I am a highly motivated, and dedicated Registered Nurse, who is open to learning, and also very keen on career advancement. I am
disciplined, enthusiastic, honest, flexible, and with good communication and interpersonal skills. I am efficient at multitasking based on my
exposure and trainings. I have demonstrated this on several occasions especially when I had to be moved from one unit to another in
occasions where there are staff shortages.
I appreciate the importance of inter professional collaboration for the good of the patient, therefore I work closely with other professionals
during meetings, emergencies and other situations in the hospital in order to execute effective evidence based care.
I offer care while ensuring duty of condor, incident reporting through the appropriate means in times of accident, ready to admit and
correct mistakes, giving mutual respect, asking for guidance in areas where I am not competent, so as to attain the skills and also bear the
confidentiality of patients condition in mind. Also, I have post basic IT skills which is used in proper documentation of clinical activities and
record keeping within the healthcare sector.
Furthermore, working in large tertiary facility under great pressure and intense stress daily, for a few years now, including in the Surgical,
Medical, Orthopedic, Accident and Emergency, Geriatric, Psychiatric and other wards of the hospital, has helped me to devise
mechanisms in working under such stressful conditions without putting my Clients or Colleagues in danger. I am genuinely interested in
delivering the highest standard of patient-centered care to my patients in accordance with NMC code of professional conduct so as to
maintain as well as improve my clinical nursing skills and willing to undertake trainings relevant to this role. I am also willing to take up any
role within the team and yield myself to professional development in the discharge of my duties. Prioritizing of duties, organizing work
loads and time management have helped me immensely alongside music therapy during my breaks and off days.
I am well aware that the healthcare system cannot thrive without collaboration. Therefore, team effort is of great concern to me and I have
subjected myself to it over the years, ensuring that the patient who is at the epicentre of care, gets the very best from the entire health
team. It will be my pleasure to replicate this in your facility if given this employment.
I am very detailed with task and over the years have come to realize how my perfectionist personality has become a major strength in my
clinical skills, ensuring that my delivery of care is done meticulously and with accuracy. I believe I can easily replicate this if given the
opportunity to work with your trust.
In addition, I have met the requirements of the NMC, passed my IELTS and NMC_RNA CBT test, and presently awaiting to take OSCE. If
given the opportunity to work in the role of a Band 5 nurse in your Trust, I will commit to upholding your trust values while ensuring that
clients and patients get the very best of care they deserve.
