A. INTRODUCTION OF VISUAL SYSTEM

Not every water treatment plant have the same configuration as in picture above.
a. Some water treatment plant does not have Intake pump (gravity)
b. Some water treatment plant have booster pump
c. For 20 lps water treatment plant there are only three valve for drainage lamella.
d. Some water treatment plant have two compartement clearwell
e. Some water treatment plant does not have distribution pump ( gravity)

B. SYSTEM OPERATION FOR OPERATOR

This section is intended for prospective operators to be able to use the system (SCADA) which contains
how to run the system, how to enter and exit the system, how to change language, how to run
production, how to run pumps manually, how to do sludge removal, how to do sludge backwash, how to
run a distribution.
OPERATING SISTEM (SCADA)
This section will explain how to run or activate the system (SCADA):Open Google Chrome

1. Google Chrome will run system automatically

Press F11 → To maximize screen


Press F5 → To adjust the object to the screen

HOW TO RUN A PUMP MANUALLY

1. Click the Intake Pump Icon → The side screen will show the settings for the Intake Pump.

2. Change the Operation Mode to Manual mode

(Click the START button to run the Intake Pump manually)


Automatic (Group) Operation (Intake pump operates automatically according to settings)
Manual Operation (Intake pump operation is manual using frequency)
Manual Flow Input (Intake Pump is operated manually using debit flow)
Manual Pressure Input (Intake Pump is operated manually using Pressure )

HOW TO DO SLUDGE DISPOSAL


1. Click on Flocculator / Lamella The side screen will show settings

2. Click FLUSH SLUDGE to do sludge removal → sludge removal valve will open

automatically (Valve Color: Green) → Sludge removal process information will appear on

the screen.

Notes:
• Don't forget to do sludge removal on other Flocculator / Lamella!

HOW TO DO BACKWASH
1. Click one of the tank Sand Filtration (Example: F101A) The side screen will show display
the Sand Filtration tank settings.

2. Click START BACKWASH to run the Backwash process SET LEVEL in the Backwash
process will appear on the screen The drain and water level reduction valve will open
automatically.

3. The next step is AIR BLOWER→ Valve for Air Blower on the Sand Filtration will open and Air
Blower will be activated automatically → The screen will display the AIR BLOWER process
and also when the air blower is active according to the settings.

4. The next step is AIR + WATER BACKWASH → The drain valve, air blower and water
backwash will open automatically → The screen will show display the AIR + BACKWASH
process and also when the air blower is active according to the settings > Backwash water
pump will activate automatically.

Notes:
• AIR BLOWER → aims to break the sand against mud
• AIR + BACKWASH → The air blower and backwash air aim to lift the mud up to
the surface of the water to be discharged through the mud discharge valve
(Gutter)

5. the next step is BACKWASH 1 or the first drain> The Backwash water valve will remain
open and the Backwash water pump remains active and also the drain valve (Gutter) will
open → The screen will display the BACKWASH 1 process.

6. The next step is BACKWASH 2 → The Backwash water valve will remain open and the
Backwash water pump remains active and also the drain valve (Gutter) will open the same
as in the BACKWASH 1 .

7. The next step is BACKWASH 3 or the third drain Back The Backwash water valve will remain
open and the Backwash water pump remains active and also the drain valve (Gutter) will
open the same as in the BACKWASH steps 1 and 2.

8. The next step is SETTLE, aims to calm the water in the Sand Filtration for the time set in
the settings → All Valves in the Sand Filtration will be closed.

9. The next step is NESTING, aims to precipitate water in the Sand Filtration during the time
or height level that has been set in the settings >The drain valve and water level reduction
will open automatically

10. The final step in the drainage process is FLUSHING, aims to rinse the water in the Gutter in
the Sand Filtration > The Sand Filtration Valve Inlet will open and the drain Valve (Gutter)
will open automatically.

HOW TO RUN DISTRIBUTION


1. Click the ENABLE button on the side screen.

2. The Distribution Pump will activate and the Distribution ENABLE button will turn green.
Water discharge meter (Flow Meter), Pressure pipe distribution sensor (Pressure Sensor),
chlorine residual sensor and distribution water pH sensor will be green.

C. SYSTEM OPERATION FOR ENGINEER

This section is intended for prospective Engineers to be able to understand more about the
system (SCADA) such as Pump Group Operational Mode Settings (Intake, Backwash and
Distribution Pumps), Alarm and Warning Settings for each sensor, Sludge trigger settings or
Backwash, Backwash step, Level Control on sand filtration, etc.

MAINTENANCE USER
This section explains how to register a user or new user system.
1. Log in as Engineer

2. On the side screen → Click Settings → System Users

3. Input User Name or system user name → PIN Code Input → Click on the rightmost column
to change the system user authorization level.

4. Input User / User Name → PIN Code Input → Select User Level

REGULATION FOR OPERATIONAL PUMP GROUP MODE


Step by step for how to setting operational group pump mode:
1. Login as Engineer

2. Click of of the pump icon (Example: Intake Pump A) → Side display will showing
pump setting → Select PUMP GROUP

3. At Operational Mode, Select Operation Mode to running the pump

Disable : Pump is Disable


Fixed Frequency : Running pump using Pump Frequency
Fixed Flow : Running pump using Debit Flow
Fixed Pressure : Running pump using pressure inside the pipe
Flow Demand : Running pump using debit flow demand

And if Choose Fixed Frequency, Input Value for the frequency at the Fixed Frequency

ALARM AND WARNING SETTINGS AT SENSOR


SCADA has feature to add alarm and warning for every installed sensor (Example: Raw
Water NTU Sensor)
There is 2 kind of alarm:
Limit Alarm
Setting Alarm using Limit:
High Alarm

Low Alarm

Deviation Alarm
Setting Alarm using Deviation Percentage
Positive Alarm
Positive Warning
Negative Warning
Negative Alarm

Alarm →System will Shutdown Production/Distribution Process

Example:
System will show warning if Turbidity or Raw water NTU reach 5 NTU
1. Click Turbidity or Raw Water NTU Senso icon → Select Alarm → At Limit Alarm,
Checklist High Warning → Input NTU Value (Example: 5 NTU)

If Turbidity or Raw Water NTU reach 5 NTU, System will Showing orange colour at the sensor
icon.
Sensor List that usually get setting for Alarm and Warning:
✓ Raw Water NTU Sensor
✓ Raw Water pH Sensor
✓ Chemical Tank level Sensor
✓ Distribution Water NTU Sensor
✓ Distribution Water Chlorine Sensor
✓ Distribution Water pH Sensor

Notes:

Every Alarm and Warning Setting is same at every installed sensor.


➔ High Alarm and Low Alarm will stop the production and distribution

TRIGGER SETTINGS FOR SLUDGE REMOVAL


Sludge Removal Process at Flocculator/Lamella can be activated with Full-Auto using Trigger, it
mean Sludge Removal will be activated automatically by the System with setting the Trigger at
Flocculator/Lamella.
1. Click Flocculator/Lamella Icon→ Side display will showing setting

Sludge Removal Trigger has 3 Option Method :


Production Runtime
Sludge Removal will be automatically activated by the system when Production is running
with the specified time (Runtime : 6 hours)
Production Finished
Sludge Removal will be automatically activated by the system with the specified time after
Production is Finish (Delay: 30 minutes)
Regular
Sludge Removal will be automatically activated by the system with the specified time
inside interval (Interval: 24 hours)

Sludge Removal Setting ‐ Minimum Delay Between Two Flush


Time delay Setting for control First Sludge Removal with Second Sludge Removal. It is for
avoiding Sludge Removal at the short time.

BACKWASH TRIGGER SETTINGS


Backwash process can be activated Full-Auto using Trigger, it mean Backwash will be automatically
activated by the system with setting Trigger for each Sand Filter.
1. Click one of Sand Filter icon (Example: F101A) Side display will showing setting

Backwash Trigger has 4 option:


Level Reached
Backwash will be automatically activated by the system when water level at sand filter is at
specified level or at specified time (Level: 70 cm, Delay: 5 minutes)
Production Runtime
Backwash will be automatically activated by the system when production is running with
specified time (Runtime: 6 hours)
Production Finished
Backwash will be automatically activated by the system with the specified time after
Production is Finish (Delay: 30 minutes)
Regular
Backwash will be automatically activated by the system with the specified time inside
interval (Interval: 24 Hours)

Regeneration Setting – Minimum delay between two regeneration


Time delay Setting for control First Backwash with Second Backwash. It is for avoiding
Backwash at the short time.

BACKWASH STEP REGULATION


In every step of backwashing process can be set according to each site condition.
1. Click one of Sand Filter Icon (Example: F101A) → Side Display will showing setting
→ Select Program → Step and Setting of the backwash process will show

Control Mode for Backwash Pump can be use between Pump Frequency or backwash water debit

SAND FILTER WATER LEVEL CONTROL SETTING


System has a feature to control water level at sand filter.
1. Click one of Sand Filter Icon (Example: F101A) → Side Display will showing setting

Inlet Enable
Inlet Sand Filter Valve will close if water level reach 90 cm from the sand
Inlet Disable
Inlet Sand Filter Valve will open if water level reach 85 cm from the sand
Outlet Enable
Outlet Sand Filter Valve will open if water level reach 15 cm from the sand
Outlet Disable
Outlet Sand Filter Valve will close if water level reach 10 cm from the sand

Notes:
The water level control setting in the sand filter is made for maintain the water level in order to keep
The water not getting to low (Keep the sand always submerged in water) and not getting to high

DEMAND AND SUPPLY SETTING


This Demand and Supply Regulation is made to indicate production and suplly requirments
based on the water level in the clear well or reservoir.
1. Click on Reservoir Icon → Side Display will showing setting

Actual water level in the reservoir is 100 cm from the floor.

Demand On
Indication of production needs will be active when the water level in the reservoir reaches 20
cm from the floor
Demand Off
Indication of production needs will be inactive when the water level in the reservoir reaches
275 cm from the floor
Supply On
Indication of supply will be active when the water level in reservoir reaches 50 cm from the
floor
Supply Off
Indication of supply will be inactive when the water level in reservoir reaches 20 cm from the
floor

REGISTRATION OF CHEMICAL MATERIAL PARAMETER SPECIFICATION
