    Batch Auto-Interpretation

    “Auto_Interpret-Pending” folder:

    A new folder with the folder template “Auto_Interpret_pending ” should be created


    to view all the samples that are eligible for auto interpretation. From this folder,
    through Options -> Auto Interp No review option the sample information will be
    loaded with interpretation text from codes 101 and 727. The samples will also have
    the status changed to ‘Authorized’.
    “Auto_Interpret-Authorize” folder:

    A new folder with the folder template “Auto_Interpret-Authorize” should be created to


    view all the auto-interpreted samples.
    View Log information:

    While opening “Auto_Interpret- Pending” folder , all the samples that are successfully
    filtered will be displayed in the folder and the reason for other samples which are not
    filtered are logged in C:\Auto_Interp.csv file . This file will be useful for verification
    for failure samples that are not eligible for auto interpretation.
    Appendix A
    The following are the rules to determine if the Diesel engine used oil is Normal

    1. If Fuel = Negative and


    2. Glycol = Negative and
    3. Water = Negative and
    4. If fluid weighjt = 40 W then V100>=12.5, if fluid weight = 30W then V100>=9.3.
    If none then V100>=12.5
    5. TAN = blank and
    6. TBN = blank and
    7. Oxidation <= (50% allowable) and
    8. Soot <= (120% allowable) and
    9. Sulfation <= (80% allowable) and
    10. Hours/Miles/KM’s on oil <> Blank and
    11. Fe, Pb, Cr, Cu, Al, Sn and Si are below dealer wear tables or
    12. Fe, Pb, Cr, Cu, Al, Sn and Si are below Cat Model wear tables or
    13. Fe, Pb, Cr, Cu, Al, Sn and Si are below Cat Family wear tables
    14. And (Na < 25) and (K < 25 or Blank) and
    15. Make up oil is <= 1 gallon or 4 liters or 4 quarts or blank
    16. Auto Interpreted sample should have the evaluation code = 101, recommendation
    code =727 and overall interpretation = “No Action Required”

    The following are the rules to determine if the Hydraulic or Transmission used oil is
    Normal

    1. If Glycol = Negative and


    2. Water = Negative and
    3. Viscosity = +/- 2 cst of previous 3 samples or blank and
    4. TAN <=1 or blank and
    5. Oxidation <= (40% allowable) and
    6. Soot <= (22% allowable) and
    7. Sulfation <= (60% allowable) and
    8. Hours/Miles/KM’s on oil <> Blank and
    9. Fe, Pb, Cr, Cu, Al, Sn and Si are below dealer wear tables or
    10. Fe, Pb, Cr, Cu, Al, Sn and Si are below Cat Model wear tables or
    11. Fe, Pb, Cr, Cu, Al, Sn and Si are below Cat Family wear tables
    12. And (Na < 25) and (K < 25 or blank) and
    13. ISO Code (<= 19/16 AND < 2 ISO codes of previous sample) .If there are three
    interval values like “5/19/16” then last two interval values like “19/16” should be
    checked for (<= 19/16 AND < 2 ISO codes of previous sample) condition.
    14. Make up oil is <= 1 gallon or 4 liters or 4 quarts or Blank
    15. Auto Interpreted sample should have the evaluation code = 101, recommendation
    code =727 and overall interpretation = “No Action Required”
    The following are the rules to determine if the Gear used oil is Normal

    1. If Water = Negative and


    2. Viscosity = +/- 2 cst of previous 3 samples or blank and
    3. Hours/Miles/KM’s <> Blank and
    4. Fe, Pb, Cr, Cu, Al, Sn and Si are below dealer wear tables or
    5. Fe, Pb, Cr, Cu, Al, Sn and Si are below Cat Model wear tables or
    6. Fe, Pb, Cr, Cu, Al, Sn and Si are below Cat Family wear tables
    7. And Na < 25 and
    8. ISO Code (<= 22/18 AND < 2 ISO codes of previous sample) and
    9. Make up oil is <= 1 gallon or 4 liters or 4 quarts or blank
    10. Auto Interpreted sample should have the evaluation code = 101, recommendation
    code =727 and overall interpretation = “No Action Required”
