    Gas Design Engineer (Sales & Design)

    We have a fantastic opportunity for a Gas Design Engineer to


    provide technical leadership and design approval on a range of gas What we are looking for
    infrastructure projects including domestic, residential, commercial
    and multiple-occupancy properties.
    • Degree or equivalent in Engineering
    The Role • Level 4 Qualification in Gas Design
    • Incorporate Engineer Status recognised by IGEM (or expected to achieve within
    • Review and approve all gas infrastructure design for industrial, 6 months)
    domestic and multiple-occupancy projects including all
    • SHEA Gas
    associated documentation, BOQ, FS1, Letter of Offer etc.
    • Significant, demonstrable experience on a range of gas network design projects
    • Completing technical/design/cost checks on all quotations prior
    across industrial, domestic, and multiple-occupancy constructions
    to issue ensuring the most cost-effective best design
    • Detailed knowledge of GIRS standards and guidance
    engineering solutions are achieved.
    • Significant experience with IGEM / SR25
    • Train, mentor and develop the trainee and junior designers in
    line with the training programme and milestone objectives. • Experience of using a range of IT systems including MS Word, MS Excel and MS
    • Liaise and work with other departments, providing and offering Outlook
    alternative design solutions when required. • Good knowledge of CAD software and current drawing conventions
    • Working with Management and Director to ensure we manage • Working knowledge of GASWORKS and SNAP software
    and retain our GIR’s accreditation.
    • Good knowledge of utilities market, including DNO / IDNO arrangements and
