Why are schools called the "nurseries of the citizens of the state?"

 Nurseries are for the future citizens of the state which is the children. The
schools are called nurseries of the citizens of the state because schools has the
obligation to transmit the cultural and educational heritage as well as as to
elevate national morality, promote national pride, cultivate love of country, instill
allegiance to the constitution and for all duly constituted authorities, and
promote obedience to the laws of the state.
2."Each teacher is a trustee of the cultural and educational heritage of the nation is
under obligation to transmit to the learners such heritage'". In what ways can teachers
do this?

 The teacher should first keep in mind and heart the cultural and educational
heritage to transmit well and touch the heart of the learners because there is a

 Background check, and credentials check to be certain the person is who the
applicant claims to be, is legally eligible to hold a job in the particular country,
and has not committed any crimes or engaged in other behavior that would
disqualify the applicant from holding the position.

establishes a faculty member's right to remain true to his or her pedagogical
philosophy and intellectual commitments. Academic freedom is not absolute
there is limitation for academic freedom.

friends. Every weekend she is seen with her friends in disco inn drinking alcoholic drinks
and frequently goes home drank. Is Ms. B’s activities with her friends commendable.

3. Why should teachers participate in continuing professional education program? What


provision in Article IV is violated when a teacher refused to attend continuing profession
education activities?

 Continuing professional education program can help teachers to be more


effective in their work, stay interested and increase their confidence. When a
teacher refused to attend they violated the Article IV section 3 Continuing
Professional Education (CPE) program of the Professional Regulation
Commission.

4. What is meant by “dignified means for earning a decent living?” Give examples.

 It means teacher shall use the teaching profession in a manner that makes it a
dignified means for earning a decent living. And teacher shall not use teaching
through personal advertisements and other questionable means of earning for
descent living.

their students you are responsible for holding every student’s data in confidence
and sharing it only with necessary parties such as parents, other teachers and
administrators.

Give your reaction on the following situations.

1. A group of parents approach you regarding the malpractices of the school principal
and it so happened that you are not in good terms with your Principal due to some sort
of misunderstanding. What is your stand about the controversies? Are you going to
support the parents? What particular provision in Article V will you consider in your
action?

 I will help them to convey their issue to the proper authorities for the particular
controversies. I will consider the provision in Article V section 6, which a teacher
may submit to the proper authorities any justifiable criticism against an
associate, preferably in writing, without violating the right of the individual
concerned.

2. The school principal was made to submit a module on Science by the Division
Education Supervisor in Science. So she asked here good science teacher to write the
module. Upon completion she submitted the same to the division Office with her name
as the writer. Is the act of the principal ethical. Why?

 No, because he/she claimed the work of other person which is plagiarism.
Although teachers or even principal is allowed to collaborate with people in the
educational community but not on passing the work or letting others teacher do

service.

 I will not accept his/her offer because based provision on Article VIII Section 4, A

Parents are school stakeholders. A school can’t be successful in the implementation


of it programs and projects without the parents’ support. You are newly
assigned to your school now. The school has the history of not being
supported by the community in all its school activities because of the poor
school-parents relationship for the last 5 years due to the school principal who
was not giving importance to parents involvement in school projects. As the new
school principal how would you gain cordial relation with the parents?

 As a new school principal, I will encourage the parents of all students under the
school to attend any school event and meeting with their children. And give
rights to the parents about their complains suggestion with sympathy. And little
by little build and maintain cordial relations with parents, and shall conduct
himself to merit their confidence and respect.
