1. Introduction
Product overview with general features and product specifications.
OVERVIEW

The “Monitor TFT Stretch” is a visualization system based on Stretch Matrix modules and an Industrial Embedded PC.

The display is designed for public information provided in indoor and semi-outdoor (roofed) areas.

The TFT stretched solution allows to resize the TFT module vertically, display the following passenger information
such as train destination / train timetable / information and so on in a multimedia graphic area.

The display is designed for Railway Public Transportation areas in order to convey journey-related information to the
convenience of the passengers.

The following configurations are available:

• Materials and components are selected on the basis of their fire resistance, low smoke emission and auto
extinguishing properties. Materials containing halogens are most widely avoided;
• High reliability with very few ordinary maintenance (only for filter substitution);

Serviceability:

The monitor is composed of two main structures: rear housing and front door.

The rear housing represents the main structure where all the electric and electronic components (power supply and
management boards) are installed while the front door hosts the TFT module and the front protection.

The front door is designed to be opened on-site to allow access to the internal parts: replacement is performed by
Plug & Play modules.

This solution brings these benefits:

• Maintainability: Onsite / Workshop (Only for TFT module replacement);
• Adopted concept design focuses a quick on-site corrective and preventive maintenance;
• All components are accessible at first level;
• Quick release fast plug and play module provided by adapters;
• No special tools required;
• One man Maintenance – Weight of a single replaceable units is less than 25Kg;
• Direct air exchange with the outside by special filter;
• Diagnostic and Configuration can be performed remotely.

3. TTS / PRM function

Upon request, the monitor can be equipped with the optional TTS / PRM function.

Such a function is obtained by mean of

- A radio receiver compliant with French PRM remote controls (ASK Radio Receiver - NF S32-002 Compliant)
- A TTS vocalizer installed into the embedded PC (one language installed as standard and upon request additional
languages can be activated)
- An audio system composed by an amplifier and an inbuilt loudspeaker.

High quality electronic components, are used to obtain better sound, high Signal/Noise ratio, low Total Harmonic
Distortion (THD+N), wide frequency response range.
