User Guide

MSRTC GIS system is a user friendly tool designed to capture, analyze &
display all type of data in a geographical form.
This system is developed by Riddhi Management Services Pvt. Ltd., Kolkata &
Statistical Department MSRTC to bring out the thematic presentation of MSRTC.
For information of viewers, list of establishments i.e. Bus depot, Bus terminus,
Division Office, Division Workshop, Region office, Central Workshop, Central
Training Institute, Tyre Retreading Plant & Central Office are provided with
customized filters.
Using GIS technology all these establishments are pin up on the map of
Maharashtra, to give geographical view at a glance.
Following tabs are on the home page of MSRTC GIS.

Steps to use GIS & MSRTC Directory
(A) GIS:
1) Click on GIS tab.
2) If unable to view map download appropriate "JRE i.e. Java" on your
computer. Link of JRE is given at bottom of the home page.
3) From available option click on "WhizMap".
4) To view WhizMap of Maharashtra click on " State Maharashtra "
5) To view WhizMap of Region click on desired Region.
6) WhizMap, for State or for Regions will be open in new tab.
7) In "Layers" Tab, click the check box for viewing MSRTC establishment.
8) For division name abbreviation, refer division code abbreviation.

(B) MSRTC Directory:


To locate MSRTC establishment on Google map following steps are required to
be carried out.
1. Click on MSRTC directory
2. From available option click on "Filtered by" tab. Three options will be available
a) All data b) Location type c) Division.
3. "All data" option is by default.
4. After selecting "Location Type" option, click on desired establishment.
5. After filtering data by "Division", "Select Division" & "Select Location Type"
pop-up menu will appear to choose desired establishment.
6. To view location of the establishment click on "Location Name" of desired
establishment. View of that establishment will be available on Google map and
Google Satellite map.
7. In each filter, establishments are sorted on the name of Division in which it
belongs to.
8. Other places are those places where MSRTC provides extra services on
account of fair.
