Surface Prepara on
Prepare the surface before the applica on of FAREN BUILDCON BLOCK JOINTING MORTAR by removing oil, bond

Wet the blocks, bricks. concrete blocks before applica on of FAREN BUILDCON BLOCK JOINTING MORTAR to avoid
any abrupt absorp on of water from the material.
CONFORMS TO IS 1661-1972, 2250-1981, 2402-1963 Mixing
FAREN BUILDCON BLOCK JOINTING MORTAR requires 25% potable water by weight of material.
Add FAREN BUILDCON BLOCK JOINTING MORTAR to the measured quan ty of water and mix using a mechanical
s rrer for 2‐3 minutes to ensure a consistency free of lumps.
Mix only the required quan ty of material which can be consumed within the 1 hour pot life and do not add more
water than the prescribed water ra o to the already mixed FAREN BUILDCON BLOCK JOINTING MORTAR.
Applica on
It is recommended to apply FAREN BUILDCON BLOCK JOINTING MORTAR with notch trowel for a aining uniform
thickness of 3 mm consistently.
Avoid using FAREN BUILDCON BLOCK JOINTING MORTAR in watery consistency (slurry form) so that genera on of
air voids between the AAC Blocks and development of cracks can be prevented.

FAREN BUILDCON BLOCK JOINTING MORTAR is non‐toxic. Use of gloves and goggles recommended. Any splashes to the skin or
eyes should be washed off with clean water immediately. In case of prolonged irrita on, medical advice should be sought.
FAREN BUILDCON BLOCK JOINTING MORTAR is non‐fammable.
