Harz University of Applied Sciences is well known for its friendly atmosphere and park-like campus paired with the charm of a beautiful,
medieval town. Harz University of Applied Sciences in situated in Saxony-Anhalt close to the Harz mountains range – in the very centre of
Germany. Both campuses — Wernigerode and Halberstadt — inspire with a wealth of natural landscapes, history, and architecture. The

favourite place for hikers and bikers – and for sledging in the snow-white winter season. Wernigerode is very famous for its colourful half-
timbered houses, the medieval town hall, and the romantic castle up the hill. Wernigerode combines the advantages of a small town with a
central geographical situation: You can live in a comfortable and familiar environment, and reach major cities like Magdeburg, Brunswick,
Berlin, Leipzig, or Hanover within one to three hours by train or car.
