Instructions: The class will be divided into two groups. They will be given chalks and each member should write words that are
connected to computer system. The team who got more words will be declared the winner.

PRESENTATION
A. Teaching Style: Discussion
Essential Components of a Computer
A computer is any device capable of processing information to produce a desired result. Computer typically works in three
well-defined steps: (1) accepting input, (2) processing the input according to predefined rules (programs), and (3) producing
output.

Tips and Safety precautions before starting to build a computer:


1. Make a list you will need to buy. Make sure it will be compatible.
2. Choose the maximum you can afford in terms of hard drives and memory chips.
3. Computer parts are stored and packed in antistatic bags. Remove it only when ready to install.
4. Computer parts should snuggly, fit together.
5. As you work with the computer, make sure that the power is off.
6. The power supply is advised not to open unless you know it well.

Answer the activity about the flow of data inside the computer system. (Activity 1, Page 7)
C. EVALUATION
Result of the activity.
