The teacher will review the students about their previous lesson.
C. Motivation
The teacher will present an IQ challenger and the students shall answer the
problems being asked.
D. Lesson Proper
D1. The teacher will call the students for the short dialogue they prepared with
their chosen partner and have it presented in class.
D2. The teacher will ask the students questions connected with the dialogue they
presented.
D3. The class will read and comprehend the Auld Lang Syne Lyrics and the poem
“I Think Continually of Those Who Were Truly Great” and verbally answer the
motive questions being asked.
IV. Generalization.
It feels so good to be recognized for your hard work. As for Shakespeare’s quotation,
we must not be afraid of greatness. Some are born great, some achieve greatness, and
others have greatness thrust upon them. The greatness is innate within each one of us.
V. Application.
On a half-sheet of paper, the students will answer the questions on the Reading Text 1
and Reading Text 2, pages 121 and 122.
VI. Evaluation.
The class will reread and comprehend the Auld Lang Syne Lyrics and the poem “I
Think Continually of Those Who Were Truly Great” and will have to compare and
contrast the similarities and differences of each text.
