• By using local material, the embodied


energy of rammed earth facade is more
than 80% less compared to a
conventional brick reference

• The impact of transportation is


significant, especially for massive
constructions

• Aggregation of stages A1-A3 can hide


the impact of transportation in a life
cycle assessment
