1.0 INTRODUCTION
1.1History of Visual Study

Visual art is believed to have existed more than 40,000 years ago where they left their
works painted on the surface of rocks and caves. People who lived 40000 years ago used sharp
tools to produce their work.This art is also one of their ways to communicate with each other.
They also use this art to tell us their life stories. Art figures have investigated the production,
form and reception of images and objects to distinguish past and present art from the viewpoint
of various cultures.

1.2 The Importance of Learning Visual Arts

Being a visual learner requires thinking in pictures rather than words. Visual learners
learn best by using graphs, tables, charts, maps, colors and diagrams. They also tend to learn
holistically, rather than sequentially, or piecemeal. One of the benefits of being a visual student is
that it is easy to see the big picture. This is also the case, students can see a picture that explains an
area or a situation. Visual study does not only explain about an art that is painted or colored, but art
also plays an important role in communicating with society. "special". In addition, visual culture
refers to real or imaginary expressions that can be seen by the community, country or civilization to
describe the characteristics of the body as a whole. It is also very helpful for the processing of
ideograms or pictographs until the creation of the alphabet. Visual art is also important to produce
people who are art literate and cultured. In addition, with the knowledge of visual arts among the
people, they will understand various treasures in the context of the nation's heritage art.

2.0 MAIN BODY

2.1 The Basic / Fundamental Visual Studies

Visual study are those who process and vetain information best when they can see it.Visual
study often prefer to sit in the front of the class with the lecture closely.Often,these student will find
that information makes more sense when it is explained with the aid of a chart or illustration.Visual
study have many strengthsthat will help them.Foe example, comprehends charts and graphs
quickly,able to convey complex ideas visually and good at sign language and other visual
communication.

Visual study strategies are try these many techniques to improve your comprehension
retention and concertration while studying. Ask for a demonstration. Visual study need to see how
something is done. Whenever possible,ask your teachers for a visual demonstration.once you see the
concept or principle in action,you will have an easier time understanding it and recalling it later.

2.2 . The FIVE (5) Principal of Visual Studies

The formal principles of visual study are well known to art educator.First prinviples is
power.Power is the key principle because most of the other principle intersec wih issue of
power.Power is central to a consideration if imagery because all imags involve an assertion of
ideas,valves and beliefs thet serve the interests of those for whom they are made political,social and
economic.

Second principles is ideology.Images are sites of ideological struggle.Ideology refera to


ideas,ideals,beliefs and values.It is a characteristic way of thinking a style of thought, an interpretive
scheme employed bypeople to make the world intelligible to themselves.

Third principles is representation.Representation is closely aligned with ideology because it


refers to how ideology is presented in visual form.It refers to much more than a more likeness.

Fourth principles is seduction.If ideologies work because the are ground in through
repetition.They are equally effective because they come wrapped in seduvctive form images are
seduction in a variety of ways.

Fifth principles is gaze.While the foregoing principles primarily concern the images we look
at the gaze concerns how we look at images and the circumstance under which we look.

2.3 The FIVE (5) Visual Elements

The elements of visual study are ingrediants that can use line.Identify six kinds of lines are
structural
line,outline,continue line,gesture line of movement line,sketch line and implied
line.Especially,outline is definedasedgelinewhite contour lines are used to describe shapes of objects.

Second elements is value.The value is the Intensity of white in color ,also know as brightness
and luminance.Value cannot to multiple things such as creating mood as well as to describe the depth
of objects.

Third elements is color.Color is a very important elements of visual study that decides the
mood of a art.For examples,red conveys feeling such as passion,orange can been seen as
energetic,yellow can show brightness,greenfeelsfreshness and so on.However,it should be noted that
different cultures interpret meaning of colours differently.

Fourth elements is shape.The shape is two-dimensional object made by line and it broadly
can be categorizedintotwo type,geomatric and organic.

Fiffth elements is space.Space is a place where objects,both two and these dimensional
(2D/3D exist.Inparticular,the method of depictiing 3D space on 2D surface is called perspective.

3.0 CONCLUSION

In this topic, the basic knowledge of visual art becomes an important material and its
implementationis notlimited to a set time but can be absorbed and applied in other subjects at any
time. There are 5 principles of visual studynamely power, ideology, representation, seduction and
gaze, all of them have their respective functions. Elementsofvisualstudy such as line, value, color,
shape and space are also discussed. Overall, this assignment can increase knowledgeinartlearning.
