Audio Material - STEMS Group (2023) PDF

This document provides detailed requirements for copying audio material from various non-linear editing (NLE) software into Avid Pro Tools. It specifies that the audio must be exported at 24 bits/48kHz in AAF or OMF format along with the corresponding EDL and production sound files. Guidelines are given for Premiere Pro, Media Composer, DaVinci Resolve, and Final Cut Pro X on exporting full or trimmed audio files depending on the project type and ensuring a 24-bit/48kHz workflow from the start.

* IT IS VITAL TO ENSURE A 24-BIT/ 48KHZ WORKFLOW

IN THE NLE FROM THE BEGINNING OF THE PROJECT.

AUDIO MATERIAL COPY ACCORDING TO NLE:

For PREMIERE PRO:

● Audio must be at 48Khz & 24 bits.
● Enable all audio tracks, including camera sound.
● The material must be sent in format OMF/AAF.
● 24-Bit Broadcast Wave Format (WAV/BWF) or 24-Bit AIFF.
● Export separate Audio - Not embedded.

■ For documentary projects: When exporting the audio material, audio files
must be trimmed, leave the control frames (handles) at least 999 frames
or 40 seconds, to have resources for sound editing.
