Discrete mathematics has been used by people for a long time,

and its use continues to grow not only in our country but around the
world. It is used by people in many ways. So what is discrete
mathematics? Discrete mathematics deals with problem-solving
techniques that use finite or non-continuous quantities. Think of the
person who eats; when he is full, he will stop eating. What I want to
convey is that discrete mathematics deals with the finite. Discrete math
covers topics like matrices, finite probability, difference equations, and
graph theory. However, with all those being mentioned, the true power
of discrete mathematics is algorithm problem solving, or solving
problems by creating and analyzing algorithms that build a solution.

I realize that discrete mathematics is very important, especially in


my information technology course, because the topics discussed in my
course are about mathematical structures that are countable, logic,
problem solving, etc. so discrete mathematics will help me a lot and I
will be more proficient in logic and problem solving. It will also serve as
a bridge between math, communications, and computation.
My expectation on this subject is that I think it is not so easy and
not so difficult. No matter how difficult or urgent this subject is, I will
continue to study it because it is the most important subject that I need
to study to learn and become proficient in programming. I think the
barrier for me to enjoying learning discrete math is my internet
connection. Sometimes my signal is weak, so maybe when the teacher
is discussing, I won't be able to understand what she is discussing.
Another problem I will have is the equipment to be able to attend class,
especially since I am in online learning mode.
