Education is fundamental to development and growth. The human mind
IMPORTANCE OF makes possible all development achievements, for countries to reap these IMPORTANCE OF
EDUCATION IN THE benefits fully, they need to unleash the potential of the human mind. And EDUCATION IN
DEVELOPMENT OF there is no better tool for doing so than education. In learning, education SUSTAINABLE
THE COUNTRY and development are both processes that creates a better equipped, DEVELOPMENT
skilled, knowledgeable citizenry. Education as the first step to
development happens inside the school under the supervision of teachers
or educators but in some circumstances, education do happen outside the
school premises, in real life situations. Nevertheless, education and
development are two-way processes of growth towards the betterment of
the society
EDUCATION IN DEVELOPMENT refers to growth or positive change. Every entity EDUCATION IN
PERSONALITY aspires to grow and develop, starting from an individual to the entire SOCIAL
DEVELOPMENT society. What comes very crucial to that is acquiring knowledge and skills DEVELOPMENT
to support development. Thus, EDUCATION is a significant factor that
complements and drives development at every level.

IMPORTANCE IN EDUCATION AND DEVELOPMENT

COMPETENCY-BASED EDUCATION THEORY


Requires that teachers personalize learning opportunities to meet the needs of diverse student groups. Individualized and differentiated instruction are the common
ways to provide personalized instruction in mixed ability groupings. Competency based education not only focuses on the learners but to the teacher as well. The
department must field competent teachers to achieve having competent learners who in turn would fill up the ranks in the department or in any learning institutions
someday.
CONSTRUCTIVIST THEORY IN TEACHING
Is based on the belief that learning occurs as learners are actively involved in a process of meaning and knowledge construction rather than passively receiving
information. Learners are the makers of meaning and knowledge. Constructivist teaching fosters critical thinking and creates motivated and independent learners.
Constructivist learning helps the students to develop their own positive personality through exploring their own potentials, strength, and creativity.

SOCIAL LEARNING THEORY


Is the idea that children (students) learn from observing others. Social learning theory plays a big role in how all people and especially children learn. The
importance of Social Learning Theory unveils new ways of teaching such as observing how children copy behavior, identification, and implementing this learning-
by-doing strategy. Learners are keen to follow anything in the society that is why schools must be a staging ground for positive things to observe and follow for
them to become agents of sustainable development.
