Power Distribution Module


Overview:
Altronix PD8 power distribution module converts a single AC or DC input into eight (8) individually fused outputs.

Specifications:
Input:
• 28VAC or 28VDC max., up to 12A.
• Main fuse rated @ 5A/250V.
Outputs:
• Eight (8) individually fused outputs (fuses are rated at 3.5A; up to 5A fuses may be used).
• Surge suppression.
Fuse Ratings:
• Fuses are rated @ 3.5A/250V.
Visual Indicators:
• Power output LED indicator.
Additional Features:
• Power ON / OFF switch.
Board Dimensions (L x W x H, approximate):
5.25” x 3.25” x 1” (133.4mm x 82.6mm x 25.4mm).

Installation Instructions:
1. Mount PD8 in the desired location/enclosure.
2. Connect the desired power supply output to terminals marked [INPUT] (Fig. 1a).
Note: If using DC voltage, left terminal is NEG. (-) and right terminal is POS. (+) (Fig. 1a).
3. Measure output voltage before connecting devices. This helps avoiding potential damage.
All terminals with common suffix P “1P, 2P...” are the same polarity.
4. Set power switch [SW1] to the OFF position.
5. Connect each device to the terminal pairs 1 to 8, marked [1P-1N] through [8P - 8N].
6. Output fuses rated at 3.5A/250V (Replacement fuses can be rated at up to 5.0A).
7. Set power switch [SW1] to the ON position.
