Annexure - I: Scope of Works
SCOPE OF WORKS:-
Contractor to bring Manpower, all Tools, tackles & Plants, Equipment’s (including material
transporting lift), required to complete the below mentioned scope of works, at his own
cost.
Contractor’s Must be Engaged Skilled labours for Cutting, chamfering, molding, fixing of
flooring Tiles etc., as per Architectural Drawing.
Leveling the floor area with proper slope as per approved levels by Architect/Nexus.
Making hole/slit/groove in the doorframes made of Tiles, for door-locks (as per lock
position), is also in scope of contractor at his own cost.
Lifting & shifting of client supplied all materials (to the designated store AND from store to
the required working locations) is also in scope of contractor at his own cost.
Tiles to be fixed using C:M as per our Required.
Holes in Tile dado for fixing of plumbing/AC pipes, Cut-out/recess in tile dado for
electrical/lift switchbox/Lift-indicator fixing AND Cut-out in tile flooring for nahani-traps will
not be paid extra to contractor. These items will be in scope without any extra payment, if
such items are required to be done on the surface where tile is being fixed .
Cleaning & removing of debris generated out of your works, from all areas after your work
completion, as per instructions of Nexus Site In-charge, at your own cost.
The work front in project shall be taken-up as per the instructions of Nexus Site in-charge.
Tile Joints/ Saandhas to be filled ONLY AFTER acid wash is completed.
Tile protection material to be Supplied by DSR DSRLS on free of cost,
Before starting flooring of any area contractor MUST verify the dimensions at door-frame-top &
door-frame-base for wood as well as Tiles frames. If both are not same (that means door frame is
bulged/twisted) & door-frame-is-not-in-absolute plumb, he MUST refuse to put flooring in that area.
Note: Tiles, Aggregates, Cement, Adhesive, Epoxy Grout, White Cement, River Sand, Fillers,
Colours, Pigment, Masking Tapes, POP & Araldite, Water, Electricity is in DSR DSRLS scope.

WORK PROCEDURE:
Tile makes and style pattern must be re-verified from drawing before start of tile laying
work. Tile base-line / start-point (0-0 point) must be re-verified from drawing, before start
of tile laying work. Contractor should get the Levels checked by Nexus E-I-C by line-Dori
before start of laying work.
Flooring levels of Flat / Toilets / Balcony / Lift-lobby / Staircase must be ascertained before
start of tile laying work. Level checking marks MUST BE marked for Flat / Toilets /
Balconies / Lift-lobby / Staircase simultaneously. All levels MUST BE transferred on door
frames and adjacent wall before start of tile laying work.
For Flooring / Skirting the Base cement colour type (gray / white cement) must be used as
per instructions of Nexus E-I-C, before start of tile laying work. Tile joints for flooring &
skirting must be maximum 1.0 mm wide as detailed Nexus E-I-C. A pigment which matches
to colour of Tiles must be mixed in joint filling materials as specified by tile manufacturer.
Tiles edges must not be tampered for fixing. All Flooring works must be cured for 7 days (3
times in a day) except for IPS / Tremix flooring, after filling of joints. If wooden flooring is
being done anywhere in flat, special care must be taken while marking finished flooring
levels.
Contractor should confirm (in writing) Slope in flooring for Balcony / Toilet / Terrace /
Water-body areas with Nexus E-I-C and should get it checked at regular interval.
Mortar must be used within 30 minutes of mixing water in dry mortar.
Masking tape must be used to protect tile joints from getting dirt.
Thickness of mortar bedding must be laying as per site requirement. If mortar thickness is
becoming less than / More than required, the contractor should inform Nexus E-I-C and
execute the further bedding work as per his instructions.
Thickness of mortar bedding must be Laying as per site conditions. If mortar thickness is
becoming more than our requirement the contractor should inform Nexus E-I-C and execute
the further bedding work as per his instructions.
Flat-area / Common area Tiles top must be protected by POP-Paste / POP-Sheet / Bubble-
Sheet / Rubber-Sheet, as directed by Nexus E-I-C. Sheet will be provided by DSR DSRLS on
free of cost. Contractor will lay the sheets on free of cost. After work completion, removal
of sheets from top of flooring and collecting all sheets at location instructed by site in-
charge, is also in scope of contractor.
Contractor to sign PMC’s quality checklist without any extra cost to client.
During the rainy season if client insist for any flooring-works in the open-to-sky area and if
such completed work gets washed-out due to rains, client to pay extra for removing the
washed-out-flooring works and for relaying flooring in such areas.
If windows are not installed timely and flooring/dado works get spoiled due to rains, in the
building-areas where works had already been completed by the contractor, client to pay
extra for removing the washed-out-flooring works and for relaying flooring in such areas.

THIS ANNEXURE FORMS AN INTEGRAL PART OF WO NO: DSR DSRLS\WO\00\22-22 DT:
1. Billing Schedule:
a) Monthly One RA Bill Allowed.
b) The bill must be raised as per the format provided by the Client/ Project
Management Consultants (PMC), as per actual work done measurement.
c) Bills must be Approved by the Project In charge/ Project Management Consultants
(PMC).
d) Any deviation in bills will not be considered.
e) Bills should be submitted in triplicate along with a soft copy and checklist given by
Client/ PMC.
f) Material reconciliation to be submitted for every RA bill (Usage & stock at site)
Purchase order / Delivery Slip to be attached every month for RA bill.
g) Final Bill should be submitted within one month of project completion, failing which
we shall make final bill on your behalf and close the issue and the same will be final
and binding on you
2. Payment Terms:
1. Payment shall be release within 15 days from the date of Submission of Certified bill.
2. TDS shall be deducted as per the Govt norms and relevant TDS Certificate shall be
issued by DSR – DSRLS PROJECT.
3. Retention Money:
a) 5% shall be deducted on your Every Running Bill, the same shall be release after
6months from issuance of completion Certificate / report by the client to
Subcontractor.
a) The rates mentioned in this work order shall remain firm and valid during the period
of contact. No increase in rates will be entertained due to any escalation in labor
cost,
consumables and materials cost, However, DSR-DSRLS PROJECT reserves the right to
revise the rates downwards due to changes in rate of material / labor.

5. Variation of Scope of Work:
6. Supervision:
1. The Contractor is responsible to appoint at his cost a senior technical representative to oversee
operations subject to the approval of Project Manager.
7. Workmanship:
1. The Contractor shall carry out the works to the entire satisfaction of the company, in according
with the drawings and specifications, written instructions, directions and explanation, as may
be given by the architect and the company. The Contractor on request of company furnish to
them all invoices, accounts, receipts and other vouchers to prove that the material complies
therewith. The Contractor shall be his win cost arrange to carry out test of any material which
DSR DSRLS PROJECT may require.
8. Time of Completions:
1. Contractor shall Immediately on receipt of this order commence the work in coordination with
Project Manager / Engineer and complete the work within in agreed time frame.
1. The Contractor shall not assign this contract to sub-contractors. The Contractor may, however,
sub-contract any part of the work with prior written consent of Project in Charge. This sub
contracting shall not relieve the contractor from any of his responsibilities, obligation’s and
liabilities under this contract / labor.
1. During defects liability period of one year (Starting from the date of commissioning /
Installation as accepted by DSR DSRLS or such period defined in work order,
any defect noticed in materials supplied/workmanship shall be replaced/rectified at your own
cost. Any losses / damage arising out of such defect workmanship or Installation /
commissioning, DSR DSRLS shall have the right to claim / recover any damages or cost
incurred from retention amount.

11. Water & Electricity:
a) Water & Power shall be given at one point free of cost. Further extension shall be
in the contractor's scope.
1. You shall provide at your cost Insurance coverage for all the workers, Labor, workmen's
compensation policy and third-party Liability.
2. You shall be wholly responsible for full compliance with the provisions under the labor laws.
3. You shall not employ any labor less than 18 years of age on the Job.
4. You will be responsible and liable for payment for all personnel employed by you, and
Statutory liability like PF, ESI payments under workmen compensation act.
13. Assistance:
1. If Requested by Contractor and required, DSR DSRLS PROJECT may provide Scaffolding
materials. However, that does not give right to the contractor to comply DSR DSRLS PROJECT
to demand the scaffolding materials. If provided, protecting it from damage shall
be responsibility contractor. DSR DSRLS PROJECT shall recover such claim that may
arise due to theft / damage of such scaffolding material provided by DSR DSRLS PROJECT
Assistance.
1. Arranging any hand tools and expendables required to execute the work shall be the
responsibility of contractor and deemed to be included in the unit rate quoted otherwise
specifically mentioned in work order.
1. Authorized / Representative / Supervisor and support team of contractor must comply with
site safety requirements and wear hard safety helmets at all time while on site and use safety
devices to prevent accidents at site. The work area must be kept clean and free from debris. All
Safety measures for man, machines and materials of the contractor are in contractor's scope
till completion of work. DSR DSRLS PROJECT reserves right to impose penalty for any
such violation by the Contractor.

16. Variation in Quantities:
Quantities indicated in the B0Q against cache item are only indicative and subject to re
measurement. The rate shall not alter quoted on account of any variation / deletion nor
shall it vitiate the Work Order in any way. We reserve the rights of deletion /
modification / addition of any items during the contract. The variation allowed shall be t
15%, however in the event of the Quantity Exceeding the % mentioned above, part rate
(60% of the original rate) shall be considered for billing purposes. The Overall Quantity
variation shall be captured in the amendment after completion of works as per final bill
certification. Reasons for the variation shall be clearly mentioned with the help of the
drawing, sketches which shall be approved by the Project- In charge.
1. DSR DSRLS PROJECT reserves right to terminate the work order on account of poor
progress of work, bad workmanship / not adhering to quality standards / falling to comply with
material specifications mentioned in work order / failing to comply with safety standard /
labor laws / failure to adhere to statutes or adversely affecting " DSRLS PROJECT " interest with
clients.
The Decision of DSRLS PROJECT is final. In such case any payment due to contractor shall be based
on
actual work done at that time of termination after deducting loss, if any, that DSRLS PROJECT may
suffer
due to default. If DSRLS PROJECT is unable to recover its losses, it reserves right to for felt the
retention
amount, if any.

20. House Keeping:
Housekeeping at site should be of the highest order. All the debris generated should be
disposed on a day-to-day basis. Debris should not be dumped everywhere at site.
Shifting and removal of debris from the site shall be done on daily basis or on mutually
agreed periodicity. The client retains the right to deduct a part of your running bill, if
the housekeeping is found inadequate or wanting. The retained amount shall be
released on satisfactory completion of housekeeping.
1. Waste arising out of work carried out under this work order must be safely disposed of in the
spell heap as directed by Project Head or authorized representative of DSR DSRLS.
1. The Contractor shall strictly and duly observe and implement all Environment, health and
safety and precautionary measures to ensure highest environment health and safety (EHS)
standards during execution of contracted work.
2. The Contractor shall be personally liable for any failure to adhere to prescribed or agreed
environment, health and safety norms and precautions.
3. All the Vehicles coming in to project sites should possess valid emission test certificate under
rule 115,7, Fitness certificates (Rule 62), Driving License.
4. Appropriate certificate / tax paid receipt which are mandatory as per central motor vehicles
rules 1989 and motor vehicles act 1988.

The pendency of such a dispute shall be independent of your obligations about the said
Works and shall not result in suspension of the said Works.
If the contractor fails to complete the works by due date instructions, as per para 1, Scope
of works and despite repeated if the contractor fails to show satisfactory progress of the
work, the employer may take suitable action as deemed fit, including laying of liquidated
damages, not exceeding 0.5% of contract price for delay of every week or part thereof,
subject to a limit of liquidated damages levied under the clause to 5% of contract price
without prejudice to any terms and conditions of the contract. The deduction of such sums
shall not, however, absolve the contractor of his responsibility and obligations to complete
the work in its entirety.
