Task 1 :
The presentation shows data about the percentage of first year students rating different aspects of their
study at college within three courses.
It can be clearly seen that Law students find themselves most satisfied with other resources while
remarkable responses go to teaching, tutor and print resources by those who study Economics.
According to the diagram, an average of 95% of Commerce freshmen appreciates their pre-course
information and teaching provided by the college whereas these figures Law rating are just
approximately 60-70%. Teaching and tutor of Commerce also receive good feedback with respectively
95% and 93% among included undergraduates. In contrast to stable percentage of Commerce in all
aspects, that of Economics sharply fluctuated from 59% in pre-course information to over 80% in print
resources and back to 60% in other resources. Meanwhile, compared to Law students, at least 80% rated
it to be at excellent standard and it is also the most to be found pleased by them.
In an era that rapid urban development has never received such controversial debate, more people can
afford their personal vehicles than ever. Some argue that increasing legal age for driving or riding play an
important part in road safety, however, personally, I do not completely agree with this point of view for
several reasons which will be outlined below.
Admittedly, grown-ups are believed to be more responsible and self-concious with their behaviors. They
will abide by common traffic rules; taking drinking before driving, which is contributed to most severe car
accidents, as an example; for the sake of their own safety. Nevertheless, to take a closer look at empirical
statistic, traffic accidents are generally caused by all random people regardless of their ages or genders
due to various factors such as poor concentration, dangerous driving, or a lack of awareness and skill. Old
people, in particular, are more likely to suffer from poor concentration and lack of awareness, when
compared to younger people who tend to have a better general awareness of their surroundings, and
have a higher level of physical ability and reaction timing. Additionally, dangerous driving is likely to be
performed by anyone at any age, not necessarily young people.
