Ranking Every Magic Kingdom Restaurant

1. Aloha Isle: This is where you’ll find Dole Whip creations in Magic Kingdom! They’ve also got
ice cream treats – like the 50th Anniversary Tropical Serenade (made of POG juice, Coconut
Soft-serve, and an Upside-down Pineapple Cake Pop) (Seriously, guys, this concoction is SO
good that we’ve deemed it our favorite Magic Kingdom 50th Anniversary snack to come out of
this celebration.

PROS
• Dole Whip paradise
• Unique and seasonal options keep things fresh
CONS
• Favorite options may not still be available when you return
• No savory snacks served here

OVERALL: 9/10

2. Auntie Gravity’s Galactic Goodies: This isn’t a counter service I’d call out-of-this-world
exciting. You’re gonna find pretty standard ice creams, shakes, and smoothies here – along with
the occasional way-more-exciting seasonal items (like the Adventure is Out There cone, the
Uncle Orville Great Big Beautiful Tomorrow Sundae, and the Pumpkin Spice Soft-Serve Sundae).

PROS
• Great for those looking for a treat with no extra “frills”
• Has fun seasonal items on occasion
CONS
• Not super-adventurous for the most part
• Seating is next to Tomorrowland Speedway (which can get rather loud)

OVERALL: 6/10

3. Be Our Guest Restaurant: This one is COMPLICATED. Originally Be Our Guest had a quick
service lunch along with a quick service breakfast and then table service for dinner. NOW Be
Our Guest has since been switched over from a quick service experience to a table service with
a prix-fixe menu. And those prix-fixe prices are STEEP. We’re talking $62 per adult and $37 per
kiddo for lunch and dinner. That’s ESPECIALLY pricey for a meal that’s, honestly, pretty
forgettable. Yes, the French Onion soup is WONDERFUL, and yes the filet mignon isn’t too
shabby. Even the dessert trio is a fun way to wrap up your big meal here.
Overall, the quality of food being served at Be Our Guest still feels very much like that quick
service quality. Nothing wrong with quick service quality…unless you’re paying a pretty penny
for it.

PROS
• Gorgeous castle atmosphere
• Rare Beast character sighting
• Delicious French Onion soup
CONS
• Quality of food is underwhelming for what you’re paying
• Prix-fixe prices force you to pay for more food than you may be wanting
• Reservations are hard to get. Make sure you make them 60 days before your visit

OVERALL: 7/10

4. Casey’s Corner: Casey’s Corner is THE baseball-themed hot dog quick service on Main Street
USA. And, folks, the options here really hit it out of the park. Casey’s likes to switch things up
with specialty hot dog offerings. You’ll also find the fan-favorite (and DFB favorite) Corn Dog
Nuggets here.

PROS
• Great for hot dog fans
• Good selection for picky and adventurous eaters alike
CONS
• Not a hot dog fan? Then this ain’t the place, fam
• This place can get PACKED with Casey’s Corner fans, so instead of winding up for a
pitch, you might be winding up for the crowds

OVERALL: 8/10

5. Cheshire Cafe: This inconspicuous counter service location can be really easy to pass up if
you’re trying to make your way from New Fantasyland and over to. The Cheshire Cat Tail is this
cafe’s signature item, and the pepper jack pretzel also likes to pop up here from time to time.

PROS
• Sweet and savory options
• Seasonal options also served here – so be on the lookout!
CONS
• Can be easy to overlook
• The item you’re wanting to order could sell out later in the day

OVERALL: 7.5/10
6. Cinderella’s Royal Table: This is a one-and-done for me. I feel like you SHOULD try it. You’re
gonna be dining in THE Cinderella Castle – the literal EMBLEM of the park. And it’s GORGEOUS.
But now that character meet and greets are limited and many of the immersive dining
experiences that brought this restaurant to life have been put to rest for now, it’s hard for me
to justify this experience as something more than a one-and-done restaurant. That being said,
it’s still super popular and you NEED to get up super early to book this one.

PROS
• Beautiful dining in THE Cinderella Castle
• Best for those who are looking for the ULTIMATE Disney-fied dining experience
• Breakfast available
CONS
• EXPENSIVE $$$ (especially for the limited experience)
• Hard to get a reservation for
• Options are good, but not exactly memorable

OVERALL: 7.5/10

7. Columbia Harbour House: Columbia Harbour House is a quick service restaurant located in
Liberty Square. Here, you’re going to find options like the $13.99 trio platter (that includes a
combo of fried shrimp, fish, and chicken strips) as well as hushpuppies and your choice of side.

PROS
• Best for surf-and-turf fans
• A lot of food at a good price
• Caters to picky and adventurous eaters alike
CONS
• Not a great variety for those who don’t like seafood
• Also, not a great variety for those looking for more plant-based options
• Not the classiest atmosphere. Book a reservation for a table/signature restaurant for
more of a fine-dining establishment

OVERALL: 9/10

8. Cool Ship: This spot is serving up churros and soft drinks. Check out the Cool Scanner next
door to get misted on hot days!

PROS
• Snacks and mist!
CONS
• Pretty basic
OVERALL: 5/10

9. Cosmic Ray’s Starlight Cafe: Cosmic Ray’s Starlight Cafe has pretty standard options – like
burgers, hot dogs, and chicken tenders – with the occasional adventurous meal thrown in the
mix depending on the time of year and current celebration. Sonny Eclipse is the star of the
show here.

PROS
• Great for picky eaters
• Seasonal items can be great for those looking for a different take on usually-average
fares.
• Sonny Eclipse
CONS
• Blah atmosphere
• Not the best selection of plant-based options
• The food is very average. Not terrible, but no “wow” factor here

OVERALL: 7/10

10. The Crystal Palace: Before the closures, The Crystal Palace was a breakfast, lunch, and
dinner buffet where you could meet the Hundred Acres Wood gang – like Rabbit, Tigger,
Eeyore. After the closures, The Crystal Palace reopened as a family style/a la carte table service
restaurant minus the character dining. And now, you’re getting WAY more food and options
now for that prix-fixe $39 price you’re paying. You can choose from options such as prime rib,
s'mores tarts, mac and cheese, seafood aplenty, salads.

PROS
• Best for those looking for a variety of options all at once
• Great for picky eaters
• A big meal that you can eat as much of as you’d like
CONS
• Buffet setting can be off-putting for some
• No character dining at this time
• Not great for those on a budget

OVERALL: 7/10

11. The Diamond Horseshoe: Don’t let this copycat menu fool you. Though the Diamond
Horseshoe over at Frontierland has almost identical offerings to what Liberty Tree Tavern has to
offer right now (they just call it the Saloon Feast instead of the Patriot’s Platter), this Old-West
Musical Hall restaurant is usually all about the barbecue.
The setting is charming and reminiscent of Disneyland’s Golden Horseshoe restaurant but, once
again, it’s just copying a restaurant look that existed before it. That being said, if for some
reason you find yourself needing a last-minute dining reservation, this table service is generally
available for booking. I can’t tell you how long The Diamond Horseshoe will keep mirroring
Liberty Tree Tavern’s menu, but – y’know – at least it has better offerings than it used to, even
if it’s only temporary?

PROS
• Menu similar (if not exactly the same) as Liberty Tree Tavern’s
• Fun old-west style dining room
• Last-minute reservations are generally available
CONS
• Menu change may be temporary
• Former menu is very “blah” in comparison to other BBQ offerings
• Copycat!

OVERALL: 6/10

12. The Friar’s Nook: The Friar’s Nook is a counter service location tucked into Fantasyland that
serves up a selection of tater tots (like Sausage and Gravy Tots, Creamy Bacon Macaroni &
Cheese Tots, and tots with straight-up plastic cheese sauce). It also has a few other savory
options in the mix, too – like hot dogs and bratwurst-based items.

PROS
• Tater tots fans will be pleased
• Affordable (and yummy) breakfast items
CONS
• Limited-to-no seating
• Not great for those looking for a quick dessert

OVERALL: 7/10

13. Gaston’s Tavern: Gaston’s Tavern is part of New Fantasyland and is… pretty hard to miss.
Just look for the giant bronze fountain shaped like Gaston. You go for the cinnamon roll with a
cup of extra icing or LeFou’s Brew. Also check for seasonal treats. AND the Grey Stuff Cupcake!

PROS
• A few good snacking options
• Great for those looking for a quick breakfast OR unique non-alcoholic beverage
CONS
• Not a whole lot of variety going on here
• Not a place to grab lunch/dinner
OVERALL: 7.5/10

14. Golden Oak Outpost: This counter service spot serves up a limited number of treats and
eats – like the Slue Foot Sue Fish sandwich and the fresh baked chocolate chunk cookies. It’s
also important to note that Golden Oak Outpost isn’t always open – so if you’re relying on it to
get your afternoon snack fix, make sure you’ve got a backup plan B and C just in case

PROS
• Menu is limited but effective
• Great for those who get overwhelmed by TOO many options
CONS
• Not always open
• Extremely limited outdoor seating

OVERALL: 6/10

15. Jungle Navigation Co. LTD Skipper Canteen: Skipper Canteen is a table service restaurant
themed around the classic Jungle Cruise attraction – which, in turn, connects to the whole
underground Society of Explorers and Adventurers storyline that quietly weaves itself
throughout the Disney parks worldwide. This spot has such INTERESTING including the Falls
Family Falafel (which is as fun to say as it is to look at), the Hardy Har Char Siu Pork (with a
sweet-tasting barbecue sauce glazed across the meat), and the Panna-Connie’s Congo Lime
Delight.

PROS
• Best for adventurous dining
• Fantastic theming that tells a story
• Fun selection of secret menu items
CONS
• Not the best for picky eaters
• Takes a chunk of time out of your day to experience
• No outdoor dining (in case you want to enjoy the lovely day!)

OVERALL: 9/10

16. Liberty Square Market: The Liberty Square Market is a snack cart mostly stocked with items
you can purchase outside the parks.

PROS
• Great for those who forgot to pack kiddo snacks in their park bag for the day and are
looking for a quick fix
CONS
• Not much else exciting going on here. Not the location you want to hit up if you’re
looking for unique snacks

OVERALL: 5/10

17. Liberty Tree Tavern: Liberty Tree Tavern is my FAVORITE restaurant to eat at in Magic
Kingdom. No joke. I could stop the video here and proclaim this place as the creme de la creme
of Magic Kingdom dining. (But I won’t because there ARE other restaurants out there that, I’m
aware, you may like more – especially if you’re not a fan of super-heavy meals like this one
always provides). The Patriot’s Platter serves Roast Turkey Breast, Pot Roast, and Oven-roasted
Pork with Mashed Potatoes, Seasonal Vegetables, Herb Stuffing, and House-made Macaroni &
Cheese. Comfort foods to the MAX. And let’s not forget about the Ooey Gooey Toffee Cake.

PROS
• A lot of food for to keep you full throughout the day
• Great for picky eaters
• Regularly available for last-minute reservations
CONS
• Not great for those who don’t want to eat a super-heavy meal on a hot park day
• No super-adventurous options here
• Takes time out of your park day to experience

OVERALL: 10/10

18. The Lunching Pad: You’re going to find your basic pretzel and hot dog options here – but
you’re ALSO going to find the beautiful and talented Cream Cheese Warm Stuffed Pretzel.

PROS
• A few surprisingly-unique savory options in the mix
• Canopied outdoor seating area
CONS
• Nearby stroller area here can get pretty congested
• Seating is limited – especially during rainstorms and peak meal times

OVERALL: 6/10

19. Main Street Bakery: The Main Street Bakery…is Starbucks. And a Starbucks location equals
what? Say it with me – REALLY long lines.
PROS
• Best for those needing a Starbies fix
• Seasonal bakery items served here
CONS
• Extremely long lines (especially in the morning)
• You CANNOT use Starbucks gift cards at this location

OVERALL: 5.5/10

20. Pecos Bill Tall Tale Inn and Cafe: This rather spacious quick service location serves a handful
of Southwest-Style dishes – like the Fajita Platter, Beef Nachos, and Veggie Rice Bowl. (There’s
also randomly a bacon cheeseburger here… in case you were that *one* person in your group
that wasn’t craving Mexican food, but you got outvoted by a landslide).

PROS
• Best for those looking for non-spicy Southwest-inspired options
• Big dining room = occupies many guests
• Lots of toppings to order!
CONS
• Not great for those looking for an authentic Mexican fare
• Also, not great for those looking for a fancy-schmancy dining experience
• Though the food is okay, sometimes we get items that are less than desirable (like
soggy nachos…)

OVERALL: 6/10

21. Pinocchio’s Village Haus: Pinocchio’s Village Haus… is mostly a miss. Mostly. I probably still
prefer the Pinocchio’s Village Haus flatbreads over those giant pillow-y pizzas that are served at
Pizzafari in Disney’s Animal Kingdom and PizzeRizzo in Disney’s Hollywood Studios. If you go
upstairs, you can watch the ‘it’s a small world’ boats floating along on “the happiest little
cruise” from down below.

PROS
• Good choice for picky eaters
• Gorgeous artwork and fun window-view of ‘it’s a small world’
• Cheap and quick mobile order option
CONS
• Pizza is mediocre
• Not great for those who aren’t craving a fast-food pizza
• Restaurant can get hectic and stressful during peak dining times
OVERALL: 6.5/10

22. Plaza Ice Cream Parlor: Once upon a time, this “vintage-style ice cream parlor” would be,
hands down, my favorite place to get a cold treat. And I still love it – I really do! But a lot of
those more unique creations it used to serve up – like the All-American Sundae and cookies and
cream ice cream sandwiches – aren’t featured on the menu anymore. Nowadays, Plaza Ice
Cream Parlor serves basic Edy’s-brand ice cream which is OK.
PROS
• Delicious Edy’s ice cream
• Great for those looking for an “Instagrammable” snack near the castle
CONS
• More limited menu than before
• Extremely limited outdoor seating

OVERALL: 7.5/10

23. The Plaza Restaurant: There aren’t a whole lot of options on this recently-revamped menu,
but the options that are there are all cozy American comfort foods – like meatloaf, chili, loaded
fries, and fried chicken. This is one of the more affordable – if not *the* most affordable – table
service location in the park.

PROS
• Tasty comfort foods (like Ma used to make)
• Charming and cozy
• Best for affordable table service locations
CONS
• Not a stand-out meal, but a good meal nonetheless
• Not the best for more adventurous eaters
• A little *too* cozy at times. (This place is rather small and can feel cramped when it’s
busy)

OVERALL: 8/10

24. Prince Eric’s Village Market: The only item that really stands out at this location currently is
the Mermaid Slush – which is made with Frozen Blue Raspberry and Frozen Green Apple slushy,
topped with Whipped Cream and a candy Mermaid Tail. This drink is SUPER sweet but can be a
fun afternoon drink for kiddos. You’ll also find pretzels, turkey legs, and jumbo pickles.

PROS
• Turkey legs
• Reliable place for a quick standard snack
CONS
• Turkey legs
• Easy to overlook

OVERALL: 5/10

25. Sleepy Hollow Refreshments: If you follow our DFB social media pages you’ll probably see
the Fresh Fruit Waffle from Sleepy Hollow show up quite frequently – what with its tantalizing
Strawberries, Bananas, Blueberries, and Chocolate-Hazelnut Spread-glory. Need something
more on the savory side of things? You can also try the Sweet-and-Spicy Chicken-Waffle
Sandwich.

PROS
• Tasty waffle sammies
• Also serves traditional theme park items – like funnel cakes and turkey legs
CONS
• Limited outdoor seating
• Select items are only served during certain parts of the day (i.e.: Fresh Fruit Waffles
served in the morning until 11AM, Sweet-and-Spicy Chicken-Waffle Sandwich served
after 11AM and on, turkey legs only served after 7 PM

OVERALL: 9/10

26. Storybook Treats: At this counter service location, you’ll see specialty ice creams and Dole
Whip flavors come and go. While recording this, Storybook Treats currently has the Seven
Dwarfs Specialty Cones, as well as the 50th Anniversary Snow White Cone – with lemon Dole
Whip in a blue cone and cutesy-little chocolate bow and birdie.

PROS
• Rotating list of specialty soft serves and Dole Whips
• Great for those looking for limited edition ice cream flavors
CONS
• No savory options available
• Not the location for dining – snacks only!

OVERALL: 7.5/10

27. Sunshine Tree Terrace: Sunshine Tree Terrace is one of two locations that serves up a
variety of Dole Whip and Dole Whip float options in Adventureland. (Including the lovely I Lava
You float with Fanta Strawberry Soda, Passion Fruit syrup, orange DOLE Whip, and Popping
Candy sprinkles). If you’re an Orange Bird fan, you’ll want to stop here. The Citrus Swirl could be
on the menu, and you’ll also find savory pot stickers here.
PROS
• Dole Whips EVERYWHERE!
• Savory pot stickers offered to counter the sweet
CONS
• Citrus Swirl is elusive
• Not great for those looking for a variety of savory treats

OVERALL: 8/10

28. Tomorrowland Terrace Restaurant: Tomorrowland Terrace is usually only open during
Magic Kingdom’s peak seasons (though nowadays peak season is feeling like EVERY season…
but that’s a topic for another day).

PROS
• Houses vagabond eats and sweets
• Best for those wanting to experience a Fireworks Desserts Party
CONS
• Rarely ever open
• Nothing unique served here (aside from the desserts during the parties)

OVERALL: 6/10

29. Tony’s Town Square Restaurant: This is a Lady and the Tramp-themed Italian table service –
which is why I want to LOVE this place! I LOVE Lady and the Tramp, and I LOVE Italian food! I’ve
found the pastas and salads I’ve ordered here in the past to be SO salty. This restaurant really is
lovely though. I adore all the different Lady and the Tramp essences around the dining room.
Plus, if you like a fairly simple Italian cuisine like you might find back home, then you and your
travel party might enjoy this place more than I do.

PROS
• Best for Lady and the Tramp fans
• Easy to get a reservation
CONS
• Expensive
• Pasta quality is substandard

OVERALL: 5.5/10

30. Tortuga Tavern: Tortuga Tavern is in Adventureland and has a pretty basic selection of
menu items.
PROS
• Good for those looking for something quick to eat before riding more rides
• Occasionally unique options
CONS
• Rarely ever open
• Usually items are pretty “meh”

OVERALL: 5/10

31. Westward Ho: This is a counter service location in Frontierland that serves up quick snacks
for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. It’s actually got some unique options here – like the Candied
Bacon Skewer and Wendell's Bear Claw (which is a traditional bear claw pastry dipped in
chocolate and dusted with crushed hazelnuts. You’ll also find corn dog nuggets here.

PROS
• Little kiosk, surprising variety
• Good alternative for Starbucks
CONS
• Very much a snack location; don’t plan to eat a big meal here or anything
• This is a take it and go location, not a sit and relax for a while location.

OVERALL: 7/10
