1. M/s Toshiba Mitsubishi-Electric Industrial Systems Corporation (TMEIC) India

(March 2019 to present) :
Designation: Senior Mechanical Design Engineer (Team Lead)

Responsibilities:
• Preparation of mechanical BOM, Manufacturing drawings, Customer approval drawings, technical
specifications & calculations for AC motors.
• Assigned to the tasks of selection of Bearings, Heat exchangers and Shaft material as per
Client/Customer requirement.
• Development of Cost Effective Detailed Layouts & Assembly of Components.
• Carrying out the work accordance to company norms, design rules.
• Ensuring quality & timeliness (OTD) for drawings and design documents & BOM releases.
• Design reviews with CFT to address project specialties & challenges.
• Preparation of various manufacturing drawings, detailing as per industry standards and having
discussions with CFT for suitability of manufacturing of the components.
• Implementation of cost reduction ideas to the existing design wherever it is suitable without

60Hz Motor.

Description : Replacement motor with center height matching of 450mm With base frame 400mm
modification of stator frame.
3) Client: L&T POWER
Description : First time use of SIC (Separable Insulated Connectors) in place of PSTB main T.Box
And First time execution of Double cage Rotor type Motor.
4) Client: Kalyani Steel
Description : Replacement machine of center height 710mm with Stator Frame center height 560
mm and matching Base frame as per previous Motor dimensions.
5) Client: DVC
Description : First time implementation of Speed sensor and Key phasor arrangement on Fin frame
Motor as required by the customer.
6) Vendor discussions for First time implementation of Accessories on Motor .
7) First time Development of Spring Loaded design for 2P motors when Coupled with VFD drive.

2. M/s Kirloskar Electric Limited (May 2015 to Feb 2019) :

Designation: Mechanical Design Engineer

AC- Machines. (April 18th 2016 -Feb 2019)

Responsibilities:
• Responsible for complete mechanical design of Motors for Domestic & international markets.
• Assigned to the tasks of selection of Bearings, Heat exchangers and Shaft material as per Client
requirement.
• Development of Cost Effective Detailed Layouts & Assembly of Components.
• Preparation of design calculations for verification of Bearing Life and shaft Factor of Safety.
• Answering Enquiries by giving optimized designs.
• Co-ordination with the Electrical Designers for Tender Purpose after completion of Design to offer
complete Motor Quotation in short time for Tender by giving optimized and efficient designs.
• Calculations for suitable selection of Bearings as per the requirement of Client.
• Discussion with Vendors for Preliminary Quotation and to check if motor Manufacturing is
possible before issuing the Tender.
• Preparation of Dimension Drawing indicating motor dimensions for initial approval from Client.
• Preparation of BOM using SAP after receiving approval for manufacturing from client.
• Carried out various manufacturing drawings, detailing as per industry standards.
• Exposure to IS and IEC standards.

Major Projects Handled:

1) Cost Reduction of Existing Vertical HV Machines in Standard IC 611 Series

• Cost reduction in Stator and Rotor suitable for highest rating designed by Electrical Team
• Calculation of factor of safety, deflection & critical speed.
 • Development of Single Bearing instead of a Double Bearing Arrangement for further reduction in
cost.

2) Matching of Existing Motors to suit Company (KEC) standard Motor

• Electrical Team designs and provides the input and the frame in which it has to be designed in
considering the Customer requirement.
• A preliminary layout is designed with respect to Customer site restrictions to suit the existing motor
matching the major mounting dimensions of Existing motors.
• Optimized Cost effective weights are offered after Verification of Bearing and Shaft Life check
suitable as per company's standards.
• Interacting with Costing Team for availability of the product in market.
• Interaction with Vendor if Special Bearing is required for specific Application of Customer and when
there is Water Cooler (HE) for quotation purpose.
• Reducing the Enquiry answering response to Help Marketing to Submit the Tender on time without
error.

3) Fin frame 315F Special

• Preparation of Outline drawing and layout.

• Accommodation of a larger Blank size and in a XL size body and reducing the center height to match
as per the Client existing requirement
• Calculation of factor of safety, deflection & critical speed.
• 3D Modeling, assembly and manufacturing drawings using Solid works and Auto CAD.
• Continuous interaction and Coordination with Planning, Procurement, Quality control, shop floor
and marketing team for smooth outcome of products.

4) Vertical Fin frame 400F Special

• Preparation of Outline drawing and layout.

• Visited Client site for physical dimension verification after initial Client discussion.
• Discussed the requirement of the client and asked for necessary changes if any that were to be
made in the present design.

DC- Machines (May 2015 - April 2016)

Designation: Mechanical Design Engineer

Responsibilities:
• Preparation of Detailed DC motor Layout.
• Involving in RMC Cost Reduction process by Design modification.
