NARRATIVE REPORT IN THE SENIOR HIGH SCHOOL CAREER ORIENTATION AND


EMPLOYMENT COACHING PROGRAM S.Y. 2017-2018

I. INTRODUCTION

The Department of Education issues the enclosed the Senior High School Career Guidance
Program which aims to guide the Grade 12 students in choosing the right career they want
to pursue in their Tertiary life. It provides avenue for clear visions in terms of decision
making in their life when they encounter different obstacles that may hinder their way in
achieving their life goals. It also aims of motivating Grade 12 students to pursue their
dreams in life no matter what happen.

As such, the Work Immersion Program is one of the course requirements for graduation. A Senior
High School student has to undergo Work Immersion in a business organization or establishment with
work requirements related to their specialization. Before deployment to industry partners, the school
would want to prepare the students in pursuing their `career goals, be it in college, entrepreneurship or
employment.

I. OBJECTIVES

This program, Career Orientation and Employment Coaching will promote awareness in the
importance of choosing a career that suits their skills and interests that matches the
available resources and needs of the society.

Offering careers guidance can not only help pupils make more informed decisions, it can
inspire them to achieve new goals. With more developed career-planning skills, pupils are
inevitably more confident about making their post-16 choices, with a firm understanding of
the requirements needed to pursue certain courses.

Through the maximum participation of the students, untiring support of the parents and the cooperation of

RNHS- Senior High School Department, the following were achieved:

1. Understood the Work Immersion Guidelines

2. Appreciated the importance and application of the principles and theories learned in school.

3. Enriched their skills in communications and human relations.

4. Understand and develop good work habits, attitudes, appreciation and respect for work
