of ICT in general?
-ICT has revolutionized the way people communicate with each other. With the rise of the
internet and social media, people can now communicate instantly with anyone, anywhere in the
world. This has led to a more connected world and enabled people to maintain long-distance

Task # 2

Identity theft is a growing concern as we become an even-greater online society. What can you do
to keep yourself from falling prey to identity theft? List down at least five suggestions.

1. Use strong and unique passwords: Use a different password for each of your online
accounts and make sure they are strong, complex, and not easy to guess. Consider using
a password manager to help you generate and manage your passwords securely.

2. Be cautious of phishing scams: Scammers often send fraudulent emails or messages

that look legitimate in order to trick you into giving them your personal information. Be
wary of unsolicited emails, links, or attachments, and don't provide your personal
information to anyone you don't know or trust.
3. Keep your software up to date: Make sure your operating system, web browser, and
other software are updated regularly with the latest security patches and fixes. This can
help prevent hackers from exploiting vulnerabilities in your software to gain access to
your personal information.

4. Monitor your accounts regularly: Check your bank and credit card statements regularly
for any unauthorized transactions, and review your credit reports annually to ensure
there are no unfamiliar accounts or activities. If you notice anything suspicious, report
it to your bank or credit card issuer immediately.

5. Be careful with your personal information: Avoid sharing your personal information,
such as your social security number, date of birth, or financial information, online or
over the phone unless you are absolutely sure it is safe to do so. Be cautious of sharing
sensitive information on social media, and limit the amount of personal information you
share online.
