Bible Story: Story of Christmas

A. 3-6 Years old

 God Loves me.


 Declaration of Faith- (The Bible -The Deity of Jesus Christ) We believe that Jesus is God
manifested in the flesh, born of a virgin, without sin and the chosen Messiah Who will one day
set – up His kingdom on earth
 The sts learn about the importance of Christmas
 The sts must know why God send Jesus to us
 Memory Verse:

"God has given a son to us." Isaiah 9:6 (NCV)

B. 7-9 Years old

 Christmas celebration
 God’s love, Salvation (Declaration of Faith- The Deity of Jesus Christ) We believe that Jesus is
God manifested in the flesh, born of a virgin, without sin and the chosen Messiah Who will one
day set – up His kingdom on earth .
 The student must know the story of Christmas.
The sts must understand God’s love.
The sts. Must know the importance of Christmas
The sts must realize that God can do anything.
 Memory Verse:
“God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son. Anyone who believes in him will not
die but will have eternal life.” John 3:16, NIrV

C. 10-12 Years old

 JA1-Mission (Luke 4:18-19)


The students must understand the word Anointed, who is Anointed, What can the anointed do.
The students must know Jesus, the gospel.
Introduce Jesus and God’s love.
 Declaration of Faith (The Divine Healing and Deliverance) We believe that healing is for physical
ills of human body and is wrought by the power of God through the prayer of faith, and by the
laying on of hands. It is provided for in atonement of Christ, and is the privilege of every
member of the Church today.

January 8 (First Saturday)

A. 3-6 Years old

DECLARATION OF FAITH: The Deity of Jesus Christ

Lesson Proper
 Show students the letter Aa, ask them what letter it is, and ask them to think of a word that
starts with the letter Aa. Teacher can also stat with a game. (find the letter A)
 Begin the story of Mary and the Angel
 Use the word ANGEL (for A) A is for Angel. God sent an Angel to Mary to tell the good news.
 Teacher tells the students that God loves them since before they were even born. And because
God loves them/us God gave us Jesus.

CHECKING COMPREHENSION
Question 1, Ask, how do we know God loves us?
Answer- God gave us Jesus. God sent an Angel to Mary, so we could know Jesus is born for me
and you.

January 15

Lesson Proper
 Sing an Alphabet song and stop at letter I, ask the students what letter comes after Ii.
 Help them identify the letter Jj.
 Ask them to think of a word that begins with letter Ii.
 Begin to tell the bible story. Luke 2 :1-7 (J is for Jesus)
 Tell the student that God gave us Jesus.
CHECKING COMPREHENSION
Question 1, Ask, Where Jesus is born, what kind of animal did Mary ride into? Where did they
rest?
Answer- Bethlehem (Joseph was from Bethlehem). Donkey. Stable with animals
Question 2, Ask, how do we know God loves us?
Answer- God gave us Jesus. God gave us Jesus for me and You.

January 22

Lesson Proper
 Review letter Aa and Jj. (A is for angel, J is for Jesus). Teacher can also start with a game.
 Introduce the letter Ss
 Begin to tell the bible story. Luke 2:8-21
 Review. Jesus was born in a stable.
 S is for Shepherds, stable. Identify stable and Shepherds. (Shepherds watch over the sheep)
 Tell the students the shepherds were amaze that Jesus was born and they told everyone that
God gave us Jesus.

CHECKING COMPREHENSION
Question 1, Ask, what appeared in the sky and said to the shepherds “I bring you good news and
great joy, Jesus is born”
Answer- An Angel
Question 2, Ask, how do we know God loves us?
Answer- God gave us Jesus. God gave us Jesus for me and You. Jesus is for everyone.

 Introduce the letter Ww.
 Begin to tell the bible story. Matthew 2:1-2; 2::9-11
We can keep celebrating that God gave us Jesus even after Christmas Day.
The wise men celebrated after Jesus was born.
W- is for wise men
 The wise men gave gifts and worshipped Jesus. The wise men celebrated Jesus.

CHECKING COMPREHENSION
Question 1, Ask, what did the wise men saw in the sky?
Answer- A star
Question 2, Ask, how do we know God loves us?
Answer- God gave us Jesus. God gave us Jesus for me and You. Jesus is for everyone.

THEME: Remote Control: The choice is yours
INTRO SONG: Goodness of God
BOTTOM LINE: Be ready to do the right thing.
BIBLE REFERENCE: Jesus Is Tempted in the Desert Luke 4:1-13 Matthew 4:1-1
MEMORY VERSE: “God’s power has given us everything we need to lead a godly life.” 2Peter 1:3a

Motivation: Teacher can demonstrate the meaning of Self Control by tempting the children with
something that they like (toys, candies). You can also try to use remote control as your props, since it’s
also the THEME for this month.
Lesson Proper
 Explain. Self-Control means choosing to do what you should do even when you don’t want to, or
when you want to do something even though you know it’s wrong.
 Bible Story. Satan Tempts Jesus (Luke 4:1-13)
 Introduce the bible story.
o Before Jesus was tempted, he was baptized in to the Jordan river. He was 30 years old.
o Instead of doing miracles Jesus was led by God’ s Spirit into the desert for 40 long days
after he was baptized.
o During this time Jesus ate nothing at all. He trusts God’s plan for him.
o But Jesus wasn’t alone in the dessert, the devil showed up and tempted Jesus.
o Tell what the devil did and used to tempt Jesus. (Turn rock into bread, tempt to worship
satan instead of God, tempt Jesus to Jump)
o Emphasize that Jesus was ready to make a wise choice because Jesus learned God’s
word from the beginning. Emphasize the importance of the bible.
o Jesus fought satan with God’s word.
o Satan left and the Angels of the Lord take care of Jesus and God provided everything for
Jesus.
CHECKING COMPREHENSION
Ask any questions related in the story.
1.How do we control ourselves when we’re tempted to do what we shouldn’t do?
If we want to do the right thing, first, we have to learn the right thing.
2. Where can we learn the right thing? How do we prepare?
We need instructions. And that is the bible.

BOTTOM LINE: When you lose control, it can cause trouble.
BIBLE REFERENCE: Broken-Down Walls, Proverbs 25:28
MEMORY VERSE: “God’s power has given us everything we need to lead a godly life.” 2 Peter 1:3a

Motivation: Teacher can ask the students about the movie “CLick”. The man who can control his life with
the use of remote control. But create chaos when he loses control.
Lesson Proper
 Review last week’s story and bottom line; Be ready to do the right thing
 Introduce today’s bottom line; When you lose control, it can cause trouble.
 Ask the students to tell the meaning of self-control. Self-Control means choosing to do what you
should do even when you don’t want to, or when you want to do something even though you
know it’s wrong.
 Begin to tell a story. Proverbs 25:28
o Tell a story about a person without self-control
o Emphasize proverbs 25:28
o Walls- Self Control
o Self-Control is the fruit of the spirit. If you put your trust into Jesus and follow him, the
Holy spirit will be there to help you keep control
 End the story with a testimony and ask your students to share their experience as well.

February 19

BOTTOM LINE: Don’t be controlled by your anger.
BIBLE REFERENCE: David Spares Saul's Life, 1 Samuel 24
MEMORY VERSE: “God’s power has given us everything we need to lead a godly life.” 2 Peter 1:3a

Motivation: Teacher may ask the students how would they feel if someone destroy their favorite toy or
if someone hit them intentionally.
Lesson Proper
 Review last week’s story and bottom line; When you lose control, it can cause trouble.
 Introduce and discuss today’s bottom line; Don’t be controlled by your anger
 Begin to tell the bible story. 1 Samuel 24
o David had been chosen by God as Israel’s next king.
o But before that Saul was still king
o David served king Saul and won many battles for him
o People loved David
o Saul was jealous of David and tried to kill him (David)
o David escape and 400 men join them
o Saul still chases David, until Saul received news, that the Philistine were attacking Israel,
so he stops chasing David.
o After the Philistine, Saul continues to chase David with his 3000 soldiers.
o David and the 400 men hide into the cave.
o Saul became tired and look for shelter. Saul was led to the cave where David is hiding.
o David was angry and had the opportunity to kill Saul, but he did not kill Saul.
 Tell the students that David was angry at first because Saul doesn’t stop chasing him. He was
angry because David love and serve king Saul and yet Saul wants to kill him.
 Tell the students that David learn to control his anger and did not kill Saul when David had the
opportunity.
CHECKING COMPREHENSION
Ask questions about the story.
How should we control our anger? We can PAUSE and THINK our next actions.

Motivation: Teacher can start with a game. Teacher may ask what they do when they get mad.
Lesson Proper
 Review last week’s story and bottom line; Don’t be controlled by your anger.
 Introduce/Discuss today’s bottom line; Think before you speak
 Discuss Proverbs 12:18
o The teacher may start reading Proverbs 1:8 My son, listen to your father’s advice.
    Don’t turn away from your mother’s teaching.

What they teach you will be like a beautiful crown on your head.
    It will be like a chain to decorate your neck.
o Emphasize that it is important to make the right choice.
o Talk about how words can harm and hurt people.
o The words of thoughtless people cut like swords. But the tongue of wise people brings
healing. Proverbs 12:18
o Encourage students to choose the right words, good words that will not hurt a person.
o You can ask the students to give an example of how to say things nicely.
o Words should bring encouragement, comfort, truth and wisdom.

CHECKING COMPREHENSION
Discussion. Give a scenario and ask children how will they react and what words would they
speak.
Supporting verse. James 1:19B- Everyone should be quick to listen. But they should be slow to
speak. They should be slow to get angry.

 Motivation: Talk about Self -Control. Identify. Self-Control means choosing to do what you
should do even when you don’t want to, or when you want to do something even though you
know it’s wrong.

 Review last week’s story and bottom line; Think before you speak
 Introduce/Discuss today’s bottom line; Know when to Stop
 Discuss Proverbs 25:16
o Ask what happens when you have too much of a good thing.
o Teacher can tell the story from a movie YES DAY. (Jennifer Garner)
o Teacher can also base the discussion from the movie.
o Or teacher can make up a story about having too much of a good thing.
o Supporting Verse. Proverbs 25:16. If you find honey, eat just enough. If you eat too
much of it, you will throw up.
o It’s okay to have enough and know when to STOP.
