
swimming. I would like to be able to help those who cannot afford good legal representation, as my
contribution to the society.
Educational & Work History:
I recently completed my intermediate (HSSC) with 72% marks from one of Pakistan’s well known and
famous institutions, Forman Christian College Lahore. The Historical College laid its foundation in Lahore
in 1864, over a period of 159 years. I am currently working as admin since 2022 in my family business
Sheikhupura rice mills as I got some family problems because of that I was unable to continue and
focus on my study. Now everything is almost settled around me, and I wish to complete the foundation
year in business and law leading to bachelor’s degree in Law from Northumbria University, as according
to research it is a well-reputed institution for bachelor’s students and will help me to succeed in my
ambitions as top lawyer in my country. I want to join and upgrade my skills to achieve something better
for myself and for the community.

The cost of education is affordable for my family and British system is one of top education systems in
the world. There is a vast variety of world class degrees to help us prepare and succeed in our career. The

Furthermore, the duration of degree takes less time to complete in the UK as compared to other
countries. To manage our everyday expenses along with our studies we can work part time as well. It
will also help to obtain a good experience in our own field of study. We can also explore different

Since my childhood I have seen people struggling to get justice from our judiciary system. For me Law is
a noble way to help people by providing the justice to vulnerable. Law is used to settle disputes, to
punish, to govern, conduct businesses, protect rights of people and render justice. Similarly, only tool
that the state uses is the legal machinery to correct malpractices of the society and respond to the
changing needs of the society. It plays a general role in our Social, Political and economic life. It helps to
maintain peace and establish Standards of Conduct. As a lawyer I will always looking to working in a
dynamic environment and boredom will never set in as it has different challenges daily. This profession
will be able to develop a just nature and a sharp mind at analyzing people, situations and solutions. The
fact that the job involves upholding justice in society and standing up, for what is right makes the
society respect a lawyer. It is a very competitive field which requires energy, time and effort that you
put in and achieve success.
That why I choose the Northumbria University that offers pathway of business and law leading to Law
and other business related undergraduate degree programs. The course modules are perfectly in line
with my interest. The modules of Professional Planning Development will help me to determine and
enhance my capabilities of interaction and team work, Entrepreneurship and innovation module will
help me to explore my adaptation and development of new ideas into any business. Contemporary
Business Issues will help me to understand how business decisions are by interdepartmental
communication. Ethical Practice in Action module will help me to develop and sustain the habit of
doing the right things ethically. Overall this course covers all the aspects that will help me to
successfully progression in LLB hons.
My Future Ambitions:
After finishing my bachelor's degree, I will have an opportunity to establish and further my career in
any top law firm in Pakistan. Many of the graduates are building their careers in public and private
sectors and will also have a chance to enter in the Judiciary as a Judge. Pakistan is a developing
country, as government of our country is also offering jobs to highly skilled graduates through their
different and diverse programs. I will be able to serve my country in different law sectors including civil,
criminal, common law and equity, public and private law etc. I will not only be fulfilling my career but
will also play a role in the improvement and implementation of poor law enforcement in my country. I
have keenly observed that Pakistan has a weak and fragile justice system, which ignited the passion in
me to bring about change. I aim to merit my degree, practice it to perfection and return to Pakistan as a
professional lawyer to serve my country and its people. Studying law is not an easy way going
especially when you have ambition to work in a developing country but this perfect combination of
modules with the well-versed faculty of Northumbria University will allow me to grip all the major
concepts of law which will ultimately help me in my professional skills and career.
