1. How do you think Mr. Nirupam s presentation would go?

Solution: There is no reason for Mr. Nirupam s presentation to be a failure, him being a seasoned academician with experience under his belt. Though Mr. Nirupam had gone into the meeting keeping in mind a small mix of crowd comprising sales and marketing executives, he, with his experience and knowledge could have easily tackled a higher number of audience consisting of marketing executives, book distributors, faculty from leading coaching institutes and CAT aspirants. Mr. Nirupam was already prepared for a marketing and sales level interaction present among the audience. With respect to the faculties and aspirants, it should be his forte given the fact that not only does he writes books on CAT, but he himself is an IIM graduate, thus giving him a students perspective.

2. Would it be as effective as the Bright Education Management and Mr Nirupam himself wanted it to be?
Solution: Mr. Nirupam had prepared a presentation for Marketing and Sales executives. It was meant for the administrative and marketing side of the book. Thus presentation-wise his presentation may not have been very effective, but as a seasoned academician and writer of reference books for CAT, he definitely was in a position to explain his point of view to the faculties and aspirants for whom the presentation was not meant. The session could be more interactive to accommodate everyone present at the session.

3. Do you think the organization would get the benefits of organizing this session?
Solution: The organization will most definitely be benefited from such a session as not only it will consist of getting the marketing and sales people more aware about the book, but it will also lead to awareness among aspirants and faculties with respect to the book. Being aware about the book will to more sales of the book and greater awareness of the author which will lead to future sales.

4. Put yourself in Mr. Piyush s shoes, analyze the situation and defend yourself.
Solution: Mr. Piyush, the marketing executive who reports to Mr. Shravanan is a bright pass out from a reputed B-School. He is well aware of the do-s and don t-s functionalities that are required out of him. In the letter written to him by Mr. Nirupam, one of the valid points could have been that of the enquiry about the LCD projector. That has been addressed by Mr. Piyush accordingly. Mr. Nirupam, with regard to his qualification and experience, was assumed to be capable to handle an audience of any quantity and quality by Mr. Piyush. Thus, that point has been rightly ignored by Mr. Piyush. Therefore, his response to Mr. Nirupam was apt.
