Given that UFO crashes happen on a world‐
wide basis, resulting in many headaches for
governments both allied and “hostile” to the
United States, the question must be asked,
are the aliens simply inept pilots of their
own spacecraft? “That’s another good ques‐

there are crashes. I think it has to do with

December 13, 14 - Geminids Meteor Shower. The Geminids is the king of the meteor showers. It is considered by many to be
the best shower in the heavens, producing up to 120 multicoloured meteors per hour at its peak. It is produced by debris left
behind by an asteroid known as 3200 Phaethon, which was discovered in 1982. The shower runs annually from December 7-17.
It peaks this year on the night of the 13th and morning of the 14th. The waxing gibbous moon will block out some of the mete-
ors this year, but the Geminids are so bright and numerous that it should still be a good show. Best viewing will be from a dark
location after midnight. Meteors will radiate from the constellation Gemini, but can appear anywhere in the sky.
December 17 - Full Moon. The Moon will be directly opposite the Earth from the Sun and will be fully illuminated as seen from
Earth. This phase occurs at 09:28 UTC. This full moon was known by early Native American tribes as the Full Cold Moon because
this is the time of year when the cold winter air settles in and the nights become long and dark. This moon has also been
known as the Moon Before Yule and the Full Long Nights Moon.
December 21 - December Solstice. The December solstice occurs at 17:11 UTC. The South Pole of the earth will be tilted toward
the Sun, which will have reached its southernmost position in the sky and will be directly over the Tropic of Capricorn at 23.44
degrees south latitude. This is the first day of winter (winter solstice) in the Northern Hemisphere and the first day of summer
(summer solstice) in the Southern Hemisphere.
December 21, 22 - Ursids Meteor Shower. The Ursids is a minor meteor shower producing only about 5-10 meteors per hour. It
is produced by dust grains left behind by comet Tuttle, which was first discovered in 1790. The shower runs annually from De-
cember 17-25. It peaks this year on the night of the 21st. This year the second quarter moon will be bright enough to hide all
but the brightest meteors. If you are patient, you might still be able to catch a few good ones. Best viewing will be just after
midnight from a dark location far away from city lights. Meteors will radiate from the constellation Ursa Minor, but can appear
anywhere in the sky.
December 24-25 – Large, red coated bearded man will be observed in a sledge-like craft being pulled through the sky by sev-
eral snorting reindeer, may be heard to shout, ‘Ho, Ho, Ho’. Beware of falling gifts. MERRY CHRSTMAS!!

It was clear that N. did not hold with the ideas of either Gurdjieff or Madam is not known but he is said to have immersed himself in a study of Himmler’s
Blavatsky and rejected the notion of the guiding hand of a demiurgic force to SS. Soon reading and thinking were not enough and the young man went in
mankind’s destiny. This is the opposite to my own view concerning the phe‐ search of like minded folk. He crossed paths with Colin Jordan, the leader of

Churches, New Age shops, even other Satanic groups were enslaving men
not freeing them. Men, N said, must become Promethean rising up to claim
their rightful place among the Dark Gods. Again this slip of the tongue be‐
trayed many secrets, he had unwittingly crossed between Balder‐speak into
pure ONA and was now quoting directly from their manual. Men must con‐
quer addictions, fear, political programming in order to inherit their natural
hegemony. It was a rousing address worthy of a leader, not unlike the type
speech Colonel Collins later gave to his men before entering Iraq. I had come
to like N. in many ways, but there was no getting away from he was straying
very close to saying he agreed with the ONA.
The tiny room was becoming darker and the shadows lengthened into crazy
angles across the books and low coffee table, a natural ambience perhaps in
line with the conversation. Discarding any prelude or verbose preamble N.
asked me directly did I think he was the leader of the ONA? He said this with‐
out a hint of malice or intimidation, the mirage had finally disappeared and
the oasis was in sight for the first time. I answered honestly that everything
that I had seen and heard had convinced me he was the secret head of the
ONA. His ambiguous reply will stay with me always, a fitting close to the
eight‐hour interview.
Strangely I was not tired in the least, but felt quite elated. N saw me to the
garden gate and we parted on good terms and rather graciously he invited
me to return in the future. I thanked him for receiving me and turned and
walked into the remaining rays of the May sun. To this day the chief of the
ONA has never been unmasked, nor has its leader ever come forward; he or

frame but no conclusive evidence has ever stuck to them. N’s words linger
hauntingly etched in my memory “Then I think you have your answer then”.

Title: Ghosts of York
Author: Rob Kirkup
Publisher: Amberley
ISBN: 978‐1‐84868‐236‐8
Price: £12.99
This book concentrates on the city of York (evidently, according to the author, the most hunted city in the world), and culls many
of the reports to find the most interesting and therefore likely to produce a result. The author decided to discover the answer to
the one of the most fundamental questions of all, i.e. are ghosts real and can they be contacted? It is refreshing to see a book
written with such verve and sheer enthusiasm and it’s not long before the reader finds themselves transported into the often
fraught and frequently terrifying world of the amateur ghost hunter.
Several sights are investigated and it is satisfying to see that this is very much a ‘hands on’ project and not the lazy, second hand
recounting of the ‘armchair expert’. We hear about the evidence gathered from electronic voice phenomena (EVP) and also the
more personal impressions of sensitives who actually feel the encounters with those who have gone before. One of the most
interesting comes from an old railway bridge now featured inside the York National Railway Museum, where one of the investiga‐
tors felt profoundly uneasy on one particular section of the bridge, but perfectly normal on another. We discover that the area
producing the feeling of deep unease was the point from where a suicide leapt to their death on the tracks below when the
bridge was sited over a railway line.
There are many nerve‐tingling stories like this drawn from sites all over the city; the Treasurers House is another prime example,
however there are couple of downsides to this otherwise admirable book. It does not seem to have been proofread properly (which, given the usual quality of
Amberley’s products is unusual). There are several major bloopers throughout, including misspellings, sentences that make no sense at all plus some bad
grammar. This is a pity, because in general the book is a good read and these distractions only serve to irritate the reader, but overall I would recommend the
book for the thrill ride that it is.
Title: Haunted Bromley
Author: Neil Arnold
Publisher: The History Press
ISBN: 978‐0‐7524‐9778‐5
Price: £9.99
This, a new addition to the History Press catalogue, is from respected author Neil Arnold and considers the ghosts and ghouls that
haunt Bromley in Kent. The author draws on accounts both old and new and even finds room to take a nod at the subject of Ufol‐
ogy, something that has many unlikely but still valid resonances with more traditional ideas about the paranormal.
The book, which is abundantly illustrated with images of the various locations it covers, tells of such unsettling entities as the
Bromley Poltergeist and assorted unearthly sightings from various towns and villages, but there are two real stand outs in the
collection. One of the most poignant and yet unsettling is the encounter with what may have been a WWII pilot at the iconic Bat‐
tle of Britain air station of Biggin Hill, which is now art of London Airport.
The other genuinely unsettling tales concern the goings on at Chislehurst, where, apart from the almost obligatory haunted pubs,
there are the vast network of tunnels that comprise the Chislehurst Caves, which seem to contain more than their fair share of
ghosts and other entities. The caves, which served as ready made bomb shelters during WWII, play host to ghostly imps, horses,
black dogs and even a Roman soldier has been seen. The book is a fine addition to the canon of History Press paranormal litera‐
ture and a very handy guide to the darker recesses of Bromley; highly recommended.
Title: Reiki, Empowered by It, Embraced by it, Claimed by it.
Author: Robert Levy
Publisher: AYNI Books
ISBN: 978‐1‐78279‐065‐5
Price: £6.99, $12.95
To say that this author of this work is enthusiastic about this subject would be something of an understatement; it has become his
life almost it seems to the point of obsession. The book is well and enthusiastically written and explains, or tries to explain, what
Reiki actually is and that’s not easy. For this reviewer it seems that Reiki is yet another refrain on the old concept of universal en‐
ergy or ‘chi’ and the ability of individuals to tap into and channel it, hopefully for beneficial ends.
Not that this should present any issues, because the author makes it clear that in line with some animistic beliefs Reiki seems semi
‐sentient in its own right and will not allow itself to be used for evil or malign purposes…or perhaps this is the sentience that seem
to govern and permeate the universe. It’s hard to see the difference because other healers claim the same ability only they attrib‐
ute it to God. Here is the main problem with this book, because it is difficult to review it as a stand alone entity, everyone who has
ever been involved with the paranormal (which, let’s face it, Reiki is) has an opinion. I have experienced Reiki and yes, something
happened, I’m not sure what it was, but ‘something’ was going on.
If you are considering trying this ancient healing process either as a practitioner or a recipient, then this book covers most if not all
the bases and sets them out with the authors own preferences and methods to the fore. As an introduction to the subject it’s well
worth the very reasonable cover price.

Title: Haunted Wearside
Author: Darren W. Ritson
Publisher: The History Press
ISBN: 978‐07524‐6088‐8
Price: £9.99
Yet another welcome contribution from Darren W Ritson and The History Press to add to its already considerable catalogue of
material devoted to the paranormal, this time in and around an area of North East England called Wearside. Darren, an old hand
at ghost investigations, has divided the book into four sections dealing with houses and dwellings, roads and streets, the perennial
pubs and hotels and ends up with a miscellany of people, objects and places. In doing so he reveals the rich supernatural heritage
of the area, something that is not widely realised by the general public and perhaps just as well too.
Poltergeists, apparitions of various kinds and anomalous events are all included here, but perhaps one that would resonate with
most people are reports that the late Sid James of ‘Carry On’ fame haunts the Sunderland Empire Theatre where he literally
dropped dead on stage during a performance in April 1976. Oddly enough the comedian Les Dawson (also deceased) who had
some kind of strange sighting there, flatly refused to (a) talk about it or (b) appear in that theatre again. Darren notes that his col‐
league, the redoubtable Mike Hallowell, conducted EVP sessions in the theatre (which has more than one ghost) and was amazed
at the results.
While most of the tales in the book concern human ghosts there is one especially touching account of the ‘Sunderland One’ which
tells of Sunderland Central Rail Station which, as well as having its share of human ghosts, also was reputedly haunted by the
shade of a dog that had made the station its home at the turn of the 20th century. All in all, this book is another welcome addition to the lore of supernatural
goings on in the UK, so if you are ever in the Wearside area looking for ghosts, then this book will serve as a useful hand book and guide.
Title: The Poltergeist Prince of London
Author: Shirley Hitchings & Jason Clark
Publisher: The History Press
ISBN: 9780752498034
Price: £9.99
Shirley Hitchings and James Clark’s 'The Poltergeist Prince of London: The Remarkable true story of the Battersea Poltergeist', is
the first book to reveal the full details behind this chilling event.
The book features Shirley’s complete account of what occurred, including the original investigations and the testimonies of every‐
one involved. This is the first book to be written by Shirley ‐ the girl at the centre of the haunting and it also features the case files
of researcher Harold Chibbett.
The book also reveals previously unknown details and occurrences that still surround this mysterious event. Shirley Hitchings was
at the centre of this incredible haunting and she still possesses Harold Chibbett's original files as well as her family’s journals from
the time. Now that her children have grown up she can finally reveal the full story. James Clark has been researching London’s
ghost stories for almost twenty years. He is a member of The Ghost Club and was the librarian for the Association for the Scientific
Study of Anomalous Phenomena (ASSAP) for many years. His titles include Haunted London and Haunted Wandsworth.
A remarkable case that challenges your belief in regards the existence of poltergeist phenomena. Well worth getting your hands

The Billy Meier Story
Language: English
Run Time: 90 minutes
Number of Discs: 1
Price: £10.42
In 1958, Billy Meier predicted the Iraq Wars, AIDS and global warming. Is it the biggest hoax or the most important story in human
history? You’ll find the startling answer in this remarkable, true‐life story about how a young Swiss boy s meetings with extrater‐
restrials would eventually lead him later in life through dozens of countries, meeting many famous world leaders including Sad‐
dam Hussein in order to fulfill ancient prophecies. Is this story real or too incredible for us to grasp? You must decide for yourself,
but if it s a hoax, why has Meier been the target of 21 assassination attempts? Could it be that the message that humanity so des‐
perately needs to hear is not welcome by many of our world leaders? Special Features ‐The Skeptics view on the Meier Case, Billy
Meier on the true nature of Evolution, the first inter stellar musical collaboration and much more.
I am well aware of the Billy Meier case and have been rather skeptical about it for numerous years. The footage, though very clear
and professional for its day is impressive, but I cannot help thinking that it was some type of elaborate hoax. Hearing rumors many
years ago that one of Billy’s relatives claimed he had manufactured the UFOs from dustbin lids etc and used some sort of suspen‐
sion wires to lift them. I’m not too sure if there was any evidence to such rumors, but nevertheless, for me that case was just a bit
too unbelievable and the footage looked too professional. As if a well planned video production had taken place. If the Billy Meier
case is real, (and there is most certainly a lot to it), then it could be the most significant case in the world, demonstration extrater‐
restrial contact. The case is very interesting, the footage is amazing and the messages replayed from alleged alien beings are very
thought provoking. I good DVD with a wealth of information. Well worth getting a copy for your collection, even if only for nostal‐
gic reasons… (Steve Mera PM Managing Editor).

that explains the ins and outs of modern gadgets and science and technology generally. His speciality,
though, is the weird and apparently unexplained. In this case, everything from something strange in the
sky to something unpleasant inserted into the body during a very close encounter with an alien. That
might make the UFO Investigations Manual sound like a bit of a joke publication. Far from it. Nigel’s guide
is a highly detailed, meticulously researched piece of work that is also a good read – and quite addictive,
even for those not usually drawn in by ufology. His chapters and sections include classifying and identify‐

phase of machines. So the late 19th century and early 20th century sightings look like the balloons, airships
and aeroplanes of the time. The post‐WWII area of jet propulsion and the dawn of space flight brings en‐
counters that are more in tune with what the public knows or can imagine. Politics, science fiction and the
news media also play a role. “The United States Air Force (USAF) was originally open to all sorts of explana‐
tions,” says Nigel. “But in the early 1950s during the Cold War with the (Russian‐dominated) Soviet Union
the Central Intelligence Agency was worried that the Russians could use UFO sightings to spread misinfor‐
mation or to launch a missile strike.” A CIA panel was set up after a wave of sightings over Washington DC
in 1953. “The panel recommended that UFOs be stripped of their ‘aura of mystery’ and the public should
be better educated to be able to recognise the difference between truly hostile aircraft and UFOs,” Nigel
writes in his chapter, Official UFO Investigations. “It was also advised that civilian UFO groups be moni‐
tored ‘because of their potentially great influence on mass thinking... the apparent irresponsibility and
possible use of such groups for subversive purposes should be kept in mind’. “Unfortunately, the policy to
debunk UFOs only made it seem that the government was covering up the subject and knew more about it
than they were wiling to say.”
As tensions eased and governments became more open the public was still suspicious about misinforma‐
tion and selective release. “When the (UK) Ministry of Defence released their records of sightings (in 2009)
mainly people were sceptical. “They said the MoD was only releasing what they wanted us to see. You can
