The lion traps the mouse in his paw but spares it when the mouse promises it may help the lion someday. 2) Some time later, hunters trap the lion. The mouse happens upon the scene and remembers her promise. She chews through the ropes tying the lion, freeing him. The lion and mouse become friends after this.
