Linear Algebra

Probability Theory
This is an introductory course in probability covering axiomatic probability space, discrete
and continuous random variables, special distributions, mathematical expectation,

Advanced Calculus
Advanced Calculus I is the first of two courses that provides an introduction to
mathematical analysis beyond the calculus series. Topics include the real number
system, point set topology, limits and continuity, the derivatives, multivariable
differential calculus, implicit functions and extremum problems.
Modern Geometry
The first part of the course focuses on Euclidean and affine geometry on the plane.
The second half may continue with Euclidean geometry on the sphere; alternatively,
an introduction to finite geometries and to the non-Euclidean hyperbolic and elliptic
geometries may be given. This course interrelates and makes use of tools from

Reading Course in Mathematics
This is a research- based course in which students are expected to undertake an
investigation, develop learning materials or carry out other instructional activities to
validate/test theories related to teaching/ learning mathematics. Pre-requisite to
these tasks is having acquired grasp of the existing body of knowledge in the field of
mathematics education. It tackles current and critical issues in the field of
mathematics education and students are made to resolve and take position in these
issues. The contents for discussions and methodologies are flexible depending on the
students’ needs and interests but they generally encompass topics on curriculum,
teaching/ learning process, evaluation/ assessment and educational technology. The
students do investigate activities through case demonstration and analysis, field
observation and other research-related activities. Students are empowered to plan
and develop other activities where they could test small sample cases of research

Pamaraang Istatistical
Ang Kurso ay tungkol sa mga konsepto, teorya at paggamit ng angkop na istatistika sa
paglalahad, pagsusuri at interpretasyon ng datos at impormasyon upang magkaroon ng
kakayahan sa pamamahala ang mga propesyonal tungo sa panrehiyong pag - unlad.
Batayang Teoritikal ng Edukasyon
Ang Kurso ay tungkol sa mga konsepto, teorya at paggamit ng angkop na istatistika sa
paglalahad, pagsusuri at interpretasyon ng datos at impormasyon upang magkaroon ng
kakayahan sa pamamahala ang mga propesyonal tungo sa panrehiyong pag - unlad.
Introdukasyon sa Pag-aaral ng Wika
Mga konsepto at teorya ng metapisika, epistemolohiya, aksyolohiya at mga aplikasyon
nito sa pagsusuri na ibat- ibang pananaw sa edukasyon, epekto sa edukasyon ng mga
sosyal at cultural na salik. Pagtatalakay sa mga ideya ng mga pilipinong manunulat ukol
sa edukasyon. Tungkol sa sikolohiya, pilosopikal at biyolohiya na batayan ng edukasyon,
ang diin ay sa mag-aaral, pagkakaiba-iba ng indibidwal, katuhan at motibasyon, kritikal
na pag-aaral sa proseso ng edukasyon at mga prinsipyong sikolohokal.
Kayarian ng Filipino
Malawakang pag - aaral sa wikang Filipino sa pamamagitan ng mga praktikal na
kaalamang panlinggwistika, ponolohiya, morpolohiya, sintaksis at mga makabagong
kalakarang panwika.
Pagtuturo ng Wika at Panitikan
Ang kurso iinog sa pagkatuto ng wika at panitikan sa ibat - ibang antas ng edukasyon sa
pamamagitan ng paggamit ng mga makabagong teknolohiya. Pagpapakitang - turo ng
ibat - ibang paraan ng pagkatuto at paghahanda ng modelong banghay ng pagtuturo at
katipunan ng mga paraan ng pagtuturo ng wika at panitikan.

Malikhaing Pagsulat
Pagtalakay sa ibat- ibang uri ng panitikan at paraan ng sulat nito. Bibigyang - diin ang
tungkol sa pamamahayag sa Filipino. Output sa kursong ito ang isang dirnal ng mga sinulat
na ibat - ibang uri ng panitikan.
Panunuring Pampanitikan
Bibigyang diin ang kasaysayan ng panunuring pampanitikan, ang ibat ibang tanyag na
akda ng mga piling manunulat at ang mga prinsipyo at pilosopiya sa mga nabanggit na uri
ng panitikan. Pagtutuunan ng pansin ang makabagong paraan ng pamunuan.
Pagtuturo ng Pagbasa
Tutukuyin sa kursong ito ang mga kaalaman sa pagtuturo ng pagbasa, mga pamamaraan
sa pagtuturo ng pagbasa at pagtataya ng mga kasanayan sa pagbasa.
Mga Gawaing Pansining sa Filipino
Bibigyang diin ang ibat ibang masining na gawain sa Filipino tulad ng sabayang pagbigkas,
sining ng pagkwento, monologo, balagtasan, pagtatalumpati, madamdaming pagbasa at
iba pa. Pag-aaralan din ang pagtatanghal ng mga ito. Ang pokus ay sa makabagong paraan
ng ibat ibang anyo ng pagpapakahulugang pagbigkas.

Philosophies, Theories and Practices for Peace and Security
A comprehensive study of the different philosophies focused on the nature of man, free
will or determinism, rational and instinctive behavior, the meaning of progress and of
change the quality of human life and peace processes and initiatives. It is also an in-depth
and analytical study of the theories, principles and practice of peace and security from
the ancient to the present and the influences of socio-political thoughts of world leaders
of contemporary society for peace and security.
Military and Paramilitary Environment
Deals with the structure of the military as a Bureaucracy and its organizational behavior
as well as its relationships with broader environments it relates to the maintenance of
peace and security. This course will also cover studies on the role of civilian volunteers
serving in the military and the intricacies of active civilian involvement in military
operations especially of counterinsurgency measures and other forms of peacekeeping
operations.
Theory and Practice of Conflict Negotiation, Mediation and Resolution
This course deals with the study and critical analysis of the nature, causes and effects of
conflict. It looks into the proposition that conflict is a legitimate and essential part of the
social change and hence a positive energy to explore for social change. However, its
potential to generate into some violent outcome provides the impetus for conflict
resolution. The track 1, track ll, and track lll approaches are examined in light of recent
trends in conflict resolution.
National Peace and Security Administration in the Global Perspective
The models of national security administration as proposed by different theorist are
contained in this course. This course is carried out from the perspective of international
relations. Various contemporary themes and issues are included in the course as an
important basis for building contemporary national security administration in order to
prevent violence and achieve the desired community. The United Nation model is
included in subject matter of the course.
Trends, Issues and Problems on International Peace, Security and Disarmament
This deals on the Socio- Political and economic indicators of international peace and
security and the experiences of the international organizations in dealing of armaments
as approaches to international peace.
Church and State Relations
This deals with the different dimensions of church and state in building an environment

assist them in defining their mode of enquiry. Students will be introduced to a range of research

This course will equip students to apply biostatistical methods to their researches and gain the

Advanced Cell and Molecular Biology

topics covered. Topics include the structure and function of the cell: membranes, organelles and
