Introduction
Hello learners! Welcome to the exciting world of Science.
This module is designed for you to make your home-based learning, interesting and
meaningful as we care for your safety and well-being.
In this lesson, you should learn how the internal organs work together as one and why
is it important to know the parts and functions of each internal organ of the human body.
“Be honest, even if others are not, even if others will not, even if
others cannot” – St. Mother Teresa of Calcutta

Let’s Begin
Good day! Today we will discuss about the How the Lungs Work. To
begin with, let us watch a short video about Human Body Organs by Primary
Middle School education. Here is the link below:

on the left side of the chest and the other lung is on the right side of the chest.
Because they are soft, the lungs are protected by the ribcage.
The main function of the lungs is to combine oxygen with the blood and
to eliminate carbon dioxide. The gas that provides energy to the body is oxygen,
while the one that produces waste products or “exhaust” of the body is carbon
dioxide.
Your lungs are a pair of organs in your chest. They have a spongy texture
and are pinkish-gray in color.
When you inhale (breathe in), air enters your lungs and oxygen from the air
moves from your lungs to your blood. At the same time, carbon dioxide, a
waste gas, moves from your blood to the lungs and is exhaled (breathe out).
This process is called gas exchange and is essential to life.
Let’s Try It
Search 5 pictures of the different diseases of the lungs, and then describe how
it is being acquired and what medical treatment is advised to cure the disease.
Do it on a Microsoft Word (soft copy only) and send it in schoology.

Every part of our body is created by God. He created it with much love
and care. As children of God, we need to take care of it and use it well
accordingly.
After learning the lesson of Major Internal Organs of the body (lungs and
liver), what important values have you learned from this lesson that you think
will help you become a better child of God?
