Back-End Developer / Data Engineer

Kyra Media, with teams in London, New York, and Los Angeles, creates digital content and

three distinct business drivers: exclusive talent access, creative studio content production, and

We are looking for a talented Backend Developer to join our fast paced team as we move into
building out a marketplace and database to better service the creators and brands we work with,
helping us to scale Kyra and become the home for creators.

Role Responsibilities:

● Work closely with founders, product managers and designers to take platform from idea
to execution
● Help with our Database
● Create and manage Kyra's Big Data infrastructure and tools
● Gather, prepare and ingest Kyra's data into a big data environment
● Prepare and create the data extraction processes and data pipelines that automate data
from a wide variety of internal and public source systems
● Create a Node (or similar) backend application
● Manage database setup and structure
● Work with CTO to set up system architecture
● Develop our API structure
● Set up system monitoring tools
● Set up developer-first principles within the team
● Optimise product for performance

Role Requirements:

● 2+ years in Node/Typescript, ETL, Data Warehousing, Snowflake, Redshift, (Javascript


or similar)
● Experience using Git or similar versioning tools
● Experience building APIs
● Previous database architecture experience preferred
● Can flourish in fast paced startup environment

There are three stages to the interview process for the Back End Developer role.

● An initial "Story Swap" phone screen - to understand your skillset and aspiration and
share more details about the role.
● Interview with Sr. Back-End Developer or CTO
● Assessment
● Final Interview
