ODISHA population was 1.41cr in 1951 and was growing at a cagr of 19% and in 2011 Odisha
population was around 4.19 cr. While India population was growing at a cagr of 22% was
around121cr in 2011. From graph we can see that India avg population decadal growth rate was
greater in every decade when compared to Odisha. contribution % is also decreasing on decadal
basis for Odisha. contribution % is decreasing due to higher infant mortality rate, higher death
rate and lesser birth rate etc when compared with avg India rate.

In fy 22 Odisha almost spend 16.95% of gsdp on social expenditure. social expenditure is spent
on health and education in a state. Odisha social expenditure was increasing at 14.09% over the

Odisha mostly grow 4 to 5 food grains only. Out of which rice almost accounted for 90% of all the food
other 3to 4 food grains account for 10% of total food grain. In fy 21 Odisha produce maxm amount of
foodgrain which is 9523.6 thousands tones due to good rainfall .
