CWTS2 Guidelines
Course Description:
CWTS – refers to the Program component or activities contributory to the general
welfare and the betterment of life for the members of the community or the enhancement of its
facilities, especially those devoted to improving health, education, environment,
entrepreneurship, safety, recreation and moral of the citizenry and other social welfare services.
The Community Immersion and Support System (CISS) - involves students and school
in community work in terms of socio-civic programs.
Community service projects enrich the lives of those performing the service and those
on the receiving end. A community service project plan guides the planning of the event to
ensure all bases are covered. The plan outlines all details of the project from the beginning to
the follow up. Thorough planning makes the project more effective in its scope and impact on
the community.
1. Coordinate with the barangay office for the survey activity that they will be performing.
2. Students will go around the community in a “buddy system” or by group.

3. Students must be aware on relevant information regarding their assigned barangay
(location, landmarks, boundaries).
4. Survey forms are properly accomplished, with all the fields filled-up.
5. Students must return to the institution for debriefing.
6. Returned the collected data for analysis and interpretation.
1. Create a community service project committee to help with the planning process.
2. Identify the project the group will perform.
3. Define the project goals. List all of the expected outcomes of the project in very
specific goal statements.
4. Refer to the goals to create a list of the tasks that need to be completed for the event.
5. Develop a time line for the project. Identify the project date.
6. Create a schedule for the day of the event.
7. Identify the participants in the community service project.
8. Create an assessment to determine how well the group meets the project goals.
The NSTP1 course last semester will be the basis in carrying out practical projects that
will be conducted by NSTP2 students. The NSTP2 this semester is designed to create current
effect of benefits to the selected community beneficiary.
Community Immersion is a very important part of NSTP program as required for the
completion of NSTP2 course. It is a vital approach in community organizing work that requires
understanding of the different community matters, procedure, changing aspects and lifestyle
out of experience and engagement in different civic activities.
For the CWTS Program they will focus more on the civic programs which will be
relevant to the needs of the community, while the LTS program will target the tutorial service
with the selected clients specifically, elementary level and out of school youth.
NSTP Students:
1. Strictly follow the rules established by the Center for National Service Training
Program as well as the class rules imposed by the faculty in-charge.

3. Attendance will be based on their presence and participation in the community and the
submitted requirements every week.
4. Practice the principle of volunteerism with full spirit of honesty and integrity in the
attainment of the real community immersion.
NSTP Faculty
2. Conduct a regular consultations, follow-ups, and close monitoring especially during the
conduct of the activities.
4. Address properly all the related queries, issues, and concerns of the students.
5. Make them comfortable during the activities and report all concerns to the CNSTP for
the efficiency of our community immersion.
NSTP-CWTS2 REQUIREMENTS
1. The students must choose minimum of 4 projects as their commitment in the completion
of the course.
2. The students must complete the projects they chose with proper report/documentation.
3. The students will give updates every week regarding the progress of the project, they
may upload it in the Google Classroom.
4. The students must make sure that they are always ready during monitoring.
5. The students must participate in all the undertakings set by the CNSTP as well as the
faculty-in-charge.
