The EFA device monitors the frequency of an AC power supply and triggers relays if the frequency drops below or rises above separately adjustable upper and lower limits. It has microprocessor-based frequency measurement, selectable bandwidths from 0.5-10 Hz, and two time delay functions from 0.1-30 seconds that are used to prevent premature triggering of the relays. It provides LED indications and has SPDT relay outputs to signal when the monitored frequency is within or outside the set limits.
