BALANCE AND WOMEN CANDIDATES ARE ENCOURAGED TO APPLY.

The CRPF will conduct an open competitive examination for


recruitment of Indian citizens against vacancies prescribed for Male and
Female candidates who are ordinarily residents of their respective States/UTs
to fill up the vacancies of Constable (Technical & Tradesmen) in Central
Reserve Police Force as per the Recruitment Scheme/Rules formulated by the
Ministry of Home Affairs.

2. The recruitment process will consist of Computer Based Test,


Physical Standards Test (PST), Physical Efficiency Test (PET), Trade Test,
Document Verification, Medical Examination. The salient features of the
recruitment are as under :

2.1 Applications will be accepted ONLINE only. Hence, candidates are


required to apply only online. No other mode for submission of
application is allowed.

2.2 Recruitment will be conducted on domicile based pattern.

2.3 Computer Based Test will be conducted in English and Hindi.

2.4 Computer Based Test/Physical Standard Test (PST)/Physical


Efficiency Test (PET) / Trade Test / Document Verification /
Detailed Medical Examination (DME)/Review Medical Examination
(RME) will be scheduled and conducted by the CRPF.
2.5 Collection of required eligibility certificates/documents from the

candidates and their verification will be carried out at the time of


Detailed Medical Examination (DME) by the CRPF.

2.6 Category wise vacancies of Constable (Technical/Tradesmen) will


be filled as per the vacancies available in various States/UTs. Final
selection will be made on the basis of marks obtained in CBT.

2.7 Final result will be declared by the CRPF based on the performance
of candidates in the CBT subject to their qualifying the PST/PET/
Trade test/Medical examination and other conditions stipulated in
the Recruitment Notice.

2.8 Admit card for any stage of examination will not be sent by post.
Facility for download of admit cards will be provided at the website
of CRPF http://www.crpf.gov.in. Candidates are advised to
regularly visit the website of the CRPF for the updates on
examination schedule and download Admit Cards for each stage of
examination.
2.9 The candidates should bring two coloured print out of admit card
at the time of each stage of examination. One copy of admit card
will be handed over at the examination centre.

4(A) VACANCIES FOR PIONEER WING:


11 (Male) vacancies of Constable(Pioneer) to be filled through Constable
(Technical/Tradesmen) Recruitment 2023. These vacancies to be filled on

4(A).1 10% vacancies are earmarked for Ex-servicemen (ESM). If suitable


ESM candidates are not available, vacancies reserved for ESM will
be filled by non-ESM candidates of respective category.
4(A).2 As the vacancies in CRPF have been earmarked State/UT-wise,
candidates are required to submit Domicile/Permanent Residence
Certificate of the State/UT indicated by them in the online
Application Form at the time of Documents verification/DME
failing which his/her candidature will be cancelled forthwith and
the candidate will not be allowed to appear in the Detailed Medical
Examination. If a candidate produces Domicile/Permanent
Resident Certificate (PRC) issued by a State/UT other than
mentioned in his/her application, he/she shall not be allowed to
change the State at the time of Document Verification and his/her
candidature shall be cancelled straightway. Therefore, candidates
should fill the application form very carefully.
4(A).3 The vacancies are tentative. Any change in the number of
vacancies will be intimated through the website of the CRPF.

4(A).4 Vacancies mentioned at para 4(A) are on all India basis and any
candidate of any State/UT may apply for the said posts/trades.
Separate merit list on all India basis will be prepared for these
posts/trades.
4(A).5 Candidates selected for appointment are liable to serve anywhere
in India.

5. NATIONALITY/CITIZENSHIP:
Candidates must be a citizen of India. Vacancies are State/UT wise,
hence, a candidate must submit domicile/PRC against his/her State/UT.

6. Age Limit:
6.1 Constable(Driver):21-27 years as on 01/08/2023. Candidates
should not have been born earlier than 02/08/1996 and later than
01/08/2002.
6.2 Constable (MMV/Cobbler/ Carpenter/ Tailor/Brass Band/Pipe
Band/ Bugler/ Gardner/ Painter/Cook/Water Carrier /
Washerman/Barber/SafaiKaramchari/Mason/Plumber/
Electrician: 18-23 years as on 01/08/2023. Candidates should not
have been born earlier than 02/08/2000 and later than
01/08/2005.
6.3 Permissible relaxations in upper age limit for different categories
are as under :

Note-1:- The above mentioned posts are not identified suitable


for any category of persons with disabilities/PWD i.e. HH, OH,
VH or Autism. Hence, they NEED NOT apply.

6.4 Name and date of birth filled by the candidate in the online
application form and the same recorded in the Matriculation/
Secondary Examination Certificate will be accepted by the CRPF for
determining the age and no subsequent request for change will be
considered or granted.

6.5 Ex-Servicemen (ESM) who have already secured employment in civil


side under Government on regular basis after availing of the
benefits of reservation given to ex-servicemen for their re-
employment are not eligible for reservation in ESM category and fee
concession. However, he can avail the benefit of reservation as Ex-
servicemen for subsequent employment if he immediately after
joining civil employment, has given self declaration/ undertaking to
the concerned employer about the date-wise details of applications
for various vacancies for which he had applied for before joining the
initial civil employment as mentioned in the OM No. 36034/1/
2014-Estt(Res) dated 14th August 2014 issued by DoP&T.
6.6 The period of “Call up Service” of an Ex-serviceman in the Armed
Forces shall also be treated as service rendered in the Armed Forces
for the purpose of age relaxation.
6.7 For any serviceman of the three Armed Forces of the Union to be
treated as Ex-serviceman for the purpose of securing the benefits of
reservation, he must have already acquired at the relevant time of
submitting his application for the Post/Service, the status of ex-
serviceman or is in a position to establish his acquired entitlement
by documentary evidence from the competent authority that he
would complete specified term of engagement with the Armed
Forces within the stipulated period of one year from the closing date
of receipt of applications. The decision on the issue of eligibility of
ex-servicemen shall be governed by the decision taken by the
DoP&T on the judgment of Hon’ble Delhi High Court in Writ Petition
© No. 520/2020 dated 01/12/2020.

6.8 Explanation: An ‘ex-serviceman’ means a person:

6.8.1 Who has served in any rank whether as a combatant or non-


combatant in the Regular Army, Navy or Air Force of the India
union, and

a) Who either has been retired or relieved or discharged from


such service whether at his own request or being relieved by
the employer after earning his or her pension; or

b) Who has been relieved from such service on medical grounds


attributable to military service or circumstances beyond his
control and awarded medical or other disability pension; or
c) Who has been released from such service as a result of
reduction in establishment;

or
6.8.2 Who has been released from such service after completing the
specific period of engagement, otherwise than at his own
request, or by way of dismissal, or discharge on account of
misconduct or inefficiency and has been given a gratuity; and
includes personnel of the Territorial Army, namely, pension
holders for continuous embodied service or broken spells of
qualifying service;
Or

6.8.3 Personnel of the Army Postal Service who are part of Regular
Army and retired from the Army Postal Service without
reversion to their parent service with pension, or are released
from the Army Postal service on medical grounds attributable
to or aggravated by military service or circumstance beyond
their control and awarded medical or other disability pension;

Or

6.8.4 Personnel, who were on deputation in Army Postal Service for


more than six months prior to the 14th April, 1987;

Or

6.8.5 Gallantry award winners of the Armed Forces including


personnel of Territorial Army.

Or

6.8.6 Ex-recruits boarded out or relieved on medical ground and


granted medical disability pension.

6.9.1 The persons serving in the Armed Forces of the Union, who
on retirement from service, would come under the category
of ex-serviceman will be permitted to apply for re-
employment one year before the completion of the specified
term of engagement and avail themselves of all concessions
available to ex-serviceman but shall not be permitted to
leave the uniform until they complete the specified term of
engagement in the Armed Forces of the Union.

6.9.2 Age concession/reservation is not admissible to sons,


daughters and dependents of ex-servicemen. Therefore,
such candidates should not indicate their category as ex-
servicemen.

6.10.1 Children means:


Son (including adopted son) or
Daughter (including adopted daughter)

6.10.2 Dependent family member means:


spouse or
children or
Brother or sister in the case of unmarried victim who
was wholly dependent on that victim at the time of his
getting killed in the riots would be eligible. In order to be
eligible for upper age relaxation in the category of
SC/ST and OBC, the applicant should produce a
certificate to that effect from the concerned District
Collector/District Magistrate wherein the victim was
killed.

7 Process of Certification and format of Certificates:

7.1 Candidates who wish to be considered against vacancies reserved


or seek age-relaxation are required to submit requisite certificate
from the competent authority in the prescribed format when such
certificate are sought by CRPF for document verification at the
time of DME. Otherwise, their claim for SC/ST/OBC/EWS
category will not be entertained and their candidature/
applications will be considered under un-reserved (UR) category.
Further if a candidate has sought any other age-relaxation or
claimed ESM status and is not able to produce the relevant
certificate, he will be considered in his respective category i.e.,

SC/ST/OBC/EWS/UR. The formats of the certificates are


annexed with the Notice of examination. Certificates in any other
format will not be accepted.
7.2 A candidate belonging to a caste of SC, ST or OBC category, on
migration from one State to another State will have to make an
informed choice whether to get the benefit of reservation in the
State of origin or to appear as unreserved candidate from the State
of migration. Such choice will have to be exercised by the candidate
in the online application form. No request for change of such
option, after the submission of application form, will be entertained
by the CRPF. In case, a candidate opts to avail the benefit of
reservation from the State of origin, he will have to submit
information about the State of his origin as well as the State of his
current domicile in the Application Form and his candidature will
be considered from the State of origin.
7.3 Crucial date for claiming SC/ ST/ OBC/ EWS status will be the
closing date for receipt of online applications.
7.4 A person seeking appointment on the basis of reservation to
OBCs must ensure that he/she possesses the caste/ community
certificate and does not fall in creamy layer on the crucial date.
The crucial date for this purpose will be the closing date for
receipt of application.
7.5 Candidates may also note that in respect of the above, their
candidature will remain provisional till the veracity of the
concerned document is verified by the Appointing Authority.
Candidates are cautioned that they will be debarred from the
examination in case they fraudulently claim SC/ ST/ OBC/
EWS/ ESM status or avail any other benefit.
7.6 Candidates will be considered for recruitment in their respective
State/UT on production of valid “Domicile/Permanent Residential
Certificate (PRC)” issued by the competent authority so
authorized by the concerned State/UT to prove their domiciliary
status at the time of document verification failing which his
candidature will be cancelled forthwith. The Domicile/PRC
certificate must be of the State/UT indicated by the candidates in
their online application form, failing which, their candidature will
be cancelled forthwith.
7.7 Since the State of Assam is not issuing Domicile Certificate/
Permanent Residence Certificate, candidates belonging to the
State of Assam are not required to submit the same. However,
their selection will be subject to verification of residential status
from the concerned District Authorities.

8. Educational Qualifications (as on 01/08/2023)

8.1 Educational / Professional qualification of each trade/post is


as under :

8.2 The candidates who have not acquired the essential educational
qualification as on the stipulated date will not be eligible and
need not apply.
8.3 As per Ministry of Human Resource Development Notification
dated 10/06/2015 published in the Gazette of India all the
degrees/ diplomas/ certificates awarded through Open and
Distance Learning mode of education by the Universities
established by an Act of Parliament or State Legislature,
Institutions Deemed to be Universities under Section 3 of the
University Grants Commission Act, 1956 and Institutions of
National Importance declared under an Act of Parliament stand
automatically recognized for the purpose of employment to posts
and services under the Central Government provided they have
been approved by the Distance Education Bureau, University
Grants Commission. Accordingly, unless such degrees are
recognized for the relevant period when the candidates acquired
the qualification, they will not be accepted for the purpose of
Educational Qualification.
8.4 All the candidates who are called for document verification will be
required to produce the relevant Certificates such as Mark sheets,
Provisional Certificate etc for completion of Matriculation in
original as proof of having acquired the minimum educational
qualification on or before the cut off date, failing which the
candidature of such candidates will be cancelled. The candidates
who are able to prove, by documentary evidence, that the result
of the qualifying examination was declared on or before the cut off
date and he/she has been declared pass, will also be considered
to meet the educational qualification. It is reiterated that the
result of requisite educational qualification must have been
declared by the Board/Institute/University by the specified date.
Mere processing of the result by the Board/University/ Institute
by the cutoff date does not fulfill the EQ requirement.
9. How to apply/Steps to apply:

9.1 Applications must be submitted in ONLINE mode at the official


website of the CRPF. For detailed instructions for submission of
online application, please refer to Annexure-I of this
advertisement.

9.2 Candidates can apply for the post/trade provided they fulfill the
prescribed eligibility conditions.
9.3 The application portal will be operational from 27/03/2023 to
25/03/2023.
9.4 Candidates are advised in their own interest to submit online
applications much before the closing date and not to wait till the
last date to avoid the possibility of disconnection/inability or
failure to login to the CRPF website on account of heavy load on
the website during the closing days.
9.5 The CRPF will not be responsible for the candidates not being
able to submit their applications within the last date on account
of the aforesaid reasons or for any other reason beyond the
control of the CRPF.
9.6 Before submission of the online application, candidates must
check that they have filled correct details in each field of the form.
After submission of the online application form, no change/
correction/modification will be allowed under any circumstances.
Requests received in this regard in any form like Post, Fax, Email,
by hand, etc shall not be entertained.
10. Application Fee:

Examination Fees @ Rs 100/- for male candidates of General, EWS and


OBC only. Candidates belonging to SC/ST, Female (all categories)
candidates & Ex-servicemen are exempted.
10.1 Fee can be paid online through BHIM UPI, Net Banking, by using
Visa, Master card, Maestro, RuPay Credit, or Debit cards.
10.2 Applications received without the prescribed fee shall not be
considered and summarily rejected. No representation against
such rejection will be entertained. Fee once paid shall not be
refunded under any circumstances nor will it be adjusted
against any other examination or selection.
10.3 Candidates who are not exempted from fee payment must
ensure that their fee has been deposited. If the fee is not
received by CRPF, status of Application Form is shown as
‘Incomplete’ and this information is printed on the top of the
Application Form printout. Further, status of fee payment can
be verified at the “Payment Status” link provided in the
candidate’s login screen. Such applications which remain
incomplete due to non-receipt of fee will be SUMMARILY
REJECTED and no request for consideration of such
applications and fee payment after the period specified in the
Notice of Examination shall be entertained.

should carefully decide about his/her choice of city of
examination.

examination cities opted by him/her.

city, the candidates may be shifted to a nearby city.
e) Above examination centre are only for CBT. Examination centre

12. Scheme of Examination: (For CT(Technical/Tradesmen) &


CT(Pioneer)
12.1 Computer Based Test: The Computer Based Test will consist of
one objective type paper containing 100 questions carrying 100
marks, with the following composition:

12.1.1 All questions will be of Objective Multiple Choice Type. The


CBT will be conducted in English and Hindi only.
12.1.2 There will be negative marking of 0.25 marks for each wrong
answer. Candidates are, therefore, advised to keep this in
mind while answering the questions.
12.1.3 The date & Centre of CBT will be informed to candidates via
Admit Card only through the website of the CRPF.
12.1.4 There shall be no provision for re-evaluation/re-checking of
the scores. No correspondence in this regard shall be
entertained.
12.1.5 Marks scored by candidates in CBT will be normalized and
such normalized scores will be used to determine final merit
and cut off marks.
12.1.6 The questions in the CBT will be of Matriculation level.
12.1.7 A mock test link will be available in Candidates corner on
CRPF website to familiarize the candidates with CBT, after the
go-live of the Admit card.
12.1.8 Candidates are not permitted to use calculators and other
electronic gadgets. They should not, therefore, bring the same
inside the Examination Hall.
12.1.9 The syllabus for the Examination will be as follows:

12.1.9.1 General Intelligence and Reasoning: Analytical aptitude


and ability to observe and distinguish patterns will be tested
through questions principally of non-verbal type. This

component may include questions on analogies, similarities


and differences, spatial visualization, spatial orientation,
visual memory, discrimination, observation, relationship
concepts, arithmetical reasoning and figural classification,
arithmetic number series, non-verbal series, coding and
decoding etc.
12.1.9.2 General Knowledge and General Awareness: Question in
this component will be aimed at testing the candidate’s
general awareness of the environment around him. Questions
will also be designed to test knowledge of current events and
of such matters of every day observations and experience in
their scientific aspect as may be expected of any educated
person. The test will also include questions relating to India
and its neighboring countries especially pertaining to sports,
History, Culture, Geography, Economic Science, General
Policy, Indian Constitution, Scientific Research etc. These
questions will be such that they do not require a special
study of any discipline.
12.1.9.3 Elementary Mathematics: This paper will include questions
on problems relating to Number Systems, Computation of
whole numbers, Decimals and Fractions and relationship
between numbers, Fundamental arithmetical operations,
Percentages, Ratio and Proportion, Averages, Interest, Profit
and loss, Discount, Mensuration, Time and Distance, Ratio
and Time, Time and work etc.
12.1.9.4 English/Hindi: Candidate’s ability to understand basic
English/Hindi and his/her basic comprehension would be
tested.
12.2 Physical Standard Test (PST) : Candidates shortlisted for
PST will be asked to go through biometric verification followed
by PET/Trade Test. Physical Standards for the post of

12.2.1.6 Chest measurement for female candidates will not be


taken.

12.3 Only those candidates who qualify in CBT shall be called for
next stage of recruitment i.e. PST/PET /Trade Test & Document
Verification which will be conducted at various centres of the
CRPF. Detailed scrutiny of candidate’s eligibility/documents will
be undertaken at the time of Detailed Medical Examination
(DME). Therefore, it will be the responsibility of the candidates
to verify their eligibility as prescribed in this Notice from time to
time before appearing for CBT/PST/PET/Trade test. Candidates
shortlisted for PST / PET will be asked to go through biometric
verification followed by PST/PET/Trade Test. The PST shall
include measurement of height, weight & chest (as applicable).
12.3.1 Ex-servicemen who are shortlisted in the Computer Based
Test for PST/PET will have to appear in PST/PET for
recording measurement of height, chest and weight only.
There is total relaxation in PST/PET for these Ex-serviceman.
PET will not be held for these Ex-servicemen candidates.
However, they will have to qualify the Trade test and
medical examination.

12.4 Physical Efficiency Test (PET): Candidates have to clear the

12.4.1 A woman candidate, who as a result of tests is found to
be pregnant, irrespective of duration of pregnancy, she
may be declared temporarily unfit and her appointment
held in abeyance until the confinement is over. The
vacancy against which a woman candidate was selected
should be kept reserved for her. She should be re-
examined for physical efficiency test (PET) six weeks
after the date of confinement, subject to the production
of the medical certificate of fitness from a registered
medical practitioner. If she is found fit and finds place
in the normal merit of respective category, she may be
appointed to the post kept reserved for and allow the
benefit of seniority in accordance with the instructions
of the government, as amended from time to time.
12.4.2 Candidates, who do not qualify the race, would be
eliminated from the recruitment process by giving
rejection slip intimating reasons thereof by the Presiding
Officer of the board.
12.4.3 Preliminary checking of documents of the candidates
who qualified in PST/PET, seeking relaxation in
Height/Chest/Weight etc will also be conducted at this
Stage. Candidates are advised to carry their relevant
documents in support of their claim.
12.4.4 The candidates must carry at least one photo bearing -
identification proof such as Driving License, Voter Card,
Aadhaar Card, Identity Card issued by University
/College, Income Tax PAN Card in original.

12.5 Weight: Proportionate to height and age as per medical


standards.

12.6 Scrutiny of eligibility of candidates for relaxations i.e.


height and chest measurement will be carried out
during PST. PET (race) will be conducted in respect of
only those candidates who qualify the PST stage.
Relaxation in height and chest (as the case may be) as
mentioned above for the candidates other than those
belonging to ST category will be permissible only on
production of certificate at the time of PST in the
proforma as prescribed in Annexure-VI from the
competent authority. ST candidates may avail the
relaxation on the production of valid ST certificate.

12.7 The candidates who are declared not qualified in


physical Standards i.e. height and chest may prefer an
appeal on same day, if they so desire, to the Appellate
Authority nominated for the Centre through Presiding
Officer (PO). The decision of the Appellate Authority will
be final and no further appeal or representation
thereafter in this regard will be entertained. There is no
appeal in PET (race).

12.8 Trade Test :

12.8.1 Candidates will be shortlisted for Trade Test from the


pool of candidates who qualify in CBT, PST and PET.
12.8.2 Trade test, will be conducted through practical
assessment and will be qualifying in nature. Out of 50
marks for practical Trade Test, a candidate must secure
20 marks to qualify.
12.8.3 During Trade test, a candidate will be asked to perform
any activity pertaining to that particular trade/post for
which he/she has appeared/applied. The parameters
for each trade/post will be as under:-
i Driver Knowledge of driving trade. Handling, driving,
parking & maintenance of light & heavy
vehicles etc.
ii Fitter Knowledge in automobiles fitter/motor
mechanic trade. Handling of tools, etc.

12.9 Document Verification:- Candidates will be shortlisted for


Document Verification from the pool of candidates who qualify
in CBT, PST/PET and Trade test.
12.9.1 The candidates are advised to carry original documents
along with self attested photocopies of the same with them
at the time of reporting at Recruitment Centre. At the time
of Document verification, following documents will be
physically verified:-

12.9.1.1 Matriculation/Secondary Examination Certificate to


prove age, name and educational qualification.

12.9.1.2 Domicile Certificate/Permanent Resident Certificate


(PRC) issued by the competent authority.

12.9.1.3 Certificate from serving defence personnel in the format


prescribed in Annexure-II of the Notice.

12.9.1.4 Undertaking in the format prescribed in Annexure-III


from Ex-servicemen candidates.

12.7.1.5 Caste Certificate (as applicable) in the format prescribed


at Annexure-IV, Annexure-V and Annexure-VII of the
Notice from the candidates seeking reservation/age
relaxation.

12.9.1.6 Certificate from candidates who wish to avail relaxation


in height/chest measurement as prescribed in
Annexure-VI of the Notice.

12.9.1.7 Certificate from District Collector/District Magistrate in


respect of dependent applicants of riot victims as
mentioned in category serial No. 04/05/06 under para
6.3 of the Notice.

12.9.1.8 Driving license of candidates who have applied for the


post of CT/Driver.

12.9.1.9 ITI Certificate/experience certificate of candidates who


have applied for the post of CT/MMV (Fitter).

12.9.2 Detailed Medical Examination (DME)

12.9.2.1 The shortlisted candidates will be medically examined


by the Medical Officer/Medical Board constituted by
the CRPF to assess their physical and medical fitness.
The medical examination of the candidates will be
conducted in terms of Uniform Guidelines for
recruitment, medical examination for GOs and NGOs in
CAPFs and AR issued vide MHA UO No. A.VI-1/2014-
Rectt(SSB) dated 20/05/2015 and MHA OM No.
E.32012/ADG(Med)/DME/RME/DA-1/2020 (Part file)/
1166 dated 31/05/2021 and as amended from time to
time by the Government of India.

12.9.2.2 Medical tests (X-ray & Laboratory) shall be conducted in


respect of only those candidates who are found fit after
initial medical examination.

12.9.2.3 In case of medical examination, “Temporary unfitness”


will not be allowed. However, a woman candidate, who
as a result of tests is found to be pregnant, irrespective
of duration of pregnancy, she may be declared
temporarily unfit and her appointment held in abeyance
until the confinement is over. The vacancy against
which a woman candidate was selected will be kept
reserved for her. She should be re-examined for Detailed
Medical Examination six weeks after the date of
confinement, subject to the production of the medical
certificate of fitness from a registered medical
practitioner. If she is found fit she may be appointed to
the post kept reserved for and allow the benefit of
seniority in accordance with the instructions of the
government, as amended from time to time.

12.9.2.4 The candidates declared Unfit during Detailed Medical


Examination (DME) will be allowed to undergo Review
Medical Examination (RME), provided they give their
written consent by appending their signature on the
intimation indicating the reasons for being unfit, as per
Annexure-VIII. RME of candidates will be conducted in
continuation of DME preferably on the next day of DME.
The consent for RME as per Annexure-VIII duly signed
by the candidate should be submitted immediately after
he/she is informed of his/her unfitness in DME in
accordance to the GoI, MHA OM No. F.No-E.32012/
ADG(Med)/ DME & RME /DA-1/2020 (part file)/1166
dated 31/05/2021.

12.9.2.5 Review Medical Board shall examine the candidate


specifically for the deficiency for which the candidate
has been declared unfit during DME as per instruction.

12.9.2.6 If the candidate is found fit in RME, his name will be


included in the data/list of medically fit candidates for
preparing the final merit list/result.

13. Admission to the Examination:


13.1 All candidates who register themselves in response to this
advertisement by the closing date and time and whose

applications are found to be in order and are provisionally


accepted as per the terms and conditions of this Notice of
Examination, will be assigned Roll numbers and issued Admit
card for appearing in the CBT.
13.2 The CRPF will not undertake detailed scrutiny of applications
for the eligibility and other aspects, therefore, candidature will
be accepted only provisionally. The candidates are advised to go
through the requirements of educational qualification,
experience, age, etc. and satisfy themselves that they are
eligible for the post/trade. Copies of supporting documents will
be sought during pre-verification of documents at the time of
Document Verification and DME. When scrutiny is undertaken,
if any claim made in the application is not found substantiated,
the candidature will be cancelled and the CRPF decision in this
regard shall be final.
13.3 Admit card for all the stages of examination will be issued
through online mode only. Admit card for any stage of
examination will not be sent by post. Candidates are therefore,
advised to visit the website of CRPF regularly for any updates
on the recruitment process.
13.4 Information about the Examination indicating the time table
and City/Centre of examination for the candidates will be
uploaded on the website of the CRPF about two weeks before
the date of examination. If any candidate does not find his/her
detail on the website of the CRPF, one week before the date of
examination, he/she must immediately contact the helpline
with proof of having submitted his/her application. Failure to
do so will deprive him/her of any claim for consideration.
13.5 Candidates must write Registration Number, registered Email-
ID and Mobile Number along with name, date of birth and name
of the examination, while addressing any communication to the
CRPF. Communication from the candidate not furnishing these
particulars shall not be entertained.
13.6 Facility for downloading of Admit Cards will be available 2
weeks before the next stage of recruitment process on the
website of CRPF. Candidate must bring 02 (two) coloured print
out of the Admit Card to the Examination Centre.
13.7 In case of inability to download admit cards for CBT,
PST/PET/Trade test/Document Verification and DME/RME
from the website of CRPF, candidates should contact the CRPF
at least one week before CBT, PST/PET/, Trade test, Document
verification/DME/RME whatever stage applicable. In case of
non receipt of admit cards the candidate may contact at CRPF

helpline number 011-26160255 (1000 to 1800 hrs on


working days).
13.8 In addition to the admit card, it is mandatory to carry at least
two passport size recent colour photographs, one of the
following original valid Photo-ID proof having the Date of Birth
as printed on the admit card viz:
13.8.1 Aadhaar Card/ Printout of E-Aadhaar,
13.8.2 Voter’s ID Card,
13.8.3 Driving License,
13.8.4 PAN Card,
13.8.5 Passport,
13.8.6 Employer ID Card (Govt./ PSU/Private),
13.8.7Any other photo bearing ID Card issued by the
Central/State Government.
13.9 If Photo Identity Card does not have the date of birth printed on
it, then the candidate must carry an additional original
certificate in proof of their date of birth. In case of mismatch in
the date of birth mentioned in the Admit card and photo
ID/Certificate brought in support of date of birth, the candidate
will not be allowed to appear in the examination.
13.10 Any other document mentioned in the admit card shall also be
carried by the candidates while appearing in the Examination.
13.11 Applications with blurred photograph/signature will be rejected.

14 Mode of Selection:

14.1 The recruitment process will consist of CBT, PST/PET, Trade


Test, Documents verification and Medical Examination
(DME/RME).
14.2 Candidates scoring below mentioned cut off marks in CBT will be
considered eligible for shortlisting to the next stage of
recruitment process :

14.3 Male and female candidates who qualify in CBT, will be


shortlisted State/UT wise and category wise on the basis of their

merit in the CBT for appearing in the next stage of recruitment


process. The number of candidates shortlisted for the PST/PET
will be approximately 8 times of the number of vacancies of
their merit in the Computer based Test & the number of
candidates to be shortlisted for the Trade test, Document
Verification and DME/RME will be approximately 2 or 3 times
of the number of vacancies. The admit cards will be uploaded on
CRPF website accordingly.
14.4 Document verification (i.e. collection of required eligibility
certificate/documents from the candidates and their verification
with original documents) will be conducted by the Board of
Officers(BOO) along with detailed Medical Examination.
14.5 On the basis of normalized marks scored by candidates in the
Computer Based Test, the final selection of candidates in each
category namely, un-reserved, SC, ST, OBC, EWS and ESM will
be made separately for male and female candidates in respect of
each State/UT.
14.6 Candidates will be considered for the vacancies of a State/UT on
the information provided by them in the online Application Form
and subsequent submission of relevant Domicile Certificate at
the time of DME/Document Verification. CANDIDATES SHOULD
BE VERY CAREFUL AND MUST EXERCISE DUE DILIGENCE
WHILE PROVIDING INFORMATION ABOUT DOMICILE STATE
AND IN THE ONLINE APPLICATION FORM UNDER ANY
CIRCUMSTANCES. IF THERE IS ANY VARIATION OF STATE
MENTIONED BY THE CANDIDATE IN THE ONLINE
APPLICATION FORM AND THE DOMICILE CERTIFICATE
SUBMITTED BY THEM AT THE TIME OF DME/DOCUMENT
VERIFICATION, THEIR CANDIDATURE WILL BE CANCELLED
FORTHWITH AND THEY WILL NOT BE ALLOWED TO
PARTICIPATE IN THE DETAILED MEDICAL EXAMINATION.
14.7 SC, ST, OBC, EWS and ESM candidate who are selected on their
own merit without relaxed standards, along with candidates
belonging to other communities, will not be adjusted against the
reserved share of vacancies. Such candidates will be
accommodated against the unreserved vacancies as per their
position in the overall merit list. The reserved vacancies will be
filled up separately from amongst the eligible SC, ST, OBC, EWS
and ESM candidates.
14.8 SC, ST, OBC, EWS and ESM candidate who qualifies on the basis
of relaxed standards viz age limit, height and chest
measurement, experience or qualifications, permitted number of
chances, extended zone of consideration larger than what is
provided for General category candidate etc, irrespective of
his/her merit position, such SC, ST, OBC, EWS and ESM
candidate are to be counted against reserved vacancies. In so far

as cases of ex-serviceman are concerned, deduction of the


military service rendered from the age of ex-servicemen is
permissible against the reserved or unreserved posts/trades and
such exemption will not be termed as relaxed standards in regard
to age.
14.9 The candidates applying for the examination should ensure that
they fulfil all the eligibility conditions for admission to the
examination. Their admission at all the stages of examination will
be purely provisional, subject to their satisfying the prescribed
eligibility conditions. If on verification, at any time before or after
the CBT, PST/PET, Trade test, Document verification and
medical examination as well as after issue of offer of
appointment/joining the CRPF, it is found that they do not fulfill
any of the eligibility conditions, their candidature/selection for
the post will be cancelled by the CRPF.
14.10 Success in the examination confers no right of appointment
unless Government is satisfied after such enquiry as may be
considered necessary that the candidate is suitable in all respects
for appointment to the service.
14.11 If a candidate is finally selected and does not receive any
correspondence from the CRPF within a period of 03 months
from the declaration of final result, he/she must communicate
immediately with Recruitment Directorate CRPF helpline
number.
15. Resolution of Tie-cases: In the event of tie in scores of candidates in
the CBT, such cases will be resolved by applying following criteria, one
after another in the given order, till the tie is resolved:

15.1 Marks in Part-‘A’ of CBT.

15.2 Marks in Part-‘B’ of CBT.

15.3 Date of birth, with older candidates placed higher.

15.4 Alphabetical order of names.

16. Action against candidates found guilty of misconduct:

16.1 If candidates are found to indulge at any stage in any of the


malpractices listed below during the conduct of examination or
thereafter, their candidature for this examination will be
cancelled and they will be debarred from the examination for
the period mentioned below:

16.2 The CRPF may also report the matter to the Police/Investigating

17. Final Decision: The decision of the CRPF in all matters relating to
eligibility, acceptance or rejection of the applications, penalty for false
information, mode of selection, conduct of examination, allotment of
examination centres, debarment for indulging in malpractices,
preparation of merit list will be final and binding on the candidates and
no enquiry/correspondence in this regard will be entertained.
18. Court’s Jurisdiction: Any dispute in regard to this recruitment will be
subject to courts having jurisdiction over the place of concerned
Examination Centres where the candidate has appeared for the CBT.

19. It has been decided that after declaration of final result the CRPF will
make available scores and ranking of the candidates in the recruitment
examination on its portal.
20. Important instructions to the candidates:
20.1 The candidates whose date of birth, Domiciles, Name of parents
do not match with the application submitted online; their
candidature will be summarily rejected.
20.2 The candidates whose LTI, signature, handwriting and photo
either one of these do not match with biometric data collected
during CBT and submitted online by the applicants do not
match at any stage, they will be categorized as suspected
candidates. Further, the CRPF may also take appropriate
action to get the matter examined by the concerned
authorities/forensic experts, etc to decide the candidature.
20.3 The candidates are advised to go through the following very
carefully: -

3 Collection of documents from the candidates and their verification
will be carried out at the time of DME by the Recruitment Board.
Therefore, candidature will be accepted only provisionally. Before
applying, candidates should go through the requirements of
educational qualification, age, physical and medical standards etc.

When scrutiny o f documents is undertaken at the time of DME,
if any claim made in the application is not found substantiated,

4 Candidates seeking reservation benefits available for SC/ ST/

6 Persons with Disabilities (PwD) candidates are not eligible to
apply for this examination.
7 Candidates are advised to fill their correct and active e-mail
address and mobile number in the online application as
correspondence may be made by the CRPF through e-mail/ SMS.

8 Fee payable: Examination Fees @ Rs 100/- for male candidates of


General, EWS and OBC only. Candidates belonging to SC/ST, Ex-
servicemen and Female candidates of all categories are exempted.
9 The candidates must write their name, date of birth, father’s
name and mother’s name strictly as given in the matriculation
certificate otherwise their candidature may be cancelled at the time
of Document Verification or as and when it comes into the notice
of the CRPF.
10 The candidates are required to upload the scanned colour
passport size photograph in JPG/JPEG format (50 KB to 100 KB)
in the online application form. The photograph should not be
more than three months old and date on which the photograph
has been taken must be clearly printed on the photograph.
Applications without such date printed on the photograph will be
rejected. Image dimension of the photograph should be about 35
mm (width) x 45 mm (height). The photograph should be without
cap, spectacles and both ears should be visible. If the proper
photograph is not uploaded by the candidate, his candidature
will be cancelled.
11 CANDIDATES MUST BE VERY CAREFUL AND SHOULD
EXERCISE DUE DILIGENCE WHILE PROVIDING
INFORMATION ABOUT DOMICILE STATE AND DISTRICT IN
THE ONLINE APPLICATION FORM. NO REQUEST FOR

12 One candidate is allowed to apply for one post only. Only one
online application is allowed to be submitted by a candidate for the
Examination. Therefore, the candidates must exercise due
diligence at the time of filling their online Application Form. In case,
more than one application of a candidate are detected, all the
applications will be rejected and his/her candidature for the
examination will be cancelled. If a candidate submits multiple
applications and appears in the examination (at any stage) more
than once, his/ her candidature will be cancelled and he/she will
be debarred from the examination.
13 Before submission of the final online application, candidates
must check that they have filled correct details in each field of
the form. After submission of the final online application form,

no change/correction/modification will be allowed under any


circumstances. Requests received in this regard in any form
like Post, FAX, Email, by hand, etc shall not be entertained
and application will be summarily rejected.
14 Applications with blurred/illegible Photograph/signature will be
rejected summarily.
15 When application is successfully submitted, it will be accepted
'Provisionally'. Candidate should take printout of the application
form for their own records. Normally, printout of the online
Application Form is not required to be submitted to the CRPF at
any stage.
16 The candidates must carry two passport size recent colour
photographs and one original Photo ID Proof such as Aadhaar
Card/ printout of E-Aadhaar, Driving License, Voter Card, PAN
Card, Identity Card issued by University/ College/ Government,
Employer ID Card, ESM discharge book issued by the MoD or
any photo bearing ID card issued by Central/ State Government
to the Examination Venue, failing which they will not be allowed
to appear for the same. If Photo Identity Card does not have the
Date of Birth printed in it, then the candidate must carry an
additional original certificate in proof of their Date of Birth. In
case of mismatch in the date of birth mentioned in the admit
card and photo ID/Certificate brought in support of date of
birth, the candidate will not be allowed to appear in the
examination.
17 In case of fake/ fabricated application/ registration by misusing
any dignitaries name/ photo, such candidate will be held
responsible for the same and liable for suitable legal action under
IT act.
18 Candidates should note that they are applying for combat Force
and should participate in the recruitment process with due
physical/mental preparation and will be fully responsible for any
incident/accident occurring during any stage of recruitment.
GOI/CRPF/Recruiting Centre will not be responsible for any
such unforeseen incident/accident. Candidates will participate
in recruitment at their own risk.
19 Admit card for any stage of examination will not be sent by post.
Therefore, candidates are advised to visit CRPF website

cards.

21 Appellate Authority for physical Standard Test will be the DIG of


Group Centre of respective recruitment centre. If any candidate
is not satisfied / do not agree with the decision of PST board,
he/she may appeal to appellate authority through Presiding
Officer only at concerned recruitment centre on same day. The
decision of the appellate authority will be final and no further
appeal or representation in this regard will be entertained
thereafter. There is no appeal against PET(race).
22 If a candidate deliberately make head injury (bulge/swelling) or
keep tamarind on his head for taking benefit of height, such
candidate will be debarred from the further process of
recruitment.
20 Any candidate found under influence of any energetic medicine
during PET will be debarred from the further process of
recruitment.
23 If a candidate scoring more than cut-off marks at any stage of
the examination is not qualified for the subsequent stage/ final
selection due to any reason, he/she must represent to the
concerned Recruitment Centre within 05 days of the declaration
of the result or 05 days prior to the conduct of next stage of the
examination, whichever is earlier.
24 If a candidate is finally selected and does not receive any
correspondence from the CRPF within a period of 03 months after
declaration of result, he/she must communicate immediately
thereafter with the concerned recruitment centre.
23 The candidates should bring two coloured print out of admit
card at the time of each stage of examination. One copy of admit
card is required to be handed over to the examination centre.
25 Before proceeding to register your application, select name of
post to be appeared during CONSTABLE (TECHNICAL &
TRADESMEN) – 2023 Examination. You must ensure that you
have read and understood the eligibility criteria of the post/trade
and ensure about fulfilling all the eligibility conditions for the
applied post. Later, at any stage of recruitment process, if it is
found that you do not fulfill any of the eligibility conditions, or
found guilty of suppressing any facts, your candidature for the
examination will be cancelled by the Department.
26 This Department will not be responsible for any consequences arising
out of non acceptance of any correction/addition/deletion in any
particular field in application form whatever the reasons may be.
27 The candidates should clearly mention the post/trade for which
he/she is applying in the online application form.
28 The appointment will be subject to the condition that the
candidates declared medically fit as per laid down criteria and
fulfilling all other required conditions.

29 All the posts are combatised. Selected candidates will be sent for
Basic training at any of the training institution/GC of the CRPF.
The services of those who fail to complete the training successfully
are liable to be terminated as per the Rules / Instructions issued
on the subject by the Govt./Department from time to time.
30 Final scrutiny of eligibility criteria with regards to age, educational
qualification, caste, physical/medical standard etc. will be
undertaken at the time of Medical Examination and also at the
time of joining in the Force. Therefore, candidature of a candidate
will be accepted only provisionally till joining the Force. At the
time of medical examination/joining the Force when scrutiny is
undertaken and if any claim made in application is not found
substantiated, then the candidature will be cancelled and the
decision of CRPF in this regard shall be final. Also after joining the
Force, authenticity/ genuineness of DOB/Education/Caste/other
requisite certificates will be got verified from concerned Board/
authority/ institution and in case of any discrepancy found at any
stage, services of candidate concerned shall liable to be
terminated without assigning any reasons.
31 Any amendment to the advertisement or updates regarding
recruitment and tests/result etc. will only be published on CRPF
website www.crpf.gov.in.
32 Relaxation in respective category will only be given to those cases
where vacancies are available in the respective category for the
applied post. If vacancies of the respective category are not
available in the post/trade and candidate is not taking relaxation
of his category, he/she will be treated as UR category candidate.
Where vacancy of ESM/EWS/OBC/SC/ST category is not
available and candidate does not fulfill the criteria of UR category
candidate, candidature of such candidates will be rejected at any
stage. However, applications of Ex-Servicemen candidates will be
accepted irrespective of their category or vacancy in particular
category.

PROCEDURE FOR ONLINE SUBMISSION OF APPLICATION


Steps to Apply:

I Candidates should have a valid personal e-mail ID & mobile number.


It should be kept active during the entire recruitment process.
Application sequence number, password & all other important
communication/alerts will be sent on the same registered e-mail ID
(please ensure that e-mail sent to this mail box is not redirected to
your junk/spam folder).
II Candidates should take utmost care to furnish the correct details
while filling in the on-line application form. You can edit the
information before submission of Step-I and Step-II. Once the form is
submitted, it can’t be edited.
III The step by step process for submitting the application form is given
below:
Step-I: Registration of personal & contact details. Login ID and
password will be sent to you through e-mail on registered e-mail ID.
Step-II: Re-login and select the category and fill up the personal
details, qualification details, upload photo & signature and submit
“Recruitment Processing Charges” and examination fees, (if applicable)
to be paid by all the candidates, irrespective of category, online via SBI
MOPS through net banking/debit cards/credit cards/UPI/Challan.
IV Application once submitted cannot be withdrawn and fee once paid
will not be refunded in any case, neither shall be held reserved for any
other recruitment nor selection process in future.
STEP-I Registration:

b. The candidates should fill up all the desired information i.e. Personal

 Avoid uniforms of colours matching the background.
 If the applicant wears optical glasses, then his/her eyes should be

 The size of the scanned image should be between 50-100 kb in

 The signature must be signed only by the applicant and not by any

g. Once the application is submitted, candidates will be automatically
redirected to SBI gateway to deposit the examination fee of
Recruitment Processing Charges of INR 520 and INR 100 (if
applicable) (plus Bank charges, if applicable) to be paid by all
candidates, through Debit Card/Credit Card/ Net Banking/UPI/
Challan etc. Candidates may generate payment acknowledgement slip
for future reference.
h. Guidelines for remittance of fee are as under:

FORMAT FOR SC/ST CERTIFICATE

A candidate who claims to belong to one of the Scheduled Caste or the


Scheduled Tribes should submit in support of his claim an attested/certified
copy of a certificate in the form given below, from the District Officer or the
sub-Divisional Officer or any other officer as indicated below of the District in
which his parents (or surviving parent) ordinarily reside who has been
designated by the State Government concerned as competent to issue such a
certificate. If both his parents are dead, the officer signing the certificate
should be of the district in which the candidate himself ordinarily resides
otherwise than for the purpose of his own education. Wherever photograph is
an integral part of the certificate, the Commission would accept only attested
photocopies of such certificates and not any other attested or true copy.
