Simulation Report File

This document summarizes a report on developing a department portal for RIMT University. It includes an introduction describing the purpose of simulation and modeling labs. It then lists the team members and their roles in creating modules for registration, login, dashboard, notices and attendance functions. Screenshots are provided of the registration, login and dashboard pages. The document concludes with a description of the backend modules developed using HTML, CSS and PHP and stored in a local database.

1. INTRODUCTION OF PROJECT
Projects have long been considered business practices of high value for
organizations, with important results in general. Therefore, project
management is considered a key factor for the success of projects and
strategic objectives of companies [1]. In 1950, the social construct of project
management was first introduced (in the United States Air Force). Its first
proponent was Brigadier Bernard Schrijver, who implemented the concept of
concurrence, integrating all the elements of a project into a single program
and budget, executed in parallel and not in sequence. Since then, specific
techniques have arisen—histograms, chronograms, concepts of the life cycle
of a project, and the work breakdown structure, which make up the
knowledge base of the classic perspective of projects
Simulation and Modelling solves real-world problems safely and efficiently.
It provides an important method of analysis which is easily verified,
communicated, and understood. Across industries and disciplines, simulation
modeling provides valuable solutions by giving clear insights into complex
systems.
Bits not atoms. Simulation enables experimentation on a valid digital
representation of a system. Unlike physical modeling, such as making a scale
copy of a building, simulation modelling is computer based and uses
algorithms and equations. Simulation software provides a dynamic
environment for the analysis of computer models while they are running,
including the possibility to view them in 2D or 3D.
The uses of simulation in business are varied and it is often utilized when
conducting experiments on a real system is impossible or impractical, often
because of cost or time. The ability to analyses the model as it runs sets
simulation modelling apart from other methods, such as those using Excel or
linear programming. By being able to inspect processes and interact with a
simulation model in action, both understanding and trust are quickly built.
This project is made for RIMT UNIVERSITY’S ENGINEERING
DEPARTMENT as an online portal for both students and teacher’s and is
currently in progress and will be completed soon

3. AIM OF PROJECT
This portal provides username and password to the teaching faculty and
students to gain access to an education organization's programs. This is an all-
in-one online portal for all the needs of student’s regarding their academics
where they can get easy access to their overall attendance, mark sheets , fee
information. Also the notices issued by the university can be viewed through
this portal.
The teaching faculty also has the access to this portal in order to mark the
attendance of the students from various semester they are teaching.
