Universities in Indonesia are required to shift their learning system from Teacher
Centered Learning (TCL) to Student Centered Learning (SCL). Therefore, the Faculty of
Dentistry, Hasanuddin University (FKG Unhas) has implemented the SCL system by
applying the Problem Based Learning method. This learning system demands a change
in the learning mindset, both for lecturers and students. The learning method used at
FKG Unhas is the PBL tutorial method and various other learning methods that have
their own learning objectives and strategies. The various learning methods are used to
achieve the learning objectives of the course. One of the learning objectives is that
students are able to compile scientific papers that meet the standards for
publication.FKG Unhas believes that the SCL will be able to create a professional
dentist profession with good job prospect.
