    GUIDELINES FOR ESSAY WRITING CONTEST/SANAYSAY

    1. The contest is open to all Senior High School students. One participant per campus/per
    category. Participants must be in school uniform.
    2. Numbers shall be drawn by each contestant for the placement and numbering of the material.
    Numbers shall be written at the back of the paper.
    3. The essay piece shall contain a minimum of 500 words but not to exceed 1000 words.
    4. English shall be used as medium for essay and Filipino for Sanaysay.
    5. Contestants should be provided three (3) sheets of paper. Blank ink should be used. One inch
    margin each side.
    6. Contestants are given one (1) hour to write their piece.
    CRTERIA FOR JUDGING:
    a. Substance of the Content --------------------- 30%
    b. Relevance to the Theme ----------------------- 25%
    c. Organization of the Clarity of Ideas --------- 25%
    d. Mechanics ----------------------------------------- 20%
    TOTAL ----------------------------------------------- 100%

    GUIDELINES FOR POSTER MAKING AND SLOGAN CONTEST

    1. The contest is open to all Senior High School students. One participant per campus per contest.
    Participants must be in Foundation shirt.
    2. Numbers shall be drawn by each contestant for the placement and numbering of the material.
    3. Contestants must provide their own materials.
    4. Contestants will sketch/draw his/her poster in a half sheet of illustration board with portrait
    layout, no margin and the medium is oil pastel.
    5. For the slogan, contestant shall write his/her slogan in a one fourth illustration board in a
    landscape layout with a maximum of fifteen (15) words.
    6. Two (2) hours will be allotted for the poster making and one (1) hour for the slogan.
    7. No markings should be made on the material like writing of name/initials/branch or campus.
    8. Numbers of the contestants shall be written at the back of the illustration board by the
    facilitator.
    9. Contestant in the poster making shall deliver a two-minute brief description of his/her output.
    CRITERIA FOR JUDGING (POSTER)
    a. Creativity ---------------------------------------- 25%
    b. Relevance to the Theme ---------------------- 30%
    c. Workmanship ----------------------------------- 15%
    d. Visual impact ------------------------------------ 20%
    e. Brief appearance ------------------------------- 10%
    TOTAL -------------------------------------------- 100%
    CRITERIA FOR JUDGING (SLOGAN)
    a. Creativity/artistry ------------------------------- 20%
    b. Relevance to the theme ----------------------- 40%
    c. Workmanship ----------------------------------- 20%
    d. Visual impact ------------------------------------ 20%
