Informative Speech Outline

Creative Topic: Maintaining a stable and productive study life.

Specific objective: To inform the audience about the importance of maintaining a stable and

productive study life.

Introduction

a. Attention Getter: It was the great scientist and Nobel Prize winner Albert Einstein

who once said “Never regard study as a duty, but as the enviable opportunity to

learn.”

b. Thesis Statement: Maintaining a stable and productive study life will be highly

beneficial to students of all ages and can be achieved by using three (3) general

methods: starting with a positive mind-set, creating a reward system and finally

getting enough sleep and rest.

Body

1. Main Point: The first method of improving your study life is by starting with a

positive mindset.

Supporting details:

a). A negative attitude significantly reduces the effectiveness of your study.

b). Stay motivated by believing in yourself and using time wisely.

c). Let go of unrealistic expectations and self-criticism.

Transitional Sentence: Along with starting with a positive mindset you must also ensure

that you create a reward system.

2. Main Point: It is often said that “All work and no play makes Jack a dull boy”

therefore, creating a rewards system, the second method, is very important.

a). Prevents exhaustion and burnout.

b). Keeps you on track and motivated.

c). Creates a positive reinforcement cycle around your study sessions.

Transitional sentence: While it is essential to start with a positive mindset and create a

reward system it is even more essential to get enough sleep.

3. Main Point: Getting enough sleep and rest is the final method of effective studying.

1. Summary: A highly effective study life can be achieved and can be maintained by

having positive mind-set, creating a reward system and by getting enough sleep and

rest.

2. Closure: Implementing these methods will result in better grades, greater knowledge,

and higher self-esteem.
