Whats crackin,

Lets talk about the holy grail of email copy.

Or at least thats what some people would have you believe.

So lets answer the big question.

Are subject lines the most important part of an email?

Yes and no.

It really depends on your list and the market.

However our goal, and the goal of email copy in general, is to make the subject
line obsolete. We want people to love our emails SO much that they dont care what
the subject line is. When they your name in the from line they just open no
matter what.

Thats the point of this course. To make your copy so damn kick ass that people
cant wait to get your emails and open all of them like its christmas bloody
morning.

That being said, the ability to write impossible to resist subject lines is a skill
that stands the test of time. And for some markets and lists its a critical
factor.

For example, over the past year and a half Ive been writing to a list of over a
million people at least 4 times a week. Its in a small section of personal finance
niche which only has so much you can say.

At some point you have to transition to a more personal finance topics. In which
case some stuff will apply to certain people on the list and some of it wont.

As a general rule, the more mass market your niche is, the more important subject
lines become. Thats because you are writing to a broad range of people and they
arent going to be interested in everything you to say.

Whereas a hyper-focused niche, like email marketing, people can be interested in

everything you have to say because the focus in narrow.

Which is why youre opening and clicking all my emails. You are opening and
clicking all of them right? RIGHT?

Sorry, I got insecure for a minute. Okay, I want to get to the lesson so Im gonna
stop here.

I know I said Id share some mind blowing stats today but its gonna have to wait
tomorrow so we can get this show on the road. And I promise Im not over-hyping the
stats or doing this an open loop strategy. (Well talk about open loops in a later
email)

Okay, below is a list of some great subject lines.

Tomorrow were gonna go over the most important and profitable subject line type.
Its the key to kicking serious ass with your subject lines.

Alrighty, pop out your pen and paper and set that timer for 25 minutes.

If any great subject lines for your market come to your mind while doing this then
write them down and put a little star next to it on your paper and come back to
afterwards and bang out an email about it.

What youll realize is that a good subject line can give you an idea for a whole
email. And Im holding the good shit for tomorrow when Ill unveil the ultimate
subject line formula that beats the pants off of everything else almost every
single time.
Tomorrow you'll copy some of my subject lines that follow my ultimate formula and
I'll add in some others.

Till tomorrow,
