1. Select a computing device or gadget (i.e., smartphone, tablet, and laptop) that you currently have access

The architecture of iOS is layered. The applications and the hardware are separated
by an intermediary layer, preventing direct communication between them. Basic
services are provided by the lowest levels of iOS, and the user interface and complex
visuals are provided by the upper layers.
f. What makes the operating system unique? Rationalize your answer. (5 points)
Answer:
Compared to other existing operating systems, iOS promotes good quality of security
and privacy since only Apple Inc. is allowed to develop a device using their operating
system; compared to the android OS and Windows OS which are allowing different
companies to use their operating system. In addition, the uniqueness of iOS is it has
an easy-to-use user-centered design and allows app developers to make apps that
can be downloaded through the iOS app store.
