Introduction
The importance of education in the world is very important, as a society we
must find the way in which all people who receive education receive it in the best form,
in such a way that they understand, and learn what is being taught.
Currently in our society we find different changes, these are related to culture,
globalization, customs, economy and other factors, so in each place there are different
ways in which education is imparted, however, although the forms are different, they
all have the same purpose, that of transmitting knowledge to society. In this work, we
will talk about the educational models, the capacities, skills that are developed, their
performance, the models that are most frequently used in different places, making a
comparison of countries, and showing their differences with respect to Mexico.
All this in order to further expand our vision and knowledge about educational
models. By knowing an educational model, the teacher can learn how to develop and
operate a curriculum, taking into account the elements that will be decisive in the
didactic planning. Therefore, it is considered that the greater knowledge of the
educational model by the teacher will generate better results in the classroom.
Development of the topic

Educational models
An educational model is a compilation or synthesis of different pedagogical
theories and approaches , which guide teachers in the preparation of study programs
(Zimiya, 2018).
The traditional educational model focuses on the preparation of a study
program, without too many additional elements since social needs or the intervention
of specialists are not taken into account explicitly, among other factors (Zimiya, 2018).

It is a complex concept that could be defined as a set of established norms that

guide the teaching process. In other words, different approaches, both pedagogical
and educational, that were a pattern in the development of a study program. Therefore,
their purpose, among others, to guide teachers in their teaching, establishing an
educational model, allows education in the same place to be homogeneous. With this,
it becomes possible to study in a specific center and be able to change to another
without problem. If there were no educational model, each teacher would teach in a
completely different way. This would mean that there would be no control over what is
taught, nor could a reference be established when evaluating. In addition, it would be
much more difficult to change schools, since validating would not be easy

According to Antonio Gago Huguet (2021) educational models are an

archetypal or exemplary representation of the teaching-learning process, in which the
distribution of functions and the sequence of operations are exhibited in the ideal way
that results from the experiences gathered when executing a learning theory.

Importance of educational models

Educational models help us to answer the next questions: what is education
for? What to teach to achieve the goals? and how to teach more effectively? (Heredia,
2016). It is necessary in any educational offer.
The education model is perhaps one of the most important indicators in
determining the level of development of a nation.

It is also important since the teacher learns to develop and operate a study plan,
taking into account the elements that will be decisive in didactic planning, which now
results in didactic sequences. Therefore, it is considered that the greater knowledge of
the educational model that teacher has, the better results that will be generated in the
classroom and will focus on the development of a study program, without too many
additional elements since it does not explicitly take into account social needs or the
intervention of specialists, among other factors.

On the other hand, educational models are important because they allow the
parts and elements of a study program to be clearly and synthetically outlined, or the
components of one of its parts to explain that it varies according to the historical period
in which they appear and are in force. In the degree of complexity, in the type and
number of parts that they present, as well as in the emphasis that the authors place
on some of the components or on the relationships of their elements and the
knowledge that the programs and their parts have will be determinant for teachers to
develop efficient didactic plans and obtain better results in the classroom (SEP,2016).

Educational models around the world

In this section we will be talking about some countries and their educational models:

South Korea
Education in South Korea is strict and rigorous.
Students generally attend school seven times a week and
spend more than 12 hours a day to understand the theories
and concepts, either at home or at school (Zimiya, 2018).

Finland
The educational model in Finland is demanding and
flexible at the same time. Students attend 5 hours to school
and do not take home homework, as the Finnish system
has the challenge of learning based on experience (Zimiya,
2018).
Japan
This country has a great investment in
technology, it has a standardized academic plan. The
average number of days students attend classes is
about 240 per year, in addition to receiving personalized
tutoring on non-working days in order to complement
their learning (Zimiya, 2018).

Canada
One of the strengths of Canadian universities
is research, and thanks to this the graduates have
many opportunities to develop projects in the areas
of environment, agriculture or technology among
others, which in turn receive the support of public
entities and private (Zimiya, 2018).

Russia
In Russia, the state organizes the education
system ensuring that it is general, free and
available to all. From preschool children focus on
intellectual development and the development of
motor skills through physical activity .
The primary school and the baccalaureate are
part of the general education and here the students receive emotional and social
training, with the aim that they can adapt to social life and work assertiveness with
people. As for the academic curriculum, each school has theirs, with the requirement
that they meet state guidelines, so some institutions specialize in certain areas
(Zimiya, 2018).
Mexico
The country’s educational model, from
preschool to high school, has been updated,
paring back the volume of content, favoring
comprehension over memorization in language
and mathematics and designating classes of
English and social and emotional skills as
obligatory (Montes, 2017).
The objective of the new educational model in Mexico is to reduce the amount of
information that is given to the kids, so that they can focus on learning key information
that will help them “learn learning”.
Conclusion

We think that the only thing that all these models have acquired is seeking a
better education, a way in which students can learn and know more and more
everything related to the environment where they live. Each educational model reflects
their desire to reach an excellence and above all seek a better performance in each
student and despite the fact that at first the measures may not have been adequate,
now each method has been improved in order to improve the education and all this
must be highlighted since they have been very helpful for all of us in their boom times.
On the other hand, the educational models also integrated a process that
contemplates the empowerment, training, preparation and improvement of
increasingly modern teaching methods from the traditional method to nowadays. The
critical social model, with the intensive use of technology and networking, wants to
deliver content, develop skills and encourage a pro strategy. progressive of the
teaching process (SEP, 2016.)

● Suzette
What I was able to learn is that each teaching model is understood as a
project but little more than the fact that they have helped students learn
because it must be emphasized that there is no bad educational model since
they all try to meet the same objective which is to improve education and their
ways of teaching.

● Fatima
Learning about the educational models being, or at least, aspiring to be an
educational psychologist it’s very important. We study the various types of
“studying” therefore reading and investigating these models was very
enriching. And I think it’s always wonderful to try to understand the wide world
ahead of us, thereby we grow as people, we learn more when we learn about
learning.

● Mariana
I think that the educational models can help us with the problem of poor
educational quality because these models can be adaptable to the student's
needs and solve their learning problems. Also these models can be a guide to
the teachers for improving the teaching models.
● Andy
I think it is very important to reflect on the type of education received in each
country, also to know what topics it shows to children, from the youngest to
university students, it is very interesting to know about geopolitics, this can
show us what the political ideology of each country is and how they cross
borders, it is necessary to investigate the curricula of each country, to know
what subjects are taught to children, because sometimes these programs
contain political content that can be difficult to detect. that is dangerous, that is
indoctrination, they tell you what to do and think. It is also very important to
know the study plans, that allows us to know why the society and the
economy of each country have more development than in other nations.

● Karen
I find this topic really interesting because I think that the educational models
around the world reflect the culture of each country. And in the same way, these
educational models will continue determining and constructing their own
societies.
I would also like to add that I think it is very important that we have specialists
in education, so that the educational models can be developed according to the
needs of the students, not only cognitive but also emotional and social.

● Javier
Each educational model has its advantages and disadvantages, but as
students we must put things in our favor that help this teaching-learning
process and that make the educational models not blame for our mistakes
and that of the teachers, clarifying our doubts in class. and obtaining
information by our own means not only keep what they give us
