1.What does GMO stand for? Explain what are GMOs made of?
- GMO means Genetically Modified Organism, GMOs made from soy, corn, or other crops grown
from seeds with genetically engineered DNA.

2.“Scientists genetically engineer seeds for many reasons.” List 6 reasons why scientists create
genetically modified seed.
- Here are the 6 reasons why scientist create genetically modified seed.
- resistance to insects
- tolerance to herbicides
- tolerance for heat, cold or drought
- crop yield
- give GM foods stronger colors
- increase their shelf life or eliminate seeds.

3.Name 3 health concerns linked with GMOs. In your opinion, why do some scientists think these
concerns are unfounded?
- The 3 health concerns to GMOs are safe, healthy and sustainable. In my opinion I think maybe
they will need proof if those GMOs are truly effective to our health or not.

4. Explain how are allergies linked to GMOs? Give an example to support your answer.
- GMOs contains higher level of specific nutrients, such as protein, calcium, or folate. Based on my
Theory there is no specific assurance that the percentage of the GMOs are not 100% safe because
not all content are equally distributed required to human.

5. What is antibiotic resistance? What are the health implications of developing antibiotic
resistance? Explain using your own words.
- Antibiotic-resistance is a bacteria can resist antibiotics, and they making them hard to kill. For
me I rather do some exercise so that I can be physically fit and eating healthy food, so aside of
taking antibiotic I must say I can be cure and be healthier just to counteract the antibiotic.

6. Explain how genetic engineering of seeds can result in making them antibiotic resistant?
- There are some scientist that can study the genetic engineering of seeds can be an antibiotic
resistant, and maybe it will take a long to study for them just to confirm this antibiotic.

7. According to the article, on what basis was the rat experiment for linking GMOs to cancer
rejected?
- Based on the article it was basis to the herbicide Roundup and Roundup-tolerant GM Corn to
cancer and premature death in rats.
Essay: Do you believe that the GMO are a positive or negative for humanity? Explain your answer
and provide supporting facts.
- In my opinion GMO for me is a positive for humanity, and it also depends to them on how
they will apply and taking care of their self. As long as were taking care of our health and
have a healthy lifestyle there’s no longer to worry about, because I do believe that health
is wealth.
