Vlad ROSU I first heard of the KOALA International Competition in 2019 from my
1st Place | A2 level English teacher, who encouraged me to compete. I was skeptical at
at the International Stage first, but after thinking it through I decided to join.
KGL Contest Global Winner
A couple of months later I got the results from the national stage,
and to my surprise I won first place. Unfortunately, this was just
before the pandemic broke out, and so the international stage had
to be postponed for the time being. Of course, I was disappointed at
first, but I knew that there was nothing that could be done to
address that. Just when I was about to give up, I received an email
explaining how the international stage would take place at
Bucharest at the EECentre in Bucharest.
I would recommend this contest to any kid who likes the English
language and who is competitive, because it is a competition at the
end of the day. One piece of advice I would like to give to potential
competitors is that you need to be ready for anything and that you
should not underestimate the difficulty of this contest.
I most definitely will compete again, for as long as I’ll be able to. This
competition is a truly unique and entertaining experience. Plus, the
prizes are attractive too, which is always a good motivation.

In septembrie am calatorit fericita la Bucuresti ca pot
participa la o competitie internationala si nu raman
doar cu statusul de "calificata". Din fericire, am si
obtinut un rezultat bun in topul mondial: locul 3 la
nivel B2; care ma va ajuta mult pe viitor, iar medalia
primita o asociez concursului KOALA, care m-a scos
din monotonia academica a pandemiei.
Multumesc tuturor celor care au organizat KOALA by
KGL Competition, de la prima la ultima etapa.
Fiind in clasa a-XII-a, drumul meu cu Koala se incheie
aici - un final fericit - dar incurajez pe oricine sa ia parte
la aceasta frumoasa competitie de engleza!

Colegiul Național participării la ceva incredibil de frumos prin
„Iancu de Hunedoara” intermediul pasiunii comune pe care o avem pentru

Din cei 40 elevi pasionați de engleză din partea
Colegiului, s-a remarcat pana in finala internationala:
Cătălina Cumpănașu, căreia îî sunt profesoară de 8
ani.
Din fericire, după ultima etapă organizată la EECentre
București, în septembrie 2021, performera noastră a
obținut locul 3 pentru nivelul B2, la nivel global.
Suntem bucuroase de această aventură a cunoașterii
oferită de EECentre.
Sper să am în continuare elevi la fel de buni și
entuziaști pentru concursul KOALA by KGL, doritori de
performanțe la limba engleză,
deoarece: It’s cool to be Koala!

3rd Place at the International Stage KOALA a fost o experiență unică; iar subiectele au fost
KGL Contest Global Winner concepute astfel încât să evalueze nu doar cunoștințe
JUNE 2019, Novi Sad | Serbia lingvistice pure, ci și gândirea critică, o aptitudine-
cheie pentru epoca actuala.
Lucrul pe care l-am apreciat cel mai mult și pentru
care le mulțumesc în mod special celor de la EECentre
a fost: organizarea de excepție prin transparența de
care au dat dovadă și, mai ales, oferirea de condiții
egale fiecarui candidat.
Experiența participarii la faza internaționala de la
NOVI SAD (Serbia) a fost incredibilă: am avut ocazia să
cunosc elevi din 23 de țări, m-am apropiat de cultura
lor și de modul în care aceștia învață.
Totuși, cred că sentimentul cel mai frumos,
înălțător aș spune ca a fost acela de a
putea să îmi reprezint tara cu demnitate,
purtând drapelul pe umeri (la propriu) la
ceremonia de premiere, dupa obținerea
locului al III-lea.
