What Kind of Data is Available?

The data in the report are from a food company's annual reports for 2018 and 2019.

Internationally, the company supplies products to a variety of businesses. The information

includes the order, company identification, month, day, total price, product, and country. The

data indicate the specifics needed to classify the orders for recording.

What Can It Be Used For?

The data can be used to track sales. Accounting and trend analysis can also be done with it. The

order I.D. is used to verify each customer and keep track of their transactions in chronological

order. The order price can be used for accounting and forecasting a customer's purchasing habits.

When you dig deeper into a customer's spending, you can examine the product purchased and

decide whether to increase the customer's spending or how much inventory to keep. The report

also shows the country of origin for the customer. This data could be used to identify purchasing

habits in a specific country. It could also be used to predict purchasing trends and repeat

business.
What Is the Purpose of Each Column?

 The goal is also to take into account each transaction and to provide easy access to each

customer. The objective is also to consider each transaction and to ensure easy access to each

customer. Columns for unit price and unit quantity are required because they show the cost of the

units as well as the number of units purchased. This gives the distribution company an idea of the

budget and purchasing trends of the customer. For similar reasons, the column for product name

and category is essential. The grouping of product similarities provides context for how the

company can adapt, increase sales, or market to its customers in a way that is conducive to their

purchasing habits. The customer list also shows the customer who spends most and least.

Types of KPI to Use?

Some of the KPI we could use here could be Visits by top customers by possible implementing a

loyalty program. We could also implement sales and cost KPI to focus on budgets and actual

sales and cost.

Questions That Could Be answered by Utilizing this Data Set:

1. Which products do certain countries often purchase?

2. Who are the biggest customers?

3. Which products bring in the most profit?

4. What is the best-selling product?

5. What quarter brings in the most sales?

Save-a-lot Markets, Quick-Stop, and Rattlesnake Canyon Grocery were consistent over the last 2

years.

In 2018 the graph below shows that May was their best month. In 2019 they increased sales in all

months with August being their best month.

Recommendations/Suggestions

There is a lot that we get from the data. Some of the things I would recommend or suggest are

increasing marketing and promotions in regions where sales are lower to try increasing sales and

gain customers in that region. The company could also do a survey with their customers to see

what new products they want to see and see if there is a common demand for certain products

that can be added to the production to increase sales. Last, track product sales for 6 months and

eliminate the worst sellers.
