This is a Multichip PIC programmer using serial port. The programmer is a JDM Clone, SR. QTY. REF. DESC RIPTION
named after its Original developer Jens Dyekjar Madsen who devised this first. The 1 1 C N1 9 PIN D C ONNEC TOR - FEMALE
Programmer can program 8-pin to 40-pin devices using single ZIF socket as well as 2 1 C N2 40 PIN ZIF SOC KET
ICSP cable. ICSP option is available at Connector CN3 which is clearly marked for pin 3 1 C N3 6 PIN RELIMATE/BERG C ONNEC TOR
description. LED D4 Provides visual indication of programming taking place. This 4 2 C 1,C 2 100uF/25V
Programmer does not need any power supply. SW1 is a switch select for programming 5 1 C3 0.1uF
40-28 and 18-8 PIC Micros in the ZIF socket. Since the programming voltage is taken 6 4 D1,D2,D3,D5 1N4148
from the Serial Port of the Computer, it is recommended you check this voltage before 7 1 D4 RED LED
using it. Voltage at TxD, DTR and RTS should be ± 7.5V and above. Insertion position 8 1 J1 2 PIN JUMPER WITH C LOSER
of different PIC are clearly marked on the PCB if you wish to use the ZIF socket for 9 2 Q1,Q2 BC 547
programming. SW2 on the PCB selects the “VPP before VDD” option available for 10 1 Q3 BC 557
certain PIC micros with Internal OSC and MCLR chosen. Please check the datasheet of 11 1 R1 1.5K
the respective PIC you choose to program for this feature. Some popular 12 3 R2,R5,R6 10K
programming software used along with this programmer are IC-Prog of Bonny Gijzen 13 1 R3 1K
and WinPic800 available at http://www.winpic800.com. These are freely 14 1 R4 100E
